Not a fan of The Boys, I have the comics, but the TV version of Billy Butcher grates so much I stopped watching it.

The invisible Fist.

Always seems to be a problem if you have read the comics first for these things, which I have not. Butcher's cockney accent is pretty awful, but he is played by Karl Urban so swings and roundabouts

Talking of Karl Urban and comic book adaptations I did like Dredd and think it is a shame there was no sequel.

No - not yet anyway. I don't have Disney+ and I hear you are not supposed to use other means to watch these series...

Yep, it was a quality film, Dredd is a tough one, because it relies so much on supporting characters.

TBH so many of the 2000AD comics would make excellent Netflix shows, surprised no one has done Chopper or Rogue Trooper or similar.

I'm currently watching The Sopranos.  It's a light-hearted action series about a group of Italian-American superheroes and their wives and mistresses and kids who live in New Jersey and get up to all sorts of shenanigans.  There's a little bit of cussing but apart from that it's fun for the whole family.
In one scene an old chap with terminal lung cancer murders his nephew and his nephew's housemate and then crashes his car after a coughing fit and gets himself killed.  I laughed and laughed and laughed.

We have been watching the Wire. Into the last series now, which is probably the weakest but it has been good. If you have not seen it there is a scene in the first series where a dealer is explaining chess to a couple of his guys. It is brilliant.

Recently finished watching all 5 seasons for the second time.  Would put The Wire at the top of the pile when it comes to series/box sets/whatever you like to call them.  Agree with you about the final series being the weakest though it's still good, I think they ended it all at the right time.

WandaVision is great, not going to go into all the implied House of M, Mephisto nods,  but as a standalone show it is really enjoyable.

When my children were younger we went to a couple of 'live and deadly' roadshows. Steve Backshall is the real deal. The co host (Naomi Wilkinson?) wasn't.

We love Steve Backshall in the Windows family. We went to see him at a zoo once for some reptile and bird of prey show. One of my daughters got star struck when he chose her to ask a question. He asked her what her name was and she replied -  "Steve Backshall".

Apparently Holbrook died a week ago, so if the was the case I can only imagine members of PJ's family were still pretending to write as him after his death.

You can say that again.

Tino, I have an arachnid question. I found another large spider inside the front door yesterday. We've had some heavy rain so maybe it was looking for a safe refuge. I noticed it only had 6 legs... do they just drop off through injury or is it possible they eat them when food is scarce?

Anyway, this one was easily ushered out through the head of the front door. Last saw it very well camouflaged on the brickwork not far from the door light and motion sensor. Hopefully it can nourish itself with insects attracted to the light.
