You invent a few new rules. McCaw has to play with one hand tied behind his back, Nonu has to have his bootlaces tied together and Carter has to wear an eyepatch. also they get an automatic Red card at the beginning of the game for making faces in the warmup

take out their first choice flyhalf. Then take out their back up. Then take out there 3rd choice and leave them with no choice but to call up and play a no hoper; one with 2 big front teeth and a stupidly big flat tail who the management and fans have zero faith in.

You have to fancy the ALL Blacks to win the cup now, but they can easily pick up a raft of injuries against South Africa and Australia in the final. If you see Carter and McCaw hobble off in the first half against South Africa and things suddenly look very different.

South Africa look average to me, or at least not playing like you'd expect South Africa too, Australia look sharp and dangerous, I think a New Zealand and Australia final would be wonderful for this World Cup.

NZ and Aus clearly are the best two teams but Argentina are not far behind them on the displays so far. We will know a bit more after todays game. Who would argentina get in the semis if they beat Ireland?
