I have it closer than the commentators but he's fighting well. Gotta be ahead.  A few of the rounds have been close, it's quantity from McDonnell against flashes of quality from kameda.

McDonnell has been superb so far.
Tactically spot on and much more dominant than the first fight.

Got Jamie ahead by 3 doing really well

His footwork, upper body movement and jab have been top drawer for me.

Top performance from McDonnell, aside from the early knockdown in the first fight he's pretty much dominated Kameda for 18 rounds.

Virgil Hunter had Kameda winning clearly too, very strange as i didnt find that hard to score had Jamie by 4

3 or 4 close rounds. Give them all to Kameda you could get it close... But really 4 or 5 rounds looks a par card for me.

Can't see how you could score it to kameda.

Its quite rare to have such strikingly opposite scorecards from 'experts' cannot see how Kameda won

I don't quite understand the commentary situation here.
Sky has American commentary and I assumed it was the CBS feed, but the CBS team had Kameda 8-4.

The Sky team have it 119-108 to McDonnell.

Our commentary is from the world feed they have no investment in the fighters like Paulie and hunter

It's bizarre sometimes how a nation who allegedly like to see a guy come forward and make a fight, sometimes like to score fights to the guy going backwards who lands 3 showy punches a round.

There was an element of quantity v quality about this fight, but McDonnell did a lot of good work, and kameda a lot less of slightly showier work... Nothing like enough to tip the balance. Sunday must be a big drinking day in the states.

Didnt score the fight but McDonnell looked in control for most of it without really dominating per se.

Kameda wasnt able to box at range.
