General:
Finish with my favoured 4-3-3. We are going for our established back four to provide consistency and continuity, solid in the middle of the park with aggression, energy and flair, plenty of pace and movement up front, and the full backs getting forward to provide the width.
Defensive:
Mathieu will pick up the main striker, sticking tight and not giving him any space. Miranda will pick up the second striker/AM if there is one, otherwise he will play in a spare role, sweeping up the loose balls and picking up the runners from deep.
The full backs will be getting forward, so Bender and De Rossi to sit and support the CBs defensively.
The front 3 and Pjanic will press from the front to try and stop attacks early. When we don’t have the ball, we want it back!
Attacking:
Suarez to play as the main striker, but all three of the forwards will use pace, trickery and dribbling to run at the defence. They will interchange in a fluid front line that will aim to be difficult to pick up and be leaving the defenders in a cold sweat!
Pjanic to play in the playmaker role from deeper, picking passes and feeding the front 3
The full backs to bomb forward and provide the width, overlapping the forward players. Crosses should be low and between keeper and defence for the strikers to be running on to.

GAME PLAN
Reverting back to the 4-3-3 Formation which has given us a lot of success this season. Without the ball, be cleaver in your movement. From the front-line I want to see you press high up the pitch with the nearest man closing the ball. Retreat back to your positions forcing Atletico to really move the ball backwards / sideways. On the ball, keep things simple yet effective. I want to see lots of movement and quick interchanges by getting the wide-players involved. Let's finish the season on a high and take all 3 points.
DEFENSIVE TACTICS
- Hold Deeper Shape, Tight Marking, Stay On Feet
Coleman / Coentrao: Limited Full-Back Roles. You will most likely to be marking Menez / De Bruyne / Walcott who will want to run at you. Look to slow play and stop them from getting between you and the CB by isolating their play on the wing.
Thiago Silva: Sweeper Role: Marshall the back-line by being in total command. You will pick up the movement of the Advanced Midfielder / False Nine in De Bruyne or Pjanic by limiting their impact. Look to challenge hard and remove any goal threat.
Marquinhos: Limited Defender: Man Mark Lewandowski. He likes to drop deeper to get involved in build up play so get under his skin by giving him no time on the ball and force him to move the ball backwards.
MIDFIELD TACTICS:
Sergio Busquets: Anchor Role: Add extra protection to the back-line and break up every play. Keep things simple. If either winger starts to gain success, look to float over and double-up.
Blaise Matuidi: Box-to-Box Role. Strong in your tackles and look to scrap and pick up every loose and second ball. If Atletico play with either 2 defensive mids or 3 regular mids, identify the creative player and pressure him on the ball. Look to link up in attacking play very late by arriving at the edge of the box.
Ilkay Gundogan: Deep Lying Playmaker: Look to carry the ball and start the attacks. Don't be afraid to mix things up and spray the ball around the park. Look to bring both wingers into play. If a shot presents itself don't be afraid to shoot.
ATTACKING TACTICS:
Cavani / Pedro: Only look to do your defensive duties in the opposition's half, look to use your energy to attack! Look to stretch the flanks by hugging the touchline. Present an option and look to get involved in the build-up play with quick interchanges with the midfield. Off the ball, you both have the speed, so look to play off the last shoulder of your full-back and run in behind the Centre-Backs to cause confusion.
Ibrahimovic: Target the deepest defender and look to play with your back to him to shield the ball. Look to force half a yard of space and produce your magic! Don't be afraid to shoot or look to play the ball wide / deeper to build up the attacks. Use your height / strength to throw yourself onto the end of crosses.
SUBS:
ON 70 MINS; Ezequiel Lavezzi will replace Pedro. Swap flanks with Cavani and look to have ago at the tiring back-line.
ON 75 MINS; Yohan Cabaye will repace Ilkay Gundogan. Like-for-like Role. Look to unlock the defense with the killer pass.
ON 80 MINS; Lucas Digne will replace Coentrao. Fresh legs to help deal with any changes made by Atletico
This game was won by the PSG midfield who had the energy and creativity to control the midfield. Atletico looked dangerous when they got the ball to the forwards and caused the PSG defence problems. PSG instructing the forwards to defend in the opposition half worked for most of the game allowing them to focus on attack. I feel f Atletico had a bit more in midfield they'd have got a draw.

Must win today to have any chance of the title, continuing with the 4-2-3-1 that serves us well, with a solid spine which should create chances for us. Messi playing in the number 10 role will give us so much creativity, Mata on his right and Hazard on his left supplying possession and making runs, with Lewandowski playing off of the last defender. Messi plays AM/SS with the aim of dropping off, picking up the ball and running at the Arsenal defence, with Lewandowski, Mata and Hazard creating space or being in space, and with Kroos and Iniesta supplying the bullets it will lead to chances. Kroos and Iniesta to hold, Kroos with plenty of experience playing DM in real life so it isn't an issue.
Cech - Distribute from the back to the fullbacks/CM's, stay in communication with your defence throughout, be wary of long range efforts and ensure you stay big for any one on ones. On occasion go long for Lewandowski or Messi.
Boateng/Chiellini - Chiellini to mark their striker, force him high up the pitch thus limiting his impact close to goal, and Boateng to be the spare man, be first to the second ball and their second striker/AM making runs from midfield. If they play two strikers Boateng marks him and Kroos drops deeper. When in possession bring the ball out of defence and use the midfielders ahead of you to help us play out from the back. Both of you go forward for setpieces.
Ivanovic/Bernat - Both of you to force the Arsenal wingers out wide, do not allow them to come inside as this will cause more problems for our midfield. They will want to cut inside so force them outside and block their crosses at source. They will try to create problems infield so its vital you only show them down the wing. When we have possession, push forward and support Mata/Hazard as they will try to run inside the fullback and you will provide the overlap to either create space or supply crosses into the area for Lewandowski and link with Messi/Kroos/Iniesta. You will need to track back very quickly to ensure we don't get caught on the break.
Kroos/Iniesta - Kroos the box to box man, assist the CB's in dealing with the Arsenal attack when we don't have the ball, but in possession get forward, use your physical presence and incredible energy to our advantage, link with Iniesta/Messi/Mata/Hazard and look to create chances for Lewandowski. Remain composed throughout. Iniesta the playmaker, without the ball drop alongside Kroos but in possession bring the ball out and look to create chances for the front four. Utilise your links with Messi playing just ahead of you, to supply him with the chance to run at Arsenal's defence.
Messi - Playing the AM role, with the ball I want you to drift left and right, drag their DM out of position as they will be assigned to track your runs, swap with Mata and Hazard on occasion to create confusion and leave space for your teammates to run into. Link with Mata, Hazard, Lewandowski, Iniesta and Kroos, look for Lewandowski on the last defender for a through ball and also shoot if you get the opportunity. Get yourself between their DM and the ball, make them go through you and foul you to stop you, thus creating setpiece chances for yourself.
Mata/Hazard - Both playing out wide and both have the pace and trickery to beat the Arsenal fullbacks and get crosses in, but both of you will also have our fullback overlapping giving you the chance to cut inside and get shots in. Swap wings on occasion. Look to supply Lewandowski with chances and also provide yourselves with chances. Link up with Messi, look to supply him as much as possible, and capitalise on the space Messi and Lewandowski's presence will create for you. Without the ball I expect you two to track back and assist your fullback.
Lewandowski - you will be expected to occupy the Arsenal centrebacks, hold up possession and look to turn the defender and shoot. Be strong in the air and look for your teammates trying to pick you out from deep. Shoot on sight. Stay on the last defender's shoulder for any passes in behind. Make runs when Messi is running at the Arsenal defence to either be supplied with a shooting chance or used as a decoy.

For the final week we are up against Real Madrid who need to win to have the best chance of claiming the title. I want that to add extra fuel to our game today and we want to play at our best and look to go out and win the match to have the best chance of claiming third place.

Defensive Instructions:
-Keep the back line solid throughout, squeeze the final third and make it difficult for Real Madrid to get into space
-Varane you are going to man mark the striker who is likely to be Lewandowski.
-Ogbonna be on your toes throughout as you will be covering for Varane, watch the runs down the channels.
-Alves and Monreal you will both need to get back as much as possible, i don't want us to get caught out on the flanks and watch for the wide men cutting inside.
-Khedira you are going to be key in there today, helping to squeeze the Real Madrid attack in the final third and just protect the back 4 in general. Command that area and take control and clear the danger.
-Gotze and Turan be sure to get back in support of Monreal and Alves, make sure you are all working together on the flanks.
Attacking Instructions:
-Modric to pull the strings from deep, make use of the ball into dangerous areas, operating in the final third commanding and controlling the game. I always want you to be looking to create throughout.
-Turan and Gotze you will both get forward on the flanks but i want you to mix your styles up by cutting inside, taking the full backs out wide and looking to just get at them and create.
-Alves you will push on and overlap on the right hand side providing support for Turan allowing him more freedom to roam in that area. You will need to get back and defend as well so don't get too sucked in during the attacks always be ready to get back and support.
-Monreal i want you to be more controlled about your attacking approach by getting forward in a more balanced way, push on and help Gotze but limit yourself and allow yourself enough opportunity to get back and support.
-Marchisio you will be the energy in the midfield, i want you to get up and down the pitch, supporting both attack and defence looking to pressure players in our final third and also looking to provide plenty of movement in their final third.
-Bacca i want you to be everywhere today, making plenty of movement, Modric will find you. You will have support from out wide and centrally, look to make runs off the last defender and work yourself into the box. Bring others into play around you as well by holding up the ball and working in a front 3 with Turan and Gotze.

-70th Minute: Marchisio on for Herrera to refresh the energy in the midifield and play the same role, looking to get up and down the pitch supporting both attack and defence.
-85th Minute: Welbeck on for Gotze to get at the full back for the last few minutes and looking to create from out wide and cutting inside.
-90th Minute: Mandzukic on for Bacca to do a similar job and just keep getting in and around the box and the defensive line of Real Madrid.
Two good teams playing, I feel that the Madrid defence can cope better than the Arsenal defence against each others attackers. The midfield of Arsenal had the physical advantage but as the game worn on and the passing of Iniesta and Kroos would make it difficult to compete at high intensity all game. It's impossible to stop Messi and with Hazard, Mata and Lewy adding to the goal threat it is hard to stop them opening you up. Every team needs a top striker if they want to compete and I feel Bacca is not at that level.

Last game of the season, go out on a high and play attacking football, we want the win to consolidate 3rd place in my debut season!
Courtois - Command your area, they won't likely play many high crosses in with Neymar and Depay out wide, but be on the lookout for through balls
Otamendi/Ramos - Don't let Benzema's movement draw you out of position, one stick tight to him the other covers him spinning off or runs in behind from Neymar/Depay. Be physical with their front 3, see if they can handle it
Carvajal/Alaba - Get forward one at a time to support your wide men, Track the runs from out to in if Neymar/Depay make them, but also be prepared to let them go and pick up the full back/wing back overlapping
Matic - Sit in front of the centre backs, if the wide players are allowed to run by our full backs you fill in and pick them up. Destroy everything in midfield. On the ball, get it moving forward quickly, there's two quality passers in front of you and some serious pace so if you see a long ball then don't be afraid to hit it
Verratti/Cesc - run the game, use your passing to get us going forward quickly, but if we have to keep it for a while and pull them out of position, we can do that too. Look for runs into the channels from the wide men, if they go with 3 at the back we've got them for width, if they go 4 at the back we'll back our guys to do the business. Get into areas where you can take a shot
Muller/Sanchez - Look to target the positioning of the wing backs if they go with 3 at the back, take them on with every opportunity and look for the overlapping runs. Look for cut backs to the midfielders, and Lacazette will always be on the move. If you tuck in, make the centre backs follow you and get Lacazette running at Mertesacker
Lacazette - Use your pace and power , try and isolate yourself on Mertesacker just keep running in behind and the quality of our midfield will find you. Take shots whenever they're on, we need goals from you

If winning at 65 mins, Schneiderlin on for Verratti, shut it down with Matic, Darmian is an option if full backs tiring
If drawing - stick with what we have but look at Imbula/Ox/Azpi as an option for the tiring players for extra energy
If losing - Matic off, Ox on to play right wing and Muller goes up front and go 4-4-2 with Cesc pinging the ball around and lets get goals

Final game of the season and we are against Porto. It's been a frustrating season, where we have stumbled throughout, but I believe that there is a possibility we can get a third place finish in the league with a good win today, it may even be on goal difference.
We have lined up in what looks like a diamond on paper, but it is nothing like a 'normal' diamond formation. The easiest way to explain it is using the player roles.
The general style of play is to go at 100mph, bully them with fast attacking pass and move play, scoring loads of goals. Attacking full backs, quick to pressurise when we lose the ball to win back possession.
PLAYER ROLES
Bravo - Don't let them score. Look to distribute the ball quickly.
Danilo/Marcelo - Both of you have license to get forward and provide width to our side, particularly look to attack down the left as I'm not sure who will play at right back, but I fancy our chances down that side. Danilo to be a little more cautious as Ribery is likely to be his opponent. Look to jockey their wingers out wide.
Pique/Godin - Pique to be the main-marker of countryman Morata, get tight to him and don't let him settle, while Godin gets in behind and watches from runners from midfield. Both get forward at set pieces.
Gabi - The glue in our midfield. Your passing stats are second to none, I want you to sit and distribute the ball forward, either to a full back or CM to keep it simple, or try to find a long pass through to the forwards. When we don't have the ball Fernandinho is likely to be driving forward from midfield and I want you to stop him.
Pastore/Pogba - Both of you in box to box roles, get forward when we are in possession, drive with the ball and run at their midfielders, create passing triangles. One to stay around the edge of the box, the other to charge in. Track back when we lose the ball and look to use your high energy to get it straight back.
Ronaldo - Free role today. Do what you do best, run with the ball. Drift wide, get in behind, you have license to roam anywhere in the final third. I want you to stay high up when we lose the ball for a counter attack rather than wasting energy defending.
Rooney/Tevez - You two will work hard for the team and should play as a two, but get slightly wider than traditional strikers. Your roles are somewhere between the striker and inside forward. Keep moving, looking for space and try to drag their defenders wide with you to create room for Ronaldo. Believe.

Team Talk: Up against Citeh who are strong in central midfield so shall look to block with our 2 DM's & will take them apart from outwide. Shall funnel them outwide like sides against Barca,If play a diamond then just look to get width all the time and keep the midfield solid.
Neuer: Play your usual sweeper keeper role and look to clear balls knocked in behind the defence. Come claim corners and release early for a breakaway.
*If Bale plays up top then Defence to drop deep and negate space in behind
Lahm: Look to force the winger down the line and make him cross the ball into the box, If they play no winger tuck into a tight back 4. If cuts inside then get a tackle in or push towards Bastian. When we have the ball look to overlap Robben and gets balls in for Diego
Hummels: Get tight to Martinez and look to force him back out away from goal, If he creates half a yard look to throw yourself in the way and make a block, When it comes to crosses get tight use your physicalness to outjump.
Koscielny: If they play Bale upfront then get tight to him to stop him using his pace in behind and watch for him running in behind from deep. If play no one watch for the AM coming forwards and cover Hummels if Martinez rolls him.
Rodriguez: Same as Lahm force the winger down the line and make him cross the ball, If play no winger tuck into a tight back 4, When forced inside towards Radja get a tackle in if goes to shoot. When going forwards overlap Reus give him chance to cut inside off the Left.
Schweinstiger: I want you to sit alongside Nainggolan and block the central of midfield, Look to physically dominate the Silva and watch for Yaya making a break forwards and he does. When on the ball get it into Ozil or outwide quickly, Only when we dominant possesion look to get at the edge of the box and be a goal threat. Watch for wingers being forced inside and smash them with a hard tackle.
Nainggolan: Sit alongside Schweinstiger and block the supply into the forward(s) Look to put tackles in on Yaya & Silva and give them no time on the ball when get in your area. Watch for wingers being forced inside and smash them with a hard tackle.
Robben: Look to get the ball and run at the full back twist him inside out and make use of Lahm overlapping. If cut inside whip a shot at goal, If forced down the line look to play Lahm who will underlap in or just whip a ball in. Remember to track back and double up if play a winger.
Ozil: I want you to sit on Yaya so when he goes forwards look to exploit the space he will leave you to create if doesn't go forwards then sit between the DM's & CB's, Look to slip the ball in behind the defense for wingers and Diego to get on too. Don't be afraid to have a shot at goal, Ideally get the ball in behind Kompany & De Vrij with our pacey front 3.
Reus: Look to run at Zabaleta who struggles against pacy dribblers so look to get at him, Look to use your pace to get in behind, When Ozil has the ball look to back in and roll Zabaleta. Watch for Rodriguez coming up behind so look to go whichever way he doesn't. If get forced down the line then turn back and whip the ball in towards the far post. If cut inside look to slide Costa in or shoot at goal.
Costa: I want you to sit on De Vrij, Look to back into him and bully him with your physical presence. Look to make diagonal runs off De Vrij and in behind Kompany. When balls are crossed in look to get the run on the CB and get your header at goal as Hart is unlikely to come. If run in behind shoot cos Hart is good at stopping people rounding him.
Subs:
If Winning with 10 to go - Ozil off for Alonso
If Losing with 5 to go - Dybala & Kane on for Ozil & Nainggolan.
