These are just silly odds, and crying out for a print-money-fest.

France are missing an x-factor. Plenty of industry in midfield but not sure Matuidi or Kante offer enough support.

Agree it needs one but not both of them. Think as the game goes on that Martial/Coman need to get on the pitch.

I'd have Coman on at half time. Need an option in behind against a high line. Girouds too slow to beat that

Payet is quite awesome tonight. Most active French player and not a thing done wrong. Griezman was really average in comparison.

West Ham are going to worry that despite Payet signing a new contract that clubs will be admiring his skills at this tournament.

Really don't understand the players removed for subs, yes Giroud scored but Griezmann offers a lot more as an option and Pogba is far more attacking than Kante or Matuidi.

No idea how Matuidi is gonna last 90 here - barely seems to have completed a pass to a French player all night

From having France as my winners pre tournament though they don't have look frail at the back when threatened.

Not entirely sure what you expected from a back 4 featuring Rami, Sagna and Evra?

Varane is the rock that holds the defence together. Without him they don't look half as solid.

Not sure there isnt a hint of 2014 Brazil in this France side.

Yes that defence is quite worrying. Bit too late to change now unless they try Martial instead of Evra!
Few French players under performed tonigh (Griezman, Matuidi, Pogba) but kudos to Romania who defended very intelligently depending on who they had in front.

France looked much better in a 4-2-3-1, with Payet in the 10. The 4-3-3 isn't great for them. Get rid of Matuidi & just play the overhyped Pogba, next to Kante.

Payet and Kante were the stand outs by a mile.

Albania are funny to watch

Both keepers have been good, with the exception of the goal, and this has been a properly spirited effort from the Albanians against an underwhelming Switzerland side.

How can anyone take what Dean Saunders says seriously? If he was managing this side they'd finish 5th in the group.

With 24 teams you're gonna get a lot of mediocrity. The Tournament starts at the quarter finals stage.

The analysis for this game: Bale and Hamsik are pretty good.
