I've just come up with that pretty quickly. They'd all be dirt cheap and that would be a pretty insane fifa team.

The pricing has to be consistent with fifa ratings or it's a nonsense.

All those players would be dirt cheap and get good ratings in a league where managers voted too

How the trial goes is irrelevant. It could be better but i was looking forward to season 2 as a tactics based league. Not based on fifa ratings.

I've said I think it should either be a side cup competition or penned in after season 2.

I just really don't get the resistance to it from you Trebs.
In the normal league you've got to try and fathom out the mindset of 9 other people, some of which may just not know about 1 of more of your players etc. There are tactics involved, probably more so than currently as each player can have numerous tweaks.
FIFA ratings, surely a system where the result is decided by something that knows all the components within it is better than the whim of an individual? Using this it's a uniform programme, there's no hidden agendas, there's no favoritism towards players or managers. How is that a bad thing?
This isn't currently a 'tactics' league in any shape of form with 200 words, it's working out each week who's voting and pandering to what they like to see in a team. The only tactic is who's the best politicker.

I'm not arguing with the idea of using a fifa system. I'm fine with that as I've told you privately.

My issue is more that you're completely changing the format of the league midway through a cycle. It would be far better to wait till the next reboot to introduce this.

why is it mid-cycle? why are you obsessed with a 2 season life-span, can't keep re-booting, every single re-boot takes more life out of a league as people lose interest

I wasn't particularly looking forward to season 2, I would have stuck with it but I've been pretty bored with seeing the same results over and over again on my games, and it does seem like some voters just don't like the players on my squad and there's not a lot I can do about that

FIFA at least gives me something I know I can work towards improving on

I agree with Bam, once you get into a place where it's obvious your players for one reason or another aren't gonna be rated, it'll take forever to get that resolved, this way atleast you're not trying to be everything to everyone

regarding Trebs, my final say

I dont see where his argument is? easy for me as short-term I'll benefit with my oldies, but in fairness I signed them expecting them to be rated on here anyway....as for the tactics based league, how can you have a tactics based league with 200 miserly words

Whether it's one season, two seasons or five seasons you can't just completely change the league halfway through.

If everyone else is in favour then so be it, but I'm not participating.

But there's no point quitting yet when it hasn't been finalised yet. Hence the suggestion you wait until the trial to a) see how you feel it goes, and b) see if everyone wants it to happen after the trial

We can't force Trebs into it, personally I'd have hoped he would have at least given the trial a shot and show a willingness to see how it works before making decision on it like Bam has despite his reservations but that's his call to make.

Normally I'd agree with you, but in this instance I think it is almost the lesser of 3 evils. Carrying on as is just going to lead to apathy from a load, a reboot won't be popular either.

Doing this resolves a handful of issues (subjectivity in the votes, difference of opinion on players, tactics not having enough of an impact, the league being a stockbroker league) in the least impactful way.

And based on your tactical approach, and Hero's initial test, I'd be making you bookies favourite.

You can do a trial perfectly with 8 managers

So what's required...

To trial it I'd need each person involved to check through this section: https://www.606v2.com/f242-formation-options and choose one and then apply it to your team with a first XI and subs.

If you then click on that option and you'll see every position has different options, these vary based upon what formation you picked but as an example a Central Midfielder may have:

Attacking Support
a) Balanced Attack (Occasionally make forward runs when the opportunity arises)
b) Stay Back While Attacking (Never make forward runs while on attack)
c) Get Forward (Join the attack and make runs beyond the striker(s))

Support on Crosses
a) Balanced Crossing Runs (Run into the penalty area or stay on the edge in crossing situations)
b) Get into the Box for Crosses (Make runs into the penalty area in crossing situations)
c) Stay on the Edge of Box for Crosses (Stay on edge of penalty area)

Positioning Freedom
a) Stick to Position (Stay in your formation position when attacking)
b) Free Roam (Take a free role and roam the attacking third)

So if my central midfielder is Milinkovic-Savic I'd pick the options of:

Get Forward
Get into the Box for Crosses
Stick to Position

Repeat this with each player.

Then choose an overall tactics option of one of the following from here:

https://www.606v2.com/t59841-tactic-options

Counter, High Pressure, Possession, Long Ball or provide individual scores to each of the options included there.

To finish off add in info of who in your team is in these roles: captain, short free kicks (left and right side), long free kick, penalties, and corners.

An example of how I'd like it look is here: https://www.606v2.com/t59847-example-tactics-sheet

Also you said Yerry Mina was now in Fifa. I'm using Futhead too and he isn't coming up. How will I know his rating etc?

Same thing for Pellegri - hopefully he gets in it soon.

How often do Fifa update new players between games? Sure there are a few that moved in Jan that were in leagues not covered by Fifa (like Mina was)

There's usually an update for player movements after the January window closes, and a ratings refresh .. I assume that is when it was all done

SoFIFA has Mina as an 80 if that helps

There won't be many (if any) more updates now as the season comes to a close, I will get FIFA 19 on day of release but that obviously not out until the tail end of September.

Their fut base card will be their standard rating and their overall will go up and down based on their weekly update.

Any cards your seeing on futhead are TOTW cards which is for Ultimate Team so won't be relevant for this.
