Who gets on your wick....
First topic message reminder :
After seeing Kanye spouting all his rubbish on twitter, his new Homeless Look clothing range....and his video game of his mom trying to get into Heaven, could this man actually be any more of a b3ll3nd!
Tell me people.....who gets right on your t!ts!

mountain man wrote:Hannah Fry, she presents the BBC program The Secret Genius of Modern Life and it's very good. Interesting and entertaining but blimey she is so smug. Yes she is smart but wants everyone to know it. Last night her very first words to James Dyson(of vacuum fame) were "I've got a Phd in fluid dynamics".
Good presenter? Yes.
Modest and self deprecating? Absolutely not.
Doesn't everyone?

I wouldn't say they get on my wick as such but the BIG NEWS! that Girls Aloud are reforming for a tour next year "entirely" to pay tribute to the late band member Sarah Harding does strike a chord( pun intended).

TV series and films which when you watch at home are too quiet during dialogue but then REALLY LOUD! during any action.
For example, my tv has a volume range of 0-50. Normally I have it set at 20 for most programs etc. However watching a film on say Netflix or series I need volume at 28 for dialogue but suddenly there is an action scene and it's way too loud so I spend entire time holding remote and turning vol up and down all bleeding film etc. Really annoying.

Yeah, that really grinds my gears. Ooops... wrong thread!
I have a similar gripe regarding volume. All my stations are controlled by the master TV sound control, which I barely ever adjust, then I micro-adjust the volume using the Foxtel box volume control only. On a still and quiet night, I can have the volume level so that I can clearly hear what's being said and I know the sound won't travel too far and bother the neighbours... especially late at night.
That works quite well until I flick onto "Fox and Friends" on Fox News HD, just to see what they're saying.
Honestly, they must crank up the volume in the studio there because it is so much louder than all the other stations. Their sudden noise can set up a chain reaction of dogs wailing and barking across the whole suburb (especially if there's an irate female presenter shrieking on about the missing billions which Biden needs to explain...)
As if their loud-mouthed braggadocio and chronically shrill verbal attacks on some poor country or unfortunate individual who has sinned in their eyes (and ears...) needs to be heard by every living soul. Even when the volume is down to the very last bar (or "1") it's still pretty loud.

Vernon Kaye on radio 2. Just an annoying end of a bell who will say something totally unfunny but will repeat said unfunny thing multiple times.
