Hopefully a topic that will generate some creative ideas. Basically, while the WWE roster has been hit in the upper card, it contains quite a few talents who could do more. If they had a different angle, direction, booking etc they could gain more TV time, exposure etc. They may not reach the top of the card, but may be able to have something more meaningful to do.

So. My example is... Tyler Breeze.

I would look to push Tyler down a tag team route, but with a gimmick. That gimmick being that he doesn't get his hands dirty. He is partners with a tough enforcer/bodyguard type who the company eventually want to turn face (and in turn would gain some exposure) who does 95% of the work in the team. Breeze may tag in for occasional kicks and to generate boos, but will not do the heavy lifting and doesn't even bother with seeking the pitfalls. The commentators can then comment in time about Tyler never being the one to get the victories.

He is, however, the mouthpiece of the team, able to gain heat with an "I'm prettier than you" angle that turns into "when you are this pretty, other people always do the work for you" which would be topical against many cultural POVs now from Insta to Kardashians etc...

The pay off is that the enforcer would grow frustrated at Breeze, the crowd would chant for him to turn face and then he would. After a number of weeks etc of Breeze evading any kind of match or confrontation the pay off match would be on a PPV card (lower/middle) and would give a satisfying face victory. In the meantime depending on the state of the tag team scene the pair could win the titles, if so then the gimmick would include Breeze carrying both belts to the ring and the team being put into tornado style matches where Tyler cannot evade/has to try to evade doing his share of the competing.

In terms of the partner it would be someone who needed a mouthpiece, someone physically imposing and that the company would want to elevate and use in a face role thereafter. However, as they would control most to the matches they would need to be fairly capable in the ring. Names that come to mind (subject to other story lines, injuries etc) would include: Luke Harper, Ryback, Titus, Jason Jordan...

Thoughts? And do you guys have any others that would fit the mix?
