Do you guys know much about the touted prospect Jonny Green at Quins? Apparently another one who's always wanted to represent Wales .

He's 18 and played 3 PRC games. He's already been in the Wales under 20 squad so that will probably continue. His mother is Welsh and by the sounds of it convinced him to also support Wales.

Let's not forget backrow where England is pretty helpful.
English developed Welsh XV
1. Wainwright
2.
3. Francis
4. Rowlands
5. Jenkins
6. Tshiunza
7. Reffell
8. Moriarty
9.
10. Costelow
11. Adams
12. Williams
13. Tompkins
14. Rees-Zammit
15. Holmes
Just missing a hooker and a scrum half.

Tshiunza and Fisilau lining up in a very youthful back row for Exeter this weekend. Very interesting to see how they get against a saracens side a little light there after Earl and McFarland are out of the 15.

Seeing Simpson retiring makes me feel old! I remember watching him as a young buck at age grade (think he might have been bald even back then!)

Big crowd in, I reckon they want to see some decent play, not this stop start stop-start-forever-to-get-the-ball-in style of a game.

No, But he pulled the scrum half in right in front of the ref, he isn't the sharpest knife in the draw...
Good try from Sale though.

Apparently it went backwards, I am at a loss how Clare Hodnett retains her position. Thankfully Carley isn't blind and corrected her.
I am bemused at how neither HIA was reviewed though, I thought that it was mandatory to do that?

Pollard with the intercept, but he seemed like he was running through glue. Curious conversion attempt too.
Still, makes the game more interesting.

Re: Prem Round 12
How on earth are Sale allowed to stand a man right in front of the scrum half at the ruck? Warr has twice used him to allow him to avoid being tackled let alone allowing him to box kick with no chance of chargedown. The player is in front of the ball and offside blocking a legitimate challenge.

Sale are trying too hard now. Tryng to force passes rather than retain simple possession.

But he ain't the reason Tigers are down by 25 points (at the 76:00 mark). This is a performance reminescent of a few years ago. I'm sure they will put this behind them.Heaf wrote:formerly known as Sam wrote:How did Carley miss that one? Belongs in the NFL.

Ouch, bit of a beating for Leicester.
Sale seem like a team that when they have you where they want you, they will beat the life out of you.
Will be interesting to see if Ford and Quirke can take them to the next level...

True - but never said he was - Tigers have been poor and probably should have taken the points from their early pressure, but to be fair they've also been very unlucky with injuries during the match which have played havoc with their structures ...

Nah, a few years ago that would have been 60 odd points without the injuries. Defence wasn't bad today but as soon as the backline became that make shift and we effectively played with 7 forwards, what with the Kiwi bricky, then it wasn't going to be our day.
Going to have to be a reshuffle for Falcons next weekend. Does really highlight how badly we need an attack coach with some vision. We were dreadful ball in hand.

Re: Prem Round 12
No question Tigers had an uphill battle. It's hard to lose good players and still play well. Certainly losing Pollard is tough - he really looked hurt when he was running in that interception. Playing Youngs and van Poortvliet at the same time against a team like Sale was never going to work.Heaf wrote:doctor_grey wrote:But he ain't the reason Tigers are down by 25 points (at the 76:00 mark). However, discounting the two scores in garbage time, it still seemed to me Sale were winning the majority of the collisions and had an edge going forwards throughout.

Re: Prem Round 12
Yep Tigers failed to convert their early pressure turning down multiple kicks at goal and it looked like they were going to lose the forwards battle from early on - then Cracknell went off injured and it all went from bad to worse from there ...

Any word on Pollard's injury? His run for his try was, at least for me, painful to watch. Was he carrying something?

Early doors it looked like we were doing ok with the physical battle. The main difference seemed to be that Sale had a plan B when we hit them back on the basic forward carries. Tigers didn't.
Doc, Pollard was just back from a knee injury that was a reoccurrence of another knee injury. I'm hoping it's not the same injury reoccurring again and it's just some tightening of a hamstring or similar after being out injured a while.

I hope you are right. But, it did look more like a joint than a soft tissue injury like a hamstring or calf. Hope it's nothing more than left over discomfort from his recovery and it goes away quick.formerly known as Sam wrote:Heaf wrote:Yep Tigers failed to convert their early pressure turning down multiple kicks at goal and it looked like they were going to lose the forwards battle from early on - then Cracknell went off injured and it all went from bad to worse from there ...

Yeah it did not look at all comfortable, he really shouldn't have been allowed to take the kick.
Some of the posters on the Tigers offy are unamused by some of the Sale contacts.

This one being an example. There's the Cracknell one as well but unfortunately that's already been removed from Twitter.
