Excellent news - made no sense they could show goals as they happen for midweek games without streams of them being available. Especially as they're streamed to overseas viewers on iFollow.

Not if Sunderland are smart (nothing I've seen demonstrates this).

Cold Tuesday night at home to someone like Barnsley.

Watch in the warmth with a stream, or go to a a half full stadium?

It's amazing anyone ever turns up to PL games past October seeing as they can all be streamed according to your logic

As Olly will no doubt tell you after a 0-0 at home to Burton, it is the most entertaining of all leagues in all football. Couldn't miss a Sheffield United Bolton game if I tried

For a lot of people midweek away games just aren't that feasible with work, kids etc , this is a massive net positive for generating interest in games. There's no way I'm getting to Sunderland last night for kick-off without taking time off.

It's only for midweek games, weekends remain as is.

Fully agree. It can be a chore anywhere, but most of your away fans do it because they love the trip and social aspect more than the football.

Exactly - it's not going to stop the hardcore of away fans who do these matches anyways - but it means us fair weather lot can now access the matches when we all know they're being filmed for highlights shows anyways!

It means Hull will be nakered as last train out is 9.30 to Leeds. And an hour by road, so even less away fans will come. Though Preston are doing a good deal for the game in a couple of weeks of £20 for ticket & Coach to game.

Only reservation will be if they start changing kick off times to suit TV like they do around Europe (some games in Spain start at 11pm).

Good win.
Could have had another penalty.
Disappointed not to score a couple more.
Great to see Kodjia back and Davis get his first Villa goal.
Another clean sheet.

Really hoping now we can push on and move up the table.

Re Redknapp.

I'm not a fan of seeing managers getting sacked, especially so early in the season.

He was brought in to keep them up at the end of last season and they did, by the skin of their teeth(a Bristol City goal and they would be playing league 1 football this season).

I'm not a Redknapp fan.
He did what he was supposed to. He should have walked away in the summer.

Birmingham City FC is a mess.
I know football is a results business, but maybe need to give managers more time.

Good luck to whoever becomes new manager, they will need it.

We've gone from not having a clue about defending to conceding one goal in six games.

Any team losing to Brum is not good.

Only saw last 20 mins of our game, but looked pretty poor.
Has to drop Whelan, pish poor. Hutton wring choice at left back for me, would have liked to see De Laet.

Hopefully just a slip up.

Fulham home
Blues away

Two winnable games there.

Disappointing loss

Apparently GKs can now rugby tackle players from behind when they’ve failed to shepherd a ball out to regain the ball. Interesting addition to the rule book

Genuinely think they might get relegated - always thought they’d crumble as soon as they left the PL, a rudderless ship of a club

Good win tonight.
Preston not Ann easy place to go.
They should of had a definite pen, but we totally deserved the win.
Should of actually scored a couple more at least.

Will take the win and hope we push on and get in the top 2 now.
