6CWF PRESENTS "FROM THE ASHES"

*The VT opener comes to an end and we go live inside the Birmingham Bowl. “Bring me to life” is roaring through the speakers as tonnes upon tonnes of pyrotechnics explode into the arena sky. The crowd are making a raucous noise as the cameras pan around to show us the layout of the arena.

The traditional stage is back with a rampway that leads down to the aisleway and then onto the ring. The ring ropes are red, black and orange. The aprons are adorned with the “6CWF From The Ashes” logo.

The cameras then pan back to show us another shot of the elaborate stage that has a giant flame burning from a torch across the front of the VIPTron (Think Flames instead of the Smackdown Fist).

We then veer off to RJ and Jeff Thadeus, who are situated at the 6CWF Announce desk to the left hand side of the stage.

RJ: Ladies and gentlemen good evening and welcome to 6CWF From The Ashes….we are live and exclusive on Amazon Prime from the sold our Birmingham Bowl….big time wrestling has returned to the home of 6WF….and this is the first premium live event of our new regime….what a night we have in store for you….I am joined, as ever, by Jeff Thadeus….and, Jeff, tell me how excited you are for tonight?

JT: How do you even begin to put that into words? Good evening everyone and welcome to From The Ashes….we have six matches signed….three championship bouts…..Submission Rules, Time Attack….tonight we crown not one but two world champions…..I can barely contain my excitement…

RJ: I’m with you, big guy…..we are literally rising from the ashes here tonight and the clamour and excitements levels for this event are through the roof…..15,000 strong inside the Birmingham Bowl…

JT: We have Henry and Harold Lloyd at the Social Media Desk….we have our Spanish and Japanese colleagues at ringside also….they’re ready….we are ready….the fans are ready….I say we get this show on the road…

RJ: I like the sound of that….

“Here comes the Boom” suddenly bursts through the speakers and every single fan inside the Birmingham Bowl rises to their feet, the roar deafening, as JJ Johnson comes walking out onto the stage. He walks from one side to the other, working the crowd, and he nods his head before beating his chest in appreciation of the fans’ support.

JT: I wasn’t expecting our leader to be kicking of tonight’s show but the 6CWF crowd are loving it….JJ Johnson is live at From the Ashes…

RJ: We knew JJ was here and we all know that he has things that need to be addressed here….

JT: It was reported last week that JJ and Brandi would be returning to our screens tonight in order to address everything that has been happening with Clarke James….

RJ: But what is JJ going to do?

JT: JJ wants proof that Clarke James is behind the attacks on Rock V2 and Tyson Armstrong….we all know it was CJ, he has as good as admitted it….but without proof JJ can’t act….he can’t make decisions on hearsay and conjecture…

*JJ is up in the ring and he whips off his suit jacket and throws it aside as he takes a microphone from Michael Bird. They share a joke before JJ asks for the music to be cut…

Crowd: JJ! JJ! JJ! JJ! JJ! JJ!

JT: It’s all love here tonight for JJ Johnson…

JJ: B-MAN!

*Crowd pop

JJ: Man oh man….words can’t even do justice to how good it feels to be back in front of y’all….

Crowd: Welcome back x10

JJ: And you know it’s nothing but love from me to y’all…..and y’all know or at least you should just how grateful and thankful I am for all the support, getting behind this venture….making 6CWF a success…..

Crowd: JJ! JJ! JJ! JJ! JJ! JJ!

JJ: But as much as I’d love to stand out here all night with y’all….I don’t wanna be that guy who be holding up the show….I know y’all came to see some action…

*Huge roars from the audience

JJ: So I’m out here to keep it sweet and take care o’ business…..the whole world knows why I be here….I don’t think we need to waste our time and drag it out…

Clarke James…

*Huge boos

JJ: I know yo a55 is here in the building…..now Clarke, once upon a time I saw you like my brother….you broke bread with my family….you were my family….but all o’ sudden dog you a different animal….you rabid….you wildin’…

Now as of right this minute they say we ain’t got no proof to pin down what you did to Rocky and Tyse…..I mean heck we all know, I don’t wanna believe it but we know…

Unfortunately this ain’t like the old days were this just gets settled with an a55 whooping….because now we gotta do the whole corporate thing….and in order to sanction punishments, I need cast iron proof…...now you good at running yo mouth but I notice you been real smart about keeping it shut ever since you heard bout these punishments….

So now we done gotta play these games….and I’ve asked my associates to find me proof….put proof in my hands and I will sort this out….point blank, close range….but without it, legal hand tie bull (beep)…

*Crowd boo

JJ: I hear ya….I do….Rocky and Tyse are my boys…..and a drive by on them is a drive by on me….but it can’t be personal….as much as CJ want it that way, as much as I know he warned me from day one that he was coming….

But JJ Johnson, unfortunately, he gotta think like a suit….I gotta make big boy decisions….I gotta dance to the tune….

That ain’t making me real popular at home right now, know what I’m saying….but that’s how it be….

*Suddenly all eyes turn to the stage as Acer comes walking out. He is quick into the ring and starts whispering in JJ’s ear

JJ: I hear you homie, I know you think I don’t but I do….Ace, Rocky and Tyse are yo brothers too…..and I know what you want right now is to rip Clarke James limb from limb, I feel ya….I get that, I do playa…..

*JJ turns to the crowd

JJ: I want everyone to know….so last week Acer called me up….says Drake got my proof….Drake talked to a security guard at the event who witnessed the attacks, saw it all….I said great, I’m flying over...I hear that in person and we golden….I get here, the security guard has vanished….he gone….he Houdini’d this (beep)….gone without a trace….

I ain’t casting no aspersions on Drake, no aspersions on my man Acer….but I need that proof….now I’ve got nothing…..everyone looking at me to make a decision but I can’t…

*The boos are suddenly venomous as “Blind Faith” echoes out of the speakers and Clarke James saunters out onto the stage, looking bored. Acer makes for the ropes but JJ holds him back.

CJ: Well isn’t this nice…

Crowd: A55hole x10

CJ: You know it’s a real shame that security guard “disappeared”…..I’m as desperate as anyone to know what sick, twisted individual attacked poor Rock V2 and Tyson Armstrong…

Acer: Son of a….

*JJ continues to hold Acer back as CJ looks brighter nowadays

CJ: And I really do wish I could be of more help JJ, especially after that touching speech about me being “family”…..don’t appreciate you reminding me of the god awful weekends spent with your skank wife and insolent children though….

*Acer looks on the verge of a meltdown but JJ remains calm

CJ: I really do wish there was some way we could all get to bottom of this….you know, justice for the fallen….and the guilty party could be held accountable….but alas…

*CJ is smirking now

CJ: I just wanted to come out here and offer my condolences and I do hope you will pass on my best to both of them when you next see them….but now you’ll have to forgive me, I have a lot of preparation to do….I don’t know if you’re aware but tonight I will be competing for and winning back MY 6CW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP!

*More boos

CJ: So I wish you all the luck in finding this heinous criminal and I do so look forward to them being brought in line but if you’ll excuse me…

Acer: You piece of (beep)…..we know it was you….

*CJ looks mock outraged and then laughs as JJ has to pull Acer back from the ropes again. Suddenly “Numb” echoes out and there is genuine surprise as Alex Walker walks onto the stage. Walker looks at CJ and then down toward JJ and Acer. He shakes his head at James before walking down the ramp.

Walker: Apologies for the interruption JJ….I know you wanted the floor to sort this out but this really couldn’t wait…

RJ: What is Walker talking about?

Walker: We all want the same thing here, and that is the guilty party brought to justice…..the security guard still hasn’t turned up but we have something better…

*JJ raises and eyebrow

Walker: I don’t think you’ll quite believe this but it seems someone used the missing guard’s keycard to access the production truck….Drake was just down there and the guys said a video tape had been left on David’s desk….

JT: What the hell is going on here?

Walker: I only caught a brief glimpse before I brought it straight out here so you could see…..

*Clarke James’ expression has turned colder as Walker motions for someone in the back to play the recording.

RJ: What are we watching here?

*The video then documents two very brutal attacks on Rock V2 and Tyson Armstrong. Both clips show the men being beaten savagely and left in a pool of blood. It has clearly been filmed by a camera set up manually.

JJ: This ain’t our cameras?

Walker: No….all will become apparent in a second…

*The video has been manipulated so that both clips run simultaneously before a hooded figure, wearing a ghoulish mask rises from the crime scene in front of the camera. They then take hold of the camera and hold it in their hands. There is a few moments of heavy breathing before the mask is removed and the smiling face of Clarke James is revealed!

JT: That sick (beep)…..he filmed it himself….

RJ: This is beyond reproach….Clarke James really is the personification of evil…

JT: Has has actually basked in his own misdeeds….this man is unbelievable…

*JJ Johnson’s eyes have narrowed whilst Acer looks apoplectic. Alex Walker looks grave

Walker: I’m sorry you had to watch that….I just thought you should see the truth….

Acer: JJ….mate, seriously…...you wanted proof and you’ve got it…..he’s a (beeping) psycho….he needs putting down, rip up the damn contract….you can’t seriously be thinking of letting him actually compete tonight…

*Clarke James has a malevolent look on his face as he stares down at the ring

CJ: Ooops….I guess that really is “red handed”….

RJ: JJ Johnson wanted proof and now he’s got it….what does he do now? What action does he take?

JT; Surely decisive action….Clarke James needs to be dealt with…

*Acer is still speaking in JJ’s ear and then Johnson holds up a hand to him before raising the microphone.

JJ: I didn’t wanna believe it but there you….you did my boys like that huh?

*CJ shrugs, mockingly apologetically

JJ: Best believe we gone sort this out….I suggest you take yo sorry a55 to the back, Clarke…

*Acer is looking at JJ, nonplussed

JJ: I got my people to consult but best believe I’m gone be in touch so sit tight….this (beep) far from done…

RJ: What an opening to this show….I can’t believe it….JJ Johnson has proof now that Clarke James was the man behind the attacks on Tyson Armstrong and Rock V2….what action does he take?

JT: Is the main event still on?

RJ: That remains to be seen…

*Acer is continuing to talk to JJ as security come out onto the stage in droves to surround Clarke James. He looks mildly amused as he mockingly holds his arms, as though handcuffed, and then follows the guards to the backstage area.

Acer: This needs dealing with now, JJ….he needs finishing…

JJ: We gone sort it….all of us….in the back….let’s go…

*Acer still doesn’t look happy as he follows JJ from the ring. Alex Walker strides behind them as all three disappear backstage.

RJ: An eventful start to a huge night of action…

JT: And we’ve yet to even have a match...but don’t go anywhere folks because after this advert we have 6WF gold on the line

*Backstage and we get shots of Tyler Roth and Marty Helms arriving earlier in the day

RJ: Ladies and gentlemen we are just moments away from our first match of the evening and it does not get much bigger than this….we are kicking off with 6WF World Heavyweight gold on the line….

JT: This is how you start a show….both Marty Helms and Tyler Roth arrived early today….they’ve both been training, they’ve both done their media duties...here is just a little bit of what both had to say…

*We get a shot of Marty Helms talking with Jeff Thadeus

Helms: At From the Ashes, I will become the mountain all others have to climb to matter. But, to be who I am, I gotta be the pebble to be that mountain. He might have thought about that climb his whole life, but he never thought about the journey, just the end. I make every step hurt, I make you fall before the edge of that precipice. You don’t make the peak; I am the peak. For me to be the greatest, I’m the pebble that breaks ‘em and the mountain they fall down.

There is nothing I won’t do to move what’s blocking my path. You’ve seen desperate men in this company, you’ve seen despicable men, you’ve seen ‘em violent, cruel, arrogant and powerful. And none of them, not one of them, did it like me. Either they were clowns or clerics, they were fools or followers.

I’m about to become the 6WF champion because I’m better than anyone else. I’m about to become the first relevant 6WF champion in more than a decade, probably ever. And I won’t give a single f*** about it, because I’m the kind of champion who makes the belt, not one of those desperate souls who needs a title to justify their existence. I want it cos these fans don’t want it, I want it cos then it stops any other f***er climbing that mountain.

*The scene then changes to Tyler Roth’s interview with Timothy Allen

Roth: I know Marty Helms is tough, like I've said, and I'll even go on record to say that this may be one of the toughest fights I've had....but so what? Bader was tough, Fedor was tough, Bhullar was supposed to be a boogeyman and each and everyone of them got crushed by my hand....I stained the canvass with their blood and tomorrow night at From the Ashes I will do exactly the same to Marty Helms...

Call it a prediction, a spoiler....I don't really care....Marty Helms will bleed tomorrow night and he will break, just like everyone else.....any battle, any war he has ever had before this is nothing compared to what he is about suffer...

TA: So is that your prediction?

Roth: I think I've made it clear but words and talking aren't really my thing....my actions will back up any claim I have made tomorrow night when there is just me and Helms inside the ring....then he can insult some more greats and whine about how he has no friends all the while whilst I'm punching his face in and shattering his dwindling hopes of ever being a world champion....

Marty Helms is the "Last Outlaw"...."The Monster Slayer"....and I can't wait to see that in all of its glory....because there is one monster that nobody can beat, nobody can run from, nobody can hide...

The Reaper waits for no man!

RJ: These two men are hyped….two of the biggest and baddest in professional wrestling are about to collide for world championship gold…

JT: And it’s coming right up….I cannot wait!

*Michael Bird, looking as dapper as ever in a white cotton shirt and beige pants, climbs into the ring acnd receives a huge roar from the crowd

JT: Michael Bird looking as fresh as ever….

RJ: One of the suavest men I know….and the best announcer in the business…

JT: No doubts on that one…

Michael Bird: Ladies and gentlemen the following contest is scheduled for one fall, with a sixty minute time limit…..and it is for the 6WF WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP!

JT: The crowd like the sound of that…..not many better ways to kick off a premium event…..world title on the line….how you feeling, RJ?

RJ: It’s been some years since I called a 6WF Championship match, this is a momentous occasion for me...I know there has been a few championship matches in other companies over the last few years but this is the true 6WF Championship and it has been held by some of the greats in this business….tonight a new name gets added to that list…

*The lights in the arena switch off as the sound of a night-stick being dragged along bars can be heard. Sirens fill the air…

Voiceover: Warning…..we have an escapee…..the suspect is described as extremely aggressive and volatile…..most wanted list number….one…..we are dealing with the Last Outlaw….

*More sirens fill the air before they completely shut off. “Remedy” by Seether then booms through the airwaves as the fans in attendance rise to their feet…

Michael Bird: Introducing first…..weighing in at 280 pounds…...The Monster Slayer….The Lassssttt Outllaaawwww…...Maaaarrrrtty Heeellllmmmmmssss!

JT: It is almost amazing to me that we have made it to 2023 and Marty Helms still has not reigned as a world champion….this man has been one of the most formidable performers in the game for nearly a decade now….

RJ: Especially so from around 2018 onwards…..Helms has cut a destructive path, his list of victims is endless….but still he does not have a world title to his name…

JT: One of the greatest 6CW TV Champions ever, he had a cup of coffee with the 6CW World Championship but it was never ratified….this man went to hell with Cerberus and came back to tell the story….Marty Helms is unbeaten since 6CWF returned last month and tonight he hopes to cap that off by finally reaching the summit and calling himself world champion….

RJ: And he’s more than capable of….

*The lights come back up and Helms is standing on the stage, soaking up the boos of the crowd. There are some cheers here and there but Helms only has eyes for the ring, marching his way down the ramp and across the aisleway. We then get our first shot of the 6WF Championship belt that has been placed on a golden plinth in front of the Social Media announce table…

RJ: There she is, looking as beautiful as ever….I was there the night EZ Money won that championship for the first time...I do truly believe these two men tonight are worthy to carry on the heritage and prestige of that championship belt…

JT: Both undefeated wrecking machines….this has all the makings of a barnburner…

Helms stands at the base of the stage and then he pulls off his t-shirt and throws it to the floor before heading up onto the apron. He climbs through the ropes and begins slapping himself in the face, psyching himself for what is about to come…

JT: But you think Helms is aggressive and you think he’s a wild, untameable, animal then get ready to meet his opponent…

RJ: And opponent who is incredibly pi55ed off that Marty Helms attacked him two weeks ago….

The music then steps before the sound of a heartbeat failing and moving onto the flatline can be heard…..

Voiceover: The Reaper has arrived….

There is a huge blast of pyrotechnics before “Riot” screams out of the speakers and the crowd in attendance rise to their feet in unison to greet the second challenger…

Michael Bird: And his opponent….hailing from Las Vegas, Nevada…..weighing in 300 pounds…..The Grim Reaper himself…..Tyyyyylllleeeerrrr Rroooootttthhhhh!

JT: Is this the baddest man alive today?

RJ: His resume suggests so….former Bellator Heavyweight Champion, ONE Heavyweight Champion, PFL Season 2 winner….former IWGP World Champion, G1 Climax Winner…..I can go on and on…..Tyler Roth has had one of the most decorated combat sports careers in history…

JT: But he has never been 6WF or 6CW World Champion and he openly admits that he will never be happy until he can add those accolades to his CV…

RJ: And tonight could be his night….Roth combines unreal power with unbelievable athleticism and speed for a big man…..in order to beat him you have to produce something out of this world…

Shadows pass over the front of the stage before the giant form of Tyler Roth appears on the stage, a mask over his head like an old school Executioner with a scythe in his hands…

JT: Tyler Roth said Marty Helms is the “Monster Slayer” but he wants to test that theory tonight because he doesn’t believe he can slay the “Grim Reaper”….

RJ: I don’t know many people that could….but I do know that Roth will try his damndest…..nobody gave him a hope against Cerberus but he locked him away and set him on fire for good measure…..Rith is intimidating for sure but I’m not sure Marty Helms has any fear of anything or anyone….

Roth reaches the bottom of the stage and he removes his hood before placing the scythe next to the ringpost. He climbs up the steel steps, his eyes locked on Marty Helms, before grabbing the top rope and vaulting over the top to join his opponent inside…

JT: Twice in the last month these two men have teamed together….they have also been ringside when the other has competed….they know as much about one another as they are ever going to find out…..the animosity and competitive spirit has grown and grow….

RJ: Do you see it as competitive? I genuinely don’t think these two like one another…..respectful of the other’s abilities? Sure….but I don’t see them becoming friends after this….

JT: Maybe you’re right…..especially since Marty Helms decided to up the ante last time out on Proving Grounds by assaulting Roth in the backstage area…..you just know that will be on Roth’s mind….

RJ: Of course….I expect receipts tonight….

The referee, who is dwarfed by the competitors, steps between the two men and runs down his final instructions. He gets both men to agree to follow his command and then he turns away to signal for the bell….Roth and Helms’ eyes are locked on one another as they back to their corners….

JT: Tyler Roth has stood across cages and rings from some of the most dangerous men in the history of combat sports…..but he has never faced Marty Helms….this may be the hardest fight of his life…

RJ: Roth hinted at that himself in the buildup….he knows how much this means to Marty Helms, he knows what to expect tonight…

JT: Then I think it’s time we got this started…..6CWF From the Ashes kicking off with a 6WF World Heavyweight Championship match…..Marty Helms or Tyler Roth? Who leaves with the gold?

The bell sounds and there is a roar around the Birmingham Bowl. Roth and Helms both step forward and they are sizing one another up…

JT: What are we expecting here, RJ?

RJ: Two Goliaths in there….I don’t expect any feeling out process….this is going to be a fight to the finish, plain and simple…

Both men circle, their arms outstretched, before Roth bursts forward and he lifts Helms up off the floor with an incredible double leg takedown. Roth is immediately on top of his opponent and is crashing down destructive blows…

JT: Tyler Roth thrives in this environment….he is a trained combat warrior….

RJ: The way he moves for a big man is incredible….Helms didn’t even have time to set his feet…

Roth is using his left hand to pin Helms’ head to the mat whilst he drives down with thunderous right forearms and elbows. On the third occasion of doing so he makes clean contact with the nose of Marty Helms…

JT: I think he just shattered Helms’ nose….my god would you look at that blood…

Helms’ nose seems to just burst upon impact as Roth continues to fight tooth and nail, driving blows down toward the face and neck. The referee pulls Roth away and signals that he wants the ringside doctor to take a look, which draws huge boos from the crowd…

JT: That is a nasty break….Marty Helms’ nose is obliterated…

RJ: But these fans aren’t happy for the break in play….AND NEITHER IS HELMS!

On the outside of the ring Helms is holding his nose, wiping the blood, as the ringside doctor approaches with a towel. He tries to check on Helms but is subsequently thrown across the floor. Helms uses the white towel to rub his face, smearing it on his features, and turning the towel red. Tyler Roth leaps from the ring to continue the fight….

JT: You can’t expect Tyler Roth to show any kind of remorse here, usually when he’s locked inside of a cage and he busts open an opponent he is allowed to finish the job and the fight is called off…

Roth approaches Helms but the bloody towel is thrown in his direction. He swats it away but the momentary distraction allows Helms to drive in with his head, catching Roth in the jaw…

RJ: Now Helms is going to show what he’s made of…..the broken nose is not going to deter him from this fight…

Roth is staggered and Helms follows up with solid right hands before he grabs Roth’s arm and whips him toward the steel steps….BOOM!

JT: You want to talk impact, well there you go….these men are not messing around tonight….

Roth’s chest connects with the steel and sends the steps flying across the ringside floor. Marty Helms quickly follows and he drags Roth up before smashing his head against all three announce tables before launching him back into the ring. Helms, still bleeding from the nose, rolls in and he screams at Roth to get up…

RJ: Helms wasting absolutely no time here tonight….he wants this finished...BLOODTHIRSTER!

Helms runs forward and he throws all of his bodyweight into the punt kick but Tyler Roth leaps into him and lifts him off the deck before spinning him into an incredible black hole slam….

JT: That power was insane….Tyler Roth has to be the strongest man on the roster….he just lifted 280lbs like nothing…

Marty Helms staggers up in the corner as Roth thunders into him with a clothesline and then follows up ten more simultaneously as the crowd count along with each blow. Roth then launches Helms through the air to the centre with a Biel throw…

RJ: How daunting a prospect is this for anyone? Helms is one of the baddest men in the world and he is being manhandled here…

Helms clutches the bottom of his back as he stumbles up and Roth rips through the air with an attempted brogue kick but Helms dodges it and runs off the ropes…

JT: SPEAR….HE GOT HIM!

………..Roth throws his shoulder off the mat but quickly rolls away under the bottom rope, holding his ribs…

RJ: Roth kicked out but that did some damage to the midsection….what a thunderous shot from Marty Helms…

Helms is in no mood to wait so he climbs out onto the apron and he runs across before diving off with a flying knee that lands into the side of Roth as he is leaning up against the ringside barrier. Helms lifts Roth up and drops him across the barrier, further extending the pain to his body…

JT: Helms believes he has a target now and you can bet he’ll continue to go at it….

RJ: As long as he doesn’t begin to telegraph himself….

Roth stumbles away and Helms grabs him again and smashes his head against the top of the steel steps. Roth further stumbles around toward the timekeeper’s area as Helms breaks into another sprint….

JT: HE’S GONNA SPEAR HIM AGAIN!

*Crowd pop

RJ: DEAR LORD…..WHAT ARE WE WATCHING?

Crowd: Holy (beep) x10

Marty Helms is in full sprint and dives for the spear, only to end up in the arms of Tyler Roth. Roth lets out a roar before launching Helms in a fall away throw right through the ringside barrier…

JT: I don’t think I have ever seen a world title match start with a pace like this…

RJ: I was expecting a war here but I don’t think anyone was expecting this…

Tyler Roth sits for a minute,his chest heaving, as the referee checks on Marty Helms in the wreckage. Roth then gets up and he grabs Helms and drags him back to his feet before throwing him into the ring. Helms is at sixes and sevens as he tries to stand and Roth perches on the apron and waits…

JT: SLINGSHOT OH MY!

Roth catapults himself over the ropes, lands on his feet, and twists into an incredible discus clothesline that almost takes Helms’ head off…

RJ: NEW CH-NO!…..Marty Helms has a goddamn busted nose, his body has to be wracked in pain but he’s fighting on...this is how much being world champion means to him….

JT: Means to them both….they are literally just throwing the kitchen sink at each other…

Tyler Roth stands and he sucks in a deep breath whilst he waits for Helms to start rising. He then grabs Helms and pulls him into position…

RJ: Roth thinking “Hangman” here….

Roth lifts Helms up into the cradle position for the “Shellshock” but Helms scurries and fights until he is able to drop off back. He shoves Roth into the ropes and looks for a big boot on the comeback but Roth catches his foot and slams it down before scooping him onto his shoulders…

JT: REALITY…

Helms drives his elbow into the jaw of Roth seven or eight times before he is able to pull himself free. He then shoves Roth off the ropes and this time he spins him into a huge double A spinebuster….Helms staggers up and he wills Roth to get on his knees before he sprints off the ropes…

RJ: BLADE OF THE RUINED KING….HE GOT ALL OF IT!

JT: I’m lost for words here right now…..

RJ: Join the crew…..I mean this is insane….Tyler Roth just kicked out of that ferocious knee to the back of the head….the same knee that left him in a heap at the last Proving Grounds…

JT: Both men showing their ability and willingness to go the extra mile tonight….they know what is at stake…

Helms, his face covered in blood, stares at the referee for a minute and slaps his hands three times but the official indicates two. Helms spits in disgust and then he rises to his feet. He looks down on Roth and begins to trash talk him before he scoops him up and flips him into the air…

RJ: INFINITY EDGE!

Helms prepares for the “lungblower” but Roth drops out front and nails a big European uppercut. He tries to follow up with a discus lariat but Helms ducks underneath it and lands a solid boot to the stomach…

JT: POWER…

Helms looks to flip Roth again into a powerbomb position but Roth swipes his legs and catapults him to the corner. Helms collides with the turnbuckle and staggers back around…

RJ: CAPITAL PUNISHMENT….WE’VE GOT A NEW CHAMPION!

The crowd go wild as Roth lifts Helms into his arms and then swings him into the STO before hooking both legs…

JT: I thought Tyler Roth was ready to realise a dream there but Marty Helms showing incredible resilience once more…

Roth gets on top of Helms again and he begins to punch down at the head and body of his opponent. Helms is trying to cover up and he turns on his front but Roth smashes huge forearms into the back of his opponent’s neck…

RJ: The referee may have to stop this….I know it isn’t MMA but Helms is not fighting back….he’s taking a beating…

JT: The official is right there, I’m sure he will call it if he sees fit…

Helms is trying to squirm and wiggle his way free before rolling onto his back again. His whole face is covered in blood again from his nose but he manages to drive upward with his thumb into Roth’s eyes…

RJ: Dirty tactics from Marty Helms there but with a world title on the line, you can’t expect anything else…

Roth draws away, blinking wildly, as Helms is able to get back up to his feet. He runs forward for another spear but Roth sidesteps and sends him against the turnbuckle before grabbing hold….

JT: THE REAPING!

Roth looks for the back suplex/powerbomb combo but Helms flips out onto his feet and lands a big time headbutt as Roth turns around. He then bursts off the ropes and returns with a huge big boot to Roth’s jaw that drops him. Helms, blood dripping from his chin, then grabs Roth by the head….

RJ: INFINITY EDGE…..HE NAILED IT…

JT: WHAT?!?

RJ: Are we really witnessing this? Marty Helms has emptied the chamber….he’s gone to the well….he has literally thrown it all at Tyler Roth but he cannot finish him…

JT: The Monster Slayer may have finally met his match…...they say it’s impossible to kill The Grim Reaper and I think that may be true…

Marty Helms is on his knees, blinking uncertainly, as the referee holds up two fingers. Helms looks furious as he gets back up to his and backs into the corner. He pulls at his own head and licks his lips before wiping more blood from his nose, his arms stained red. He urges Roth to stand up and then runs at him….

RJ: He’s gonna kick Roth’s head off….BLOODTHIRSTER!

JT: WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT!

Roth suddenly rises to his fullest and with one hand he lifts Helms off the floor, using his momentum, and powers him back down into the canvass with a makeshift spinebuster. Roth stumbles to the ropes and he shakes them furiously before turning his attention back on Marty Helms. He picks up and lifts him onto his shoulders….

RJ: THE HANGMAN!

Helms is struggling against Roth’s grip and the two big men stumble toward the ropes, which allows Helms to struggle off and land on the apron. Helms tries to aim a right hand but Roth blocks it and scores with a headbutt of his own…

JT: THAT NOSE JUST WENT AGAIN...OH MY LORD!

Crowd: Holy (beep) x20

RJ: I HAVE NEVER...I MEAN EVER...SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THAT!

Helms rocks from the headbutt and he drops down to a near kneeling position on the apron, holding the middle rope. Roth then catapults himself over the top rope and swivels his body, so that his feet land either side of Helms and delivers a German suplex off the apron to the concrete floor…

RJ: The referee might want to think about ending this….I’m not sure these two men can give or take much more…

JT: Tell that to Tyler Roth…..he ain’t done….

Roth stands and he begins throwing all the coverings off the announce tables, dissecting all three. He then grabs Marty Helms, who looks barely conscious, and slams his head off the Social Media table, leaving him draped there. Roth then climbs up on the table and he pulls Helms up…

RJ: I don’t know what Tyler Roth is thinking here but it can’t be good…..Marty Helms looks out on his feet…

JT: Tyler Roth is a man with seriously bad intentions…...CAN THIS GET ANY MORE CHAOTIC!

The noise goes through the roof and beyond as Roth scoops Helms up on his shoulders. He then runs across the Social Media and Spanish announce desks before leaping into the air and crashes himself and Helms through the Japanese table with a thunderous “Shellshock”….

JT: TYLER ROTH JUST DELIVERED “THE HANGMAN” THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE DESK…

RJ: You know I sat in this very building every week for 6WF television and yet that is one of the most brutal things I ever saw…..Tyler Roth has just destroyed Marty Helms…

JT: He promised Helms a fight like never before….he promised him he was unlike any opponent he had ever faced and he damn sure wasn’t lying…

RJ: I’m just glad our table is up here on the stage, that could have been us….

Tyler Roth is hurting but is sat up in the wreckage of the table whilst the cameras show that Marty Helms is unmoving amidst the debris. Roth has a stern expression on his face as he talks to the camera…

Roth: There’s a reason I’m the baddest….these fools wanna play tough but this is where you find out…..stepping in with me is the proving grounds….

JT: Tyler Roth’s confidence is through the roof….

RJ: Is it any wonder? The crowd are behind him, he’s got Helms busted up and with a broken nose….I’d say Roth is moments away from adding the 6WF Heavyweight Championship to his incredible collection of accolades…

Roth gets to his feet and he stares down at Helms, who is trying to rise, and then he bends down and amazingly scoops him up in his arms…

JT: Incredible…..even after everything Roth has been through in this match, all the punishment, and he can still pick up a near 300lb man and walk him to the ring….that is unreal…

Roth gets Helms to the ring apron and he rolls him under the bottom rope before following him. Helms is still not offering any resistance as Roth makes the cover…

RJ: This is it..

JT: I didn’t expect that kind of mistake from Tyler Roth at the eleventh hour….he let Helms get the ropes…

RJ: Huge oversight on the part of Tyler Roth….he will hope he doesn’t regret that…

JT: I’d still say he is in prime position to end this and win the world title…

Roth stands and he lets out a sigh before watching Helms trying to get back up. He positions himself behind Helms and then hooks his arms…

RJ: Roth looking for a full nelson here, he’s gonna try and put Helms out….

JT: He’s gonna squeeze whatever life is left…..NOW CMON!

The referee is knelt down and trying to communicate with Helms when suddenly Roth releases the hold and staggers away. The crowd with the best view are booing furiously…

RJ: We can see the replays on our monitor and that was a blatant low blow from Marty Helms….that should have been a disqualification…

JT: This referee has been incredibly lenient….he may have let it go….

The referee looks confused as Helms drops to his knees and tries to regain some of his composure. Roth is leant over in the corner, grimacing in pain, but he still has more gas in the tank than his opponent and is first on the attack….he shouts Helms up, looking angry, and then ploughs toward him with a brogue kick…

RJ: SAMOAN DROP….HELMS SAW HIM COMING!

Helms ducks under the kick at the final second and he scoops Roth up before drilling him in the centre of the ring. Helms crawls to the corner and he pulls himself up…

JT: You don’t often see Helms take this kind of risk but if ever there was a night….

RJ: You have to go above and beyond to become world champion…..JUST LIKE THAT!

Flashbulbs go off as Helms hurtles through the air and thunders his head down into the heart of Tyler Roth. Helms staggers back up to his feet as Roth rolls over onto his knees…

JT: BLADE OF THE RUINED KING….SECOND TIME LUCKY!

The demolition ball knee lands against the back of Tyler Roth’s head again and leaves him flat on the canvass. Helms rolls him over….

JT: TYLER ROTH IS NOT HUMAN….HE CAN’T BE…

Marty Helms looks like he has blood, snot, sweat and tears all congealed on his face as he looks up at the referee in disbelief. The official is indicating that Roth got his shoulder up and the instant replays back that up…

RJ: I just don’t believe it….twice Helms has hit Roth with that knee….he’s put so many men out clean with that move…

JT: But Tyler Roth is more than just a man…..this is the Reaper….and he will not be conquered…

Helms is up on his feet and he grabs the front of the referee’s shirt, pleading with him, but the official pulls himself free and warns Helms for his conduct. Helms turns away and back toward Roth, who is on all fours…

Helms: Just stay down you sorry son of a b1tch….stay down…..

RJ: Marty Helms is beside himself here….he is desperate to be world champion and he has hit Roth with everything….nothing seems enough…

JT: He’s just gonna have to keep hitting him and hoping something sticks….

RJ: He’s setting him up again…..INFINITY EDGE!

Helms grabs Roth by the head and flips him into the air for the “lungblower” but Roth drops out front and he pushes Helms in the chest, sending him against the ropes, and then pops him up into a big time European uppercut as he lands. Helms falls back into the ropes again and Roth spins him into a powerslam on the comeback. Helms staggers up as Roth springboards onto the ropes and detonates a big knee under the chin of his foe…

JT: Helms’ whole head shook from that impact….

Helms staggers away and collapses in the corner, blood leaking freely from his nose once again. Tyler Roth points to his scythe on the outside as a pre-cursor that the end is nigh….

RJ: Time for The Reaper to claim his soul…

Roth heads over and grabs Helms but eats a big time elbow to the jaw. Helms nails two more big elbows that send Roth staggering back….Roth seems angered more than hurt as he bulldozes into the corner again and grabs Helms’ hair….

JT: HE PULLED THE COVER OFF THE TURNBUCKLE….

Helms suddenly pulls Roth in towards him and Roth’s face smashes clean into the solid steel of the ringpost. Helms stumbles away and then kicks Roth in the stomach as he comes around…

RJ: INFINITY EDGE!

The “lungblower” lands and sends spray flying from Roth’s mouth as Helms’ knees drive up into his spine. Roth rolls over onto his knees as Helms claws his way up…

JT: BLADE OF THE RUINED KING….IS THIS HAPPENING?!?

The flying knee lands to the back of Roth’s skull again and leaves him heaped. The fans inside the Birmingham Bowl are in shock at what they are watching…..Helms drags his way to the corner and gets up…..his face is a battered mess, bruised and bloody, he screams for Roth to pick his head up off the canvass….

RJ: Helms wants to make sure….he doesn’t trust he’s done enough yet….he knows how tough Tyler Roth is….

JT: But even The Reaper has a limit…….BLOODTHIRSTER!

The deadly running punt connects with Tyler Roth’s skull and leaves him slumped on his back. Marty Helms drops down and hooks the leg, screaming at the referee to count….

Michael Bird: Ladies and gentlemen…..here is your winner…..and NEW 6WF WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION…...Thhhheeee Laaaaaassssstttttt Ooouutttlllllaaawwwww…..Maaaaaarrrrrttttyyyyyy Heeeeeellllllmmmmmmmssss!

RJ: Marty Helms has done it...by hook or by crook….he is the champion of the world…

JT: And he just overcame the biggest, baddest mother(beeper) in the world today…..you can talk about the low blow or the exposed turnbuckle but in order to beat Tyler Roth you have to do the almost impossible….Helms was forced to endure a torrid beating at times but he showed his own toughness, his own resilience….his own desire to be the champion…

RJ: And he’s done it…..The Monster Slayer has slain The Grim Reaper….his most colossal and prize conquest…..Marty Helms, by god, is the 6WF World Champion…..

JT: That’s how you kick of a premium event….you wanted proof that 6CWF means business? Then look no further….these two behemoths just put on a smash mouth, ten minute classic…..ten minutes of non-stop destruction…..I still can’t get over what we have seen…

Marty Helms is on his knees, the whole of the bottom half of his face smeared in blood, as the referee hands him the world championship belt. Helms cradles it in his arms and then raises his head to let out a triumphant roar. He kisses the championship and then gets to his feet. He pounds his chest as he looks down at Tyler Roth before pushing the belt up over his head….there are plenty of boos from the crowd but there is a respectful applause and some cheers for Helms and what he has just achieved. The fans are clearly happy with the match they just witnessed…

RJ: One of the great action fights I have had the privilege of watching….these two emptied the tank tonight, they beat each other senseless….

JT: And Tyler Roth will no doubt look back at the tape and say he feels hard done by….he’ll certainly have a case….and who knows, maybe the 6CWF Board will order a re-match…

RJ: I would love that…..everyone in this arena and I’m sure watching on Amazon Prime would happily watch these two warriors go to war once more….what a battle….what a way to start the night…

JT: If that’s a precursor of what’s to come then buckle up because this is going to be one hell of a night….but for right now, congratulations to Marty Helms….

RJ: It won’t be looked upon fondly by many, the tactics he employed certainly sketchy….but Marty Helms is the 6WF World Heavyweight Champion and nobody can take that from him….

Helms continues to walk around the ring, parading his new championship belt, as Roth rolls from the ring, holding his head. Helms drinks up the emotion as pyros explode all around, celebrating the moment….

*The scene changes to backstage and Brandi Johnson is looking at her husband with disbelieving eyes. JJ is sat at the desk inside his office, Brandi is standing at the side of him.

Brandi: I don’t know what else to say, Jay….

JJ: And you don’t think I know? Y’all acting up here like I don’t know what the hell is going on….like I ain’t controlling the situation…

Brandi: Are you? How exactly because I need some kind of explanation….Walker of all people just gave you as clear of proof as you are ever going to get, you may as well have been there watching the attacks in person….

JJ: I know, I was there….I watched it…

Brandi: So what? What are you going to do about it? He put Rocky and Tyse in the hospital….and he’s laughing about it….laughing at you….this needs to be dealt with…

JJ: And it will be...I said it will and I stick by that…

Brandi: But it needs dealing with now….not later, not tomorrow, not next week…

JJ: So why don’t you tell me what I should do….because it’s clear as hell that you got all the answers…

Brandi: Don’t even try to put this on me….you let that “thing” back in here, you gave him a contract….don’t make me say I done told you so but you know I did….

JJ: So now this is on me, right?

*Brandi tuts and swings her hair

Brandi: I ain’t falling out witchu about this….you know I’ll always have your back...but this needs decisive action….Clarke James cannot be allowed to continue to run amok….you know this….we all know this….

*JJ leans back in his chair and closes his eyes

JJ: This (beep) was so much simpler on the other side of the ropes…

*We get a scene change and Liam Wood is getting ready for his match when Kelsey Callihan’s hand appears on his shoulder. He shrugs her off and looks disgusted by her touch as she giggles

Kelsey: Now, now, little snakey...play nice…

Wood: Why don’t you go and play somewhere else….perhaps in the traffic…

*Kelsey playfully scowls

???: Now looky here….it’s The Viper, Liam Wood…

*Drake Callihan struts into shot as Wood’s demeanour sours even further

Wood: Don’t call me that…

DC: Oh I am sorry there good sir….what would you prefer, Mr EWF? Or how about the man who ruined my creation?

Wood: I think you did a pretty good job of that yourself….

*Drake removes his cowboy hat and he has an arrogant smile on his face

DC: You know, Liam, we could have made a hell of a team...you and I….

Kelsey: And me…

*Kelsey blows Wood a kiss and he looks sickened

DC: Needless to say I am one of the greatest wrestlers in history….

Wood: And oh so humble about it…

DC: Humbleness don’t win accolades son….you know that, your as arrogant as self absorbed as they come...I was the king of Mid-South wrestling….I was the poster boy, I paved the way for your Flairs, Jarretts, Von Erichs….hell I put Mid-South on the map…..and with my tutelage you could have gone even further in your career than you have…

Wood: I don’t need you….I never have….

DC: Maybe, maybe not….but you see I’ve had a lot of time to think about what I achieved in my career and I’m damn proud….but the one stumbling block, the one blot, the one black mark that I just cannot get over is my failure to make EWF the success it should have been….you see you have the gaul to call yourself “Mr EWF” but it is because of you that that company no longer exists….you killed it….you killed my vision…..and I will not rest, boy, until I have returned the favour…

*Wood takes a step closer to Callihan

Wood: Take your best shot, old man…

*Callihan laughs and looks up into Wood’s eyes

DC: Oh cmon now, Liam….we both know I’m no match for you nowadays….you’re in the prime of your life….

*Kelsey blows a big bubble with her bubblegum and laughs as it pops

DC: But just a little, teeny, word of warning….I have a lot of friends...being in the business for as long as I have, you meet a lot of people….and some of those friends owe me some favours….heck some of those friends would bend over backward to put a smile on my face…

And you know what would put a smile on my face, Liam….go on, have a guess?

BINGO!….you got it, seeing you get exactly what you deserve….watching every last thing that you hold dear being taken away from you….just like you did to me….

*Wood’s eyes are narrowed with serious dislike as Callihan puts his hat back and he tips the brim at Wood

DC: But golly don’t let me keep you any longer….I understand you have a big match on the horizon…...good luck….Viper!

*Drake Callihan walks away. Kelsey waves at Wood with an evil smirk on her face before following her father. Liam Wood is left looking angry

*The scene changes once again and Jack Reynolds is looking extremely nervous as he has tracked down Johnny Oko for an interview ahead of Time Attack. Oko is flanked by two of his burlier henchmen.

Reynolds: Ladies and gentlemen I am joined at this time by Johnny Oko…

*Boos from the crowd

Reynolds: Mr Oko...in just a little while from now you will compete in a Time Attack match for the newly restored 6CWF European Championship…..since your return we have seen a much more ruthless side to your in-ring style but this match sees you up against five other men, all bound together by the time limit…..do you have a specific tactic going into this match? How do you plan on pacing yourself over the thirty minutes?

*Reynolds lifts the mic toward Oko but one of the henchmen slaps it away. Reynolds looks worried but Oko holds up a hand to let his guards know it’s ok.

Oko: I have no “tactic”...my preparation, my approach is same….I don't take this challenge lightly. It will be one I shall enjoy participating in, whatever the result. Let us hope the rest of the combatants know what they are getting themselves into.

Reynolds: And what would it mean to you to leave here tonight as a champion of this company?

Oko: Win this match. Lose this match. To Oko the outcome means the same. I will return to my other interests and be just as prosperous as I have become outside these walls. When I say 6CWF means nothing to me, it is not ego but truth. I wish the actors and audience well but I have moved on beyond this theatre. I consider the bouts a satisfying sideshow to what I really want to accomplish.

Reynolds: So what do you want to accomplish? Does this have something to do with Drake? Why do you and he keeping meeting?

*Oko’s eyes narrow now at Reynold’s questioning. Reynold’s looks extremely worried now as one of Oko’s henchmen closes his fist around the microphone. Oko just stares at Reynolds and then walks away. The guard holding the microphone looks at Reynolds with a great deal of dislike and then shoves the mic against his chest as JR wilts against the wall

Daniel Reilly vs ???

JT: Coming up next folks we have former 6CW World Champion, Daniel Reilly in action against a, as of yet, unnamed opponent….there has been plenty of talk on social media, a lot of rumours flying around…

RJ: I heard someone saying it was Hero….that would be a spectacular turn up for the books…

JT: It sure would, especially considering the history that Reilly has with him…

“Broken Dreams” echoes out to big time cheers from the crowd in attendance as Daniel Reilly strides out onto the stage. He holds his arms aloft (ala Randy Orton) as pyros explode behind him…

RJ: Birmingham native, Daniel Reilly….this is a massive homecoming for him…

JT: And he’ll be hoping they can bring him good luck….Reilly is currently 0-3 since joining the 6CWF roster…

RJ: A slump that began with a very controversial loss to GazzyD….had that result not gone against him then Reilly’s trajectory could have been a whole lot different….but be that as it may, it hasn’t and he is still chasing that elusive first win…

JT: We know Reilly is a class act….we know his capabilities, if he can work up some momentum then he could be in a much better position in the coming weeks…

Reilly walks down the aisle and then slides into the ring. He climbs onto the turnbuckle to pose for his fans…

RJ: Another thing against Reilly here tonight, however, is that he has no idea who he is facing….he’s had no time to prepare…

JT: Reilly was adamant he had a match at the pay per view, Diablo obliged him….that’s the nature of the business….Reilly will have to be ready for whatever comes his way…

Reilly drops down off the ropes as “Wake Up” by Rage Against The Machine booms through the speakers. All eyes turn toward the stage...The arena descends into darkness. 'Wake Up' by Rage Against The Machine blasts out over the speakers. The Tron flickers into life with a moving stuttering image of Michelangelo’s ‘The Creation of Adam.’ The artwork begins to reveal itself in full before the image becomes inverted appearing in negative form. The lights begin to strobe occasionally illuminating the darkness.

RJ: Isn’t that…?

JT: I think it is….there has been some transformation but we definitely know this guy…

RJ: I believe we are looking at the formerly known Scorpion here…..ex 6WF Hardcore Champion….

JT: I’ve got Jack Reynolds in my ear with the lowdown….it seems Scorpion is now going by the name “Cassidy” and from what Jack is saying, he has undergone quite the metamorphosis…

RJ: How so?

JT: Apparently Cassidy believes he is the ultimate creation of man….the mould from which we were designed….the perfect specimen…

RJ: I mean he looks in great shape…

JT: He sure does…

Pyros explode and the lights are back up fully as Cassidy stands on the stage with an arrogant smirk across his features. He begins to swagger down the ramp…

RJ: Quite the surprise for us here tonight….I don’t think many had this in their predictions…

JT: Daniel Reilly certainly didn’t…..but he also looks a lot more confident now, as though he’s happy with his mystery opponent…

RJ: I don’t think Reilly can afford to get complacent…..Cassidy was a real problem in 6WF, many believed he had the potential to go all the way…

Cassidy has long light brown hair and a moustache with a goatee. He is dressed in green tights with wraps around his right arm, covering his hand and elbow. He climbs into the ring and stares at Reilly, grinning…

JT: Well Cassidy also looks plenty confident here….this could end up being a tasty battle…

RJ: The fans are up for it….they may have been expecting someone else but they are right behind their kinsman in Reilly and they want to see him victorious…

JT: Reilly versus Cassidy here at From the Ashes….I really don’t know what to tell you to expect folks because I’m as much in the dark as you...

The two men circle one another and Cassidy keeps feinting inside as though he is going to initiate a lockup, whilst grinning at Reilly. Eventually they do tie up and Reilly twists the right arm of his opponent. He snaps the arm down and boots Cassidy in the stomach before Irish whipping him into the corner. Reilly follows in but eats a big time boot to the mouth that staggers him backward. Cassidy lifts himself onto the second rope and leaps off….

RJ: Reilly had that scouted…

The crowd cheer as Reilly jumps into the air and lands a picture perfect dropkick to Cassidy’s face whilst in mid-flight. He drags Cassidy back up and nails a big suplex before rolling over into a pin………………..1……………….2……...shoulder up!

RJ: Cassidy coming in here with a new attitude, a new name….but he’s up against one of the best in history….he’s going to need to produce something more than what we have seen so far…

Reilly grabs Cassidy by the hair and yanks him up but Cassidy lands a solid right hand to the midsection and then pulls Reilly’s head down into a jawbreaker which staggers him back into the ropes. Cassidy gets up and runs at Reilly, only to be backdropped over the top rope onto the apron….

JT: Cassidy holding on here….shoulder, oh my…

RJ: He threw himself right into trouble…

Cassidy attempts to launch through the middle ropes with a shoulder thrust but Reilly catches him and drags him through for an attempted hangman’s DDT. Cassidy steps off the ropes at the final second and then pulls Reilly forward so that his throat collides with the ropes. Reilly is spluttering and holding his neck as Cassidy stomps down on him before posing in front of the booing masses…

RJ: Well nothing has changed in that department, Cassidy was never popular amongst the fans…

He drags Reilly up and prepares for a piledriver but Reilly swipes his feet and then stomps down on his midsection. He catapults Cassidy into the corner, where his head collides with the turnbuckle, and then drops him with an inverted headlock backbreaker (ala Randy Orton)……………..1……………...2………..Cassidy throws his shoulder up again!

RJ: Who needs this win more? The returning Cassidy or Reilly who has yet to win?

JT: I think both men need it….it’s about momentum and a win at a premium event like this can kickstart anyone’s career….

Reilly stands and he listens to the roar of the crowd, egging him on, and then he flops down and begins to stalk Cassidy. He waits for him to rise up and then jumps toward him….

RJ: RK-OH!

Reilly leaps in for the RKO but Cassidy jumps up at the same time and snaps him down with an impressive “zigzag” neckbreaker. Cassidy then drags Reilly back up and connects with a jumping piledriver, really snapping Reilly’s neck upon landing…

JT: That could break a neck or a spine...hellacious impact….

RJ: Cassidy not happy with that but it was clearly a two…

Cassidy stomps down on the back of Reilly’s neck some more before hoisting him up. He slaps Reilly in the face and then looks for an Irish whip but Reilly reverses. Reilly drops his head for a backdrop but Cassidy lands a facebuster (ala Triple H) across his knee. Reilly is sent into the ropes and then comes forward again into a “downwards spiral”……………..1…………...2………...kickout!

JT: Cassidy starting to find his rhythm here….

Cassidy heads toward the corner and begins to climb. He makes it to the top but Reilly is already up and lands a heavy right hand to the jaw. He climbs up onto the ropes and scores with a big European uppercut before dragging Cassidy off the top into a ring-shaking superplex…

RJ: That was huge impact right there and it swings the pendulum back in Reilly’s favour….

Both men are hurting from the impact but Reilly is the first back to his feet. He then grabs Cassidy by the head and flips him up before nailing a fallout neckbreaker………...1

JT: You can sense how much both men want and need this….

Reilly shows his own aggression by stomping down on the arms, wrists, legs and ankles of Cassidy. He pulls him back up and whips him hard into the turnbuckle, Cassidy hitting chest-first, and then drops him with a saito suplex as he stumbles back out. Reilly points to the top rope and the crowd cheer…

RJ: Reilly starting to feel comfortable in there now and that spells trouble for Cassidy….FROGSPLASH!

Reilly propels himself through the air for the aerial attack but Cassidy moves at the final second and sends him crashing into the canvass. Cassidy gets back up and he pulls Reilly up before nailing a snap guillotine suplex, slamming Reilly upside down against the turnbuckle…

JT: Cassidy turning it up here….LIONSAULT!

Cassidy springs off the ropes for the moonsault but Reilly moves at the last moment. Cassidy lands on his feet but wobbles as Reilly gets up and charges toward him…

RJ: Those were fast feet from Cassidy to move out the way there…

Cassidy sidesteps and sends Reilly against the turnbuckle before dragging him out and he lifts him into a twisting fisherman’s neckbreaker…………..1…………...2………..Reilly just gets his shoulder up again!

JT: I have to admit that when Cassidy walked out here, I was a little underwhelmed but boy is he putting on a show…

RJ: This may be the best version of him we have ever seen…

Cassidy beckons Reilly to his feet and then attempts a spinning back elbow strike (Judas Effect) but Reilly catches his arm and spins him around….

JT: RKO!

Cassidy swivels around and counters into a backslide…..1…………..2……..kickout. They scramble back and Reilly looks for a clothesline but Cassidy ducks under and locks his arms around the neck of his opponent before nailing a side-effect neckbreaker….

Cassidy smacks his hand against the mat and complains to the referee but is told it was a definite two. He gets back to his feet and he paces around, waiting for Reilly to rise, before sprinting at him…

JT: SOMERSAULT…

Cassidy looks for a somersault neckbreaker (ala Ace Austin) but Reilly counters with a backdrop. Cassidy gets back up and is spun into a powerslam...Reilly rolls over and heads for the corner again, leaping through the air for the frogsplash…

RJ: That time he nailed it…

JT: That was as close as we have come to a finish but Cassidy fights on…..kid has guts…

It’s Reilly’s turn to question the referee’s count but is told it was a definite two. He looks down at Cassidy, who is struggling on the deck, and then he grabs his ankle…

RJ: Anklelock….Reilly has been to the mountain top with this hold….

Cassidy quickly yells in pain as Reilly twists his ankle at an abnormal angle and really ups the ante. He desperately tries to scramble for the ropes but Reilly drags him back and tries to turn up the pressure…

JT: This could be the end…..a disappointing debut for Cassidy….

Cassidy uses his last chance to throw himself into a forward roll that sends Reilly into the corner. Cassidy scrambles back up as Reilly comes toward him for a clothesline….Cassidy grabs the referee and pulls him in front, causing Reilly to stop dead in his tracks….Cassidy smirks and releases the referee then nails the “Judas Effect” back elbow to the jaw, dropping Reilly in a heap…

RJ: That may have just knocked Reilly out…

JT: He used the referee as a shield…..Reilly had to second guess himself…

RJ: And it opened the door right up….lionsault!

Cassidy springs off the ropes, ignoring the huge boos of the crowd and the warning from the referee, to land the asai moonsault across the prone body of Daniel Reilly. Reilly is holding his midsection as he tries to get up and Cassidy runs in toward him, nailing a somersault neckbreaker (ala Ace Austin)….

JT: What a move!

RJ: He pulled that right out of the top drawer….Birmingham are not going to be happy but this is a wrap….

Cassidy leans on the body of Reilly, facing outward toward the cameras and crowd with an arrogant smirk on his face as the referee counts…

RJ: He pulled the damn referee in front of Reilly….surely that should have been a DQ?

JT: Referee’s call, he didn’t make it…..very questionable tactics but he played the game and won….Cassidy is going to be one to watch I’d wager….

RJ: Strolls in after years in the wilderness and knocks off a former world champion, yeah I’d say we need to keep an eye on this guy…

“Wake up” is playing out and the crowd are booing as Cassidy demands the referee raises his arm in victory. He poses in front of the cameras, pointing at his cut muscles, and then says “There is no God, Just Cassidy”….

JT: This guy really is full of himself…

RJ: He sure is….he’s walked right into Daniel Reilly’s hometown and scored the W on his first night back…..

JT: Whereas Reilly now finds himself 0-4…..what does he do from here?

RJ: Reilly still has class, he showed that in abundance here tonight….but something just isn’t clicking for him right now…..he needs to find that missing piece…

JT: Great back and forth action here at From the Ashes and there is plenty more where that came from so don’t be going anywhere ladies and gentlemen…..Time Attack is coming up next…

*Backstage and Lex Hart is about to be interview by Clarissa. Lex looks fired up and the crowd give a huge cheer as he is introduced.

Clarissa: Lex….first pay per view in 6CWF….Time Attack, a match you know well….European Championship on the line….how are you feeling? Do you feel ready to go out there and win the title?

Lex: I feel great, Clarissa….I feel….

???: Blah, blah blah….

*Boos fill the air as Mike Hill swaggers into shot

Hill: Nobody cares how you feel...nobody cares about what you have to say….Clarissa, is this some kind of joke? Why are you no conducting this interview with Mike Hill?

*Clarissa looks lost for words

Hart: You don’t have to dignify that with a response, Clarissa….we know you have taste…

*The crowd cheer as Hill looks annoyed. He then regains himself with a smirk

Hill: Allow me to regale you with a tale...storytime with Mike Hill if you like….

Hart: Do you have to?

Hill: You see, Clarissa...of course Lex Hart is adored by these fans. They can relate to Lex Hart in a way they would never be able to relate to Mike Hill. Lex Hart could be one of these fans. You see Lex Hart is the definition of mediocrity. A man who has forged a career simply by climbing on the back of more talented or more powerful people. Propped up by the likes of Abe Abercorn, Perfect Jack, Alex Walker, Miss Jessica…the list goes on and on. Lex has never achieved anything of his own volition. A perennial failure in the biggest moments. Someone who constantly flatters to deceive. In fact, someone should probably check Lex’s birthday certificate, with a CV like that he must have been born in Birmingham!

*Huge boos from the hometown audience

Hill: You want to talk about tonight’s match? You want a prediction? You want to know exactly how it will go down? Then listen up and listen good….

It might not be the world title that Mike Hill so desires, that Mike Hill so deserves but it is still a championship, and that is the only recognition Mike Hill cares about. After thirty gruelling minutes, Mike Hill will be announced as the winner, his arm raised, title wrapped around his waist and 5 opponents left strewn across the ring, all sorts of different emotions going through their heads.

But they will be united in one thing. They will pick their heads up off the canvas, look up and see Mike Hill stood triumphant in the middle of the ring, and they will all finally realise that Mike Hill really is that GOD DAMN GOOD!

*Lex rolls his eyes

Hill: See you out there…

*Hill swaggers away with a smile as Lex glares after him, anger in his eyes.

*Scene change and we see Cameron Faith strapping up his wrists for tonight’s Time Attack when Geoff Steel approaches.

Faith: Don’t worry….all sober over here…

*Steel smiles at Faith

Steel: I didn’t come here to preach….look, Cam, we’re friends….that’s why I said what I said last week….

Faith: And you were right….I lost focus, I was on the road to rock bottom once again….but you pulled me round….and then you saved my a55 from that Japanese nutjob...if you hadn’t come out there then he would have snapped my arm in two…

Steel: I did what any friend would have...I’m sure you’d have done the same…

Faith: Regardless, I’m thankful and I appreciate it…

*Faith puts out a fist and Steel bumps it

Faith: But you also made a mistake….

Steel: I did…

Faith: Yeah…

*Faith has a smirk on his face as he looks up from his hand wraps

Faith: You ensured I’m ready for tonight’s match….which, unfortunately means that any hope you had of leaving tonight as champion is gone…

Steel: Oh….that’s how it is huh?

*Steel is smiling

Faith: Nothing personal, pal….but I like to give the people what they want….and they want to see me with championship gold around my waist…

*Faith points at the ceiling as the crowd cheer. Duelling chants of “Let’s go Steel, Cameron Faith” then ring out. Steel turns to Faith with a smile

Steel: Seems we both have support out there….I guess we better put on a show…

Faith: Amen to that…

Steel: And may the best man win…

Faith: Good luck, pal….

Steel: And you!

*The two men shake hands as the scene ends

*We get a shot of Daniel Reilly returning to the backstage area looking extremely sullen and downtrodden after his loss to Cassidy. He boots over a bucket and slams his hands against the wall, clearly furious at suffering another loss. We hear the clicking of heels and whistling. Reilly turns around and sees Kelsey Callihan. She is beaming and tells Reilly “Daddy would like a word”. Reilly looks intrigued as the scene ends.

*Marty Helms walks into the backstage area and he has a bottle of champagne in his hand and the 6WF Championship over his shoulder. Timothy Allen is on hand to talk with the brand new world champion. Helms’ face is still caked in blood and his nose clearly broken.

TA: Marty….the brand new 6WF World Heavyweight Champion….that has to sound good?

Helms: It feels….justified!….It feels deserved….it feels like I (beeping) just kicked Tyler Roth’s head in…

*There are audible boos from the crowd

Helms: Oh boo (beeping) hoo….get over it….Mr I’ve won a bunch of cage matches against old washed up has-beens finally came up against a prime athlete and he got his head smashed in...just like I said he would….The Grim Reaper? Yeah (beeping) right…...beat him down just like I’ve beaten every one of these p******…

And now I’m the (beeping) man….El Champion, look at it and cry yourself to sleep, Allen, because this sight is never going away…

TA: So now that you are finally world champion….what’s next for Marty Helms?

Helms: Whatever the (beep) I want…..they said Roth was the “baddest man on the planet” which is laughable in itself….I beat him, so what chance does anyone else have? If anyone fancies getting punted all round the place then look me up and I’ll gladly oblige….the same way I have been doing for the last five years….

I’m gonna get several more of these bottles….I’m gonna party, I’m gonna celebrate….and then when the time comes...I’ll show the world that the era of Helms is here to stay!

TA: And what about Tyler Roth…..obviously it was a hellacious bout and there are those who think some of your tactics were…

Helms: Were what? (beeping) awesome? This isn’t a tickling competition, Timmy….Roth wanted a fight and I gave him one...it’s not my fault he couldn’t handle the pressure…

TA: There is already huge clamour on social media for the 6CWF Board to sanction a re-match…

Helms: Are you (beeping) kidding me? Who cares what a bunch of desperate virgins on the internet think and want? I’m the 6WF World Heavyweight Champion, not a goddamn charity, and I won’t be handing out title shots to just anyone….

Roth wants another shot at this?

*Helms smacks the 6WF Title belt

Helms: Then he can get his a55 in line and prove he deserves it….

Now Tim…

TA: Yeah?

Helms: Be a good lad and (beep) off eh…

*Tim Allen looks highly affronted as Helms takes a huge swig of champagne and walks off, shouting “Here comes the (beeping) champ” at the top of his voice.

Michael Bird: Ladies and gentlemen the following contest is the Time Attack match for the 6CWF European Championship!

*Crowd pop

JT: Excited, RJ?

RJ: Beyond so….this match was designed in 6WF many years ago….a multi-competitor matchup, a countdown clock….as many pinfalls or submissions can take place during that time….the superstar who scores the final decision before the time is up will walk away as champion….

JT: Traditionally an hour long match in 6WF but tonight we have thirty minutes….will that make a difference?

RJ: I think it will push the six men involved to take more risks….they don’t have to conserve as much energy as they would in an hour long contest…

JT: The European Championship had a very prestigious history over in 6WF….I know there were a lot of happy fans to see it re-introduced last week…

RJ: Just take a look at it….she’s a beauty….

Another plinth has been rolled out to ringside and the 6CWF European Championship belt is sat atop it. “Next big thing” then screams through the speakers to thunderous boos from the crowd in attendance…

JT: You know, Mike Hill did it all in 6WF but he never won the European Championship…..

RJ: And how he’d love to change that tonight…..Mike Hill has been extremely vocal about the perceived lack of respect he receives from the fans, he believes he deserves so much more….well leaving here tonight as a champion may change a few people’s opinions…

Hill swaggers down the ramp toward ringside, talking trash to the fans, and then leaps up onto the apron. He springs over the ropes and poses in front of the cameras…

RJ: Mike Hill has history in these types of matches….he once defended and lost the TAW World Championship in a Time Attack match...he will not want a repeat of that here tonight…

Hill continues to swagger around the ring and then “Ain’t no stopping me” blasts out to a tremendous ovation from the fans. Cameron Faith appears on the stage and he nods his head in appreciation of the support he is receiving…

JT: Now this man is another with a point to prove…..it has been a topsy turvy ride so far in 6CWF for Cameron Faith…

RJ: Started out bright but is on a run of losses now….Faith was once groomed for the big time in 6WF, it seemed only a matter of time before he held world gold….

JT: But his liaison with Kristal led him down a path that took away his focus….unfortunately Faith seems to be revisiting that right now…

RJ: He and Kristal have been spending time together once again and Faith seems to have returned to his party days….we saw how much that affected him last time out….you’d have to hope Faith is in a better frame of mind tonight…

Cameron Faith takes off his cap and places it on the head of a young fan at ringside before climbing up into the ring. He stares across at Mike Hill, who looks back with a smirk on his lips…

JT: Plenty of history between these two men…

RJ: Plenty of history between many of the combatants here tonight…..that should add some real layers to what we are about to see over the next half hour….

Faith and Hill continue to stare at one another as “Be Myself” then echoes out and is met by more cheers from the audience. Pink pyrotechnics explode into the air before Lex Hart appears through the plume of smoke….

JT: A lot of love in Birmingham tonight for the “black sheep” of the Hart family…

RJ: Former 6CW and 6WF World Champion….one of the very few to ever achieve both accolades….a future first ballot hall of famer….Lex Hart has achieved so much in his career….but he’s the kind of man that will never be content, he wants more….he strives for more….

JT: He needs an upturn in fortunes….since an opening week victory over Mike Hill he has struggled with form…

RJ: Mostly due to the fact that Hill keeps attacking him at every turn…

JT: Hill and Hart have certainly been embroiled in an ongoing battle….I expect to see plenty more of that here tonight…

RJ: They have thirty minutes to tear chunks out of one another…

JT: Lex is another man with history in this kind of match…

RJ: To be honest I think the majority of the playing field has appeared in Time Attack at one point in their careers…

Lex paces around the ring as more referees are sent down to ringside in order to ensure the fighting doesn’t start too early. Mike Hill is leaning over the ropes and directing insults at Hart before “Turk’s Theme” echoes out to another crescendo of boos from the crowd. The two beautiful Geishas walk out onto the stage before Johnny Oko appears, flanked by two of his “guards”….

JT: I mean where do you even begin with this man?

RJ: Formerly one of the best tag wrestlers in 6WF...Johnny Oko had a great bond with Vortex under the guidance of Charles Kramer….but over the last couple of years he seems to have returned to his native Japan and become intertwined in the life of organised crime, or at least that’s how the rumours go…

JT: The guy has trained samurai as his “guards”….he carries a Katana….and God knows what is going on between Oko’s clan and Drake but I fear one of our Board members is caught up in Oko’s web….this man is extremely dangerous…

RJ: That I can agree on….first match back and we watched as Johnny Oko snapped the fingers of Nicky Cassidy….Oko was then primed to do the same again last week against Cameron Faith before Geoff Steel intervened…...this is as dark and callous as we have ever seen from Johnny Oko….

JT: I think this man would do anything to walk out of here as the European Champion…

Oko stops at the base of the ring and the Geishas bow to him before walking back up the ramp. Oko’s “guards” stay and stand on each side of the aisleway…

RJ: Why does Oko need protection out here?

JT: Unfortunately there is nothing in tonight’s rulebook to prevent it….

Cameron Faith is staring at Johnny Oko with a great deal of dislike before “Last Resort” rips through the airwaves and every fan in the arena rises to their feet…

RJ: I’d say the overwhelming fan favourite here tonight….

JT: I agree…..this crowd would love Geoff Steel to walk out of here tonight as the European Champion….

RJ: The former 6CW World Champion returned a couple of weeks ago and he has shown that he will not back down from any kind of threat….he’s stood up to both Mike Hill and Johnny Oko since he came back, preventing them from causing untold damage to two of the other competitors in this match….

JT: You could argue that if it wasn’t for Geoff Steel then neither Lex Hart or Cameron Faith would be able to participate tonight….

RJ: Be that as it may this is every man for himself….no time for friends here tonight…

Steel shows no fear as he climbs up the steel steps and steps through the ring. He looks around at all the other competitors whilst the crowd chant his name...

JT: You can see Mike Hill eyeing Steel with great dislike, plenty of history there…

RJ: Former tag champs….Steel and Hill have a very intense past...I’d expect to see that redevelop at some point in this one….

JT: We’ve seen glimpses in the last couple of weeks….so many facets to this contest…

RJ: And we are awaiting just one more…

All eyes turn back to the stage for the final time as “Revival Mode” crashes through the speakers. More pyros erupt before Liam Wood comes walking out into view. There is a real mixed reaction from the audience. Boos sound out from many sections but there are audible cheers from Wood’s die-hard fanbase….

JT: Mr EWF is here…

RJ: Liam Wood said he signed his contract with 6CWF in order to achieve things in his career that he never has before…..we didn’t know what he meant at first but as soon as the announcement was made about the return of the European Championship, Wood demanded to be added to this contest…

JT: And it was only fair that he got his wish….Wood is 3-0 since his return…

RJ: 3 straight matches with ex-EWF competitors….Wood believes someone has been playing games with him by dragging up the past of EWF….

JT: And then last week we saw the return of Drake and Kelsey Callihan….it doesn’t take a genius…

RJ: Drake Callihan was the former owner of EWF, he blames Liam Wood for bringing that federation down….he’s bided his time for a long while but it seems he has returned to finally seek his revenge….

JT: Well so far he hasn’t made a dent in Wood but he’s not a man easily deterred...I think Wood and Callihan are likely to renew hostilities at some point….

RJ: More than likely….Wood is going to need eyes in the back of his head with someone like Callihan gunning for him…

JT: But then we also know that Liam Wood is gunning for an unknown someone too….remember the first night back when he ripped that photo down off the wall?

RJ: Wood took real exception with someone being celebrated in the hall of champions….as of yet we do not know the identity of that individual but I’m sure Wood will let us know when he’s good and ready…

JT: Wood has always been an extremely complex guy…..I think that’s why the fans are split on him….some love his intensity but others believe he allows his ego to lead his decisions…

RJ: One thing nobody can deny is his talent….

Liam Wood reaches the ring and then he climbs up inside, completing the playing field. There are three referees in all, one in the ring and two on the outside, trying to keep order between the six superstars involved. There is plenty of trash talk between them…

JT: What a lineup this is…..we have four former world champions in there, six of the best in the world today…..

RJ: And we have thirty minutes on the clock…..superstar that gets that final decision is walking away as champion…..AND HERE WE GO!

From the moment the bell sounds all six men burst into action. Johnny Oko actually backs off toward the ropes and slithers to the outside whilst Lex Hart and Geoff Steel take it in turns to pummel Mike Hill in the opposite corner. Liam Wood and Cameron Faith stare across at one another and then move into an exchange…

JT: What do you make of Oko’s tactics here?

RJ: It’s not what we want to see but there is a real intelligence to it….preserve energy and wait it out, strike closer to the final moments of the match when everyone else has tired themselves out…

We get a shot of the clock on the Tron “29:32” before the cameras pan back to ringside. Hill is whipped across the ring and sent into a double backdrop by Steel and Hart. Steel then charges forward and clotheslines Hill over the top rope before Lex rolls Steel up………………..1…………..2…………..kickout!

JT: Like we said before this match started, there are no friends in this match…

Steel quickly bounces back and he stares at Lex. Hart shrugs and then lets loose with vicious chops to the chest. Steel responds with solid right hands that rock Hart back and then he whips him to the corner. Hart tries to use the ropes to push himself up and over the oncoming Steel but Steel is alive to it and catches Hart on his shoulders. He swivels out of the corner and runs him into a powerslam……………..1…………...2……….shoulder up!

On the opposite side of the ring, Cameron Faith springboards off the ropes but is caught by Wood in midair. Wood looks for a powerbomb but Faith counters with a headscissors that sends Wood through the ropes and out onto the apron. Faith staggers to the corner and climbs up…

RJ: I’m not sure what Cameron Faith is thinking here….falls only count inside the ring…

JT: He’s a showman...and we also know he isn’t in the best mindset right now…..JESUS CHRIST!

RJ: I CAN’T BELIEVE WHAT WE JUST WITNESSED!

Faith turns on his heel and then scores a sensational moonsault from the top rope onto Wood on the apron that sends them both crashing in a heap to the concrete floor below. The referee’s on the outside check on both men’s condition…

JT: This match is barely minute’s old and already Cameron Faith and Liam Wood’s race may be run…

Geoff Steel is beckoning Lex back up when Mike Hill springboards back in and dropkicks him in the back, sending him flying through the ropes to the outside. Lex gets back up and Hill lifts him into an inverted atomic drop and then hits a spinning heel kick. Hill points the ropes, laughing off the boos of the crowd, and then he leaps onto them…

RJ: LIONSAULT….LEX COUNTERED!

The crowd go wild as somehow Lex turns the “lionsault” into a sharpshooter. Hill, tries desperately, to crawl for safety, but Lex drags him back to the centre of the ring and sits right back into the hold….

JT: Just last month we saw Mike Hill tap to this move…

RJ: And he may want to think about his options here….a quick tap keeps him fresh for the remainder of the match….

The referee is leaning down and asking Hill if he wants to quit but he shakes his head. He continues to try and crawl for the ropes…

JT: Lex Hart might be about to put the first fall on the board….

RJ: K-OKO!…..OUT OF NOWHERE!

Johnny Oko has finally seen enough and he rolls into the ring before running in from the side and detonates the “claymore kick” to the head of Lex Hart…

Michael Bird: Ladies and gentlemen…..your current European Champion….Johnny Oko!

The crowd are booing as Oko kneels over Lex Hart and then rolls back out of the ring to join his henchmen. Geoff Steel is the first back into the ring and he is weighing up his options as he watches Mike Hill getting back up…

JT: Oko just snuck in and took the championship before returning to the outside….I’ve never seen tactics like this…

RJ: And now Geoff Steel looks set to try his chances at the gold….Mike Hill is still struggling….

JT: BLADECUTTER!

Steel lands a boot to the stomach and he prepares for the “piledriver” but Hill swipes his legs and bridges over the top…………...1…………...2……….kickout. They both get back up and Steel looks for a clothesline but Hill ducks it and springs onto the turnbuckle and then twists back with a tornado DDT on Steel…

RJ: PSYCHO CRUSHER!

Liam Wood comes out of nowhere and he drills Hill into the canvass with the stomp before hooking both legs…

JT: So now we see Oko’s tactics….he’s going to try and sabotage every fall from the outside…

Cameron Faith is struggling up on the outside and he receives a huge ovation from the audience. He pulls himself back onto the apron and then scales the ropes before launching off and lands an elbow drop to the heart of Mike Hill. He gets back up and he watches as Lex, Steel and Hill all begin to rise….

RJ: Faith has a hell of a decision on his hands here….who does he go for….

JT: Whoever gets up first…..ACT OF FAITH!

Hill is first to his feet but he ducks the superkick as it detonates on the jaw of Lex Hart and sends him over the top rope to the outside. Mike Hill lands a backheel kick to Faith’s stomach as he turns around…

RJ: OVER THE HILL!

JT: BLADECUTTER!

Hill scores with the “diamond dust” but then Steel drags him up and immediately scores with the piledriver in the middle of the ring……………….one…………...two…………..thr-Oko and his henchmen drag Steel from the ring and begin to beat him down…

RJ: Another damn mugging….can’t someone do something about this?

JT: There’s nothing in the rules to prevent this from happening….

Steel is trying to cover up but he succumbs to the blows and then is whipped into the steel steps, sending them flying.

RJ: Everyone down except Oko….and he’s the current champion….he keeps this up and nobody is stopping him from leaving with the gold…

Oko is giving instructions to his henchmen and making sure they understand their task as we get a picture of Mike Hill, who is slowly getting up inside of the ring. Hill stumbles against the ropes and then takes a look at everyone else on the outside…

JT: Hill’s only option right now is to take out Oko…

RJ: I think that’s the only option for everyone….and perhaps they are starting to realise it…

The timer shows “25:00” as Liam Wood rises from behind the Spanish announce desk and stares at Johnny Oko. Cameron Faith is sat on the apron and is also staring over at the Japanese superstar….Lex Hart then stumbles up and so does Geoff Steel….

JT: I have a feeling Johnny Oko and his boys might be about to regret their decisions thus far….

Oko’s eyes are narrowed, showing no fear, as he directs his henchmen in front of him. Lex and Steel burst forward and take the first one out, beating him with rights and lefts. Steel drags a table out from under the ring and then he and Lex deliver a double suplex through the wood as the crowd go wild….

RJ: That’s one down….

The second henchmen tries to plead for mercy but Cameron Faith detonates a superkick on his jaw which sends him into Liam Wood, who then delivers a kick to the stomach and nails the “Manson Driver” on the bottom half of the steel steps…

JT: And here come security….I think JJ Johnson and the Board have seen enough of Oko’s scheming….

RJ: SO HAS MIKE HILL!

Hill is far from a fan favourite but he runs across the ring and propels himself over the top rope into a mesmerising somersault takedown on Johnny Oko. All five men stare at one another…

JT: It’s every man for themselves but they seem united for a moment….

RJ: What are they thinking here? OH MY GOD!

Steel and Lex grab and arm each whilst Wood and Faith grab a leg. Mike Hill shoos the Spanish commentators away from the desk before Oko is launched up into the air (ala The Spirit Squad) and left to crash down through the announce table….

JT: Johnny Oko may be the current European Champion but I’m not sure how much more of this match he is going to see…

Crowd: You (beeped) up x10

RJ: It was a brave tactic from Oko to begin this match in the fashion he did…..but I think he may be regretting it now….

Johnny Oko is in the wreckage of the announce table as there is a momentary ceasefire between the other combatants. Mike Hill then nails a sucker punch on Lex Hart and runs him forward, slamming him head-first into the ringpost. Hill throws Hart under the bottom rope and climbs up onto the top rope….

JT: Hill stealing in here….NEXT BIG MOVE!

Hill throws himself into the corkscrew 630 and lands across the body of Lex Hart…………….1………………….2…………….Steel drags Hill off the pinfall and turns him over into the submission….

RJ: Steel Works!

Steel applies the “liontamer” and drives his knee right into the spine of Mike Hill. Hill is screaming in agony as Steel turns up the pressure to it’s maximum….

JT: Nobody survives long in this hold….

RJ: ACT OF FAITH!

Faith shrugs his shoulders, almost apologetically, as he leaps from the corner and smashes his foot into Steel’s face and drops him. He is preparing for the cover when he is spun around and popped into the air….

JT: WORLD EATER!

Michael Bird: Ladies and gentlemen…….your current European Champion……...Liam Wood!

RJ: Wood said he came back to 6CWF to achieve what he never has before….he is a little over twenty minutes away from adding the European Championship to his already glittering CV…

Wood listens to the mixed review of the crowd and then he nods his head. He looks around at the myriad of bodies around him…

JT: Now Wood has a choice to make…..does he go on the offensive? Or does he sit back and play defence?

RJ: I think Wood goes for it…

Security are still ridding Oko’s henchmen from ringside as Wood paces the ring. He drags Faith up and throws him from the ring before doing the same to Mike Hill. Wood then seizes Lex Hart under the chin and starts to drag him up….

JT: Looks like Wood is just clearing the ring….

RJ: FLATLINE…

JT: JUST LIKE THAT!

The crowd go wild as Lex Hart leaps into the air and he splatters Wood into the mat with the “RKO”. Lex then drops an arm over Wood’s chest……………..1……………..2……….Steel gutwrenches Lex off the cover and carries him to the ropes before showing immense strength to launch him over the top to the outside…

JT: Geoff Steel may be, pound for pound, the strongest wrestler we have ever seen….

RJ: It is his biggest attribute….

Wood is trying to crawl for the ropes as Steel stalks him. Wood gets to his feet and Steel beckons him around before unloading with a huge right hand. He lands two more and then whips Wood into the corner. He chases in but Wood drives his feet up and connects with Steel’s jaw….Steel staggers back and falls to one knee as Wood runs out toward him…

JT: PSYCHO CRUSHER!

20:00 – Wood leaps into the air for the foot stomp but Steel rises into the air and catches Wood on his shoulders before spinning him around into a huge sit-down powerbomb. Steel gets to his feet and he points to the corner as the crowd go wild. Steel heads for the turnbuckle and he climbs up high….

RJ: Not Geoff Steel’s preferred method of attack….WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT!

Mike Hill springboards onto the ropes from the apron and then nails an excellent frankensteiner from the top that sends Steel crashing to the canvass below. Hill lifts Steel up into a suplex and then slams him down on top of Liam Wood before he heads for the corner once again…

JT: Hill has two to aim for….he only needs one…

RJ: MIKE TIME!

Hill launches himself into the 450 splash and he crashes down on top of Steel and Wood at the same time. Hill clutches his ribs as he gets back up to his feet….

JT: ACT OF FAITH!

RJ: That’s all it takes…..just one kick from Faith to clean house….

The crowd are cheering as Faith drops to his knees and wipes his brow. He looks out at the audience and then nods his head as he clambers to his feet. Steel and Wood have both rolled from the ring and are trying to rise up as Faith chooses to dart to the ropes…

JT: FAITH GOING ALL OUT!

Faith dives through the ropes with a suicide dive that clatters into both and leaves them sprawled across the floor. He stands in front of the audience and nods his head as they chant his name…

RJ: A win here tonight for Cameron Faith would go a long, long way to turning his fortunes around…

Faith gets up onto the apron again and he watches Mike Hill trying to get back up. He clambers through the ropes and attempts to scoop Hill into a backbreaker but Hill backflips out of Faith’s grip and pushes him into the corner. Hill chases in but eats a back elbow to the mouth. Faith then leaps out for another superkick but Hill ducks underneath it and then swipes the legs of Faith….

RJ: Liontamer….

Faith uses his legs to kick out and sends Hill staggering back to the corner. Faith gets back to his feet and he charges in with a solid knee to the jaw before running out with a bulldog on Hill. He looks down at Hill…

JT: So much bad blood through the years between these two men….Faith would love to win this title off the back of a pin over Mike Hill….

RJ: And looks as though he is trying to remove Hill from the match completely now….

JT: LEAP OF FAITH….YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME?!?

Crowd: Holy (beep) x10

RJ: Perhaps the greatest counter in the history of the game…

Cameron Faith is up on the top rope and he launches himself into the incredible double rotation moonsault. As he comes down to land Lex Hart appears in the ring and drills him with “RKO”….

JT: Lex Hart is one of the best that has ever done it and he just proved why…..it takes a real ring technician to pull something like that….

RJ: Faith had no idea what was coming…..that was insane…

Lex is on his knees momentarily, almost shocked by his own actions, and then Liam Wood pulls him from the ring and lifts him into a back suplex position before dropping him backward, clattering Lex’s neck off the ringside barrier…

JT: Damn, that could break a neck….Wood showing no remorse, he is desperate to leave here as a champion…

Wood looks down at Lex and then he turns back toward the ring. He watches as Faith and Hill struggle on the canvass and then he climbs up high and leaps off with a double lariat takedown on both men. Faith leaves the ring after the impact and Wood fixes his attention onto Mike Hill. Hill stumbles up and Wood whips him off the ropes before popping him up….

RJ: WORLD EATER!

Hill counters in midair with a beautiful “hill-can-rana” takedown. They scramble back up and Hill ducks Wood’s attack before handspringing into the ropes and diving back….

JT: Wood caught him….VIPER LOCK!

The crowd go wild as Wood catches Hill in mid-flight in the full nelson. He begins to push him down into the camel clutch position when Hill flicks his heel back and clearly makes contact with the nether regions of Wood…

RJ: That was blatant…

JT: Once again, though, in this match it doesn’t matter….there’ll be no disqualifications….

Wood drops down to his knees after the low blow and Hill smirks. He ruffles Wood’s hair and slaps his head, taunting him, before kicking him in the face. Hill heads for the corner and he begins to rise…

RJ: Mike Hill is as arrogant as they come….

JT: But he’s still one of the best in the business….and he could easily leave here tonight with another title in his possession…

RJ: He’s willing to take the risks necessary to make that happen….thinking NEXT BIG MOVE!

Hill is settling himself on the ropes but Wood is up and he dives at the ropes, causing Hill to lose his footing and drop into a crotched position up high. Wood takes a deep breath as he stumbles over to the corner and begins to climb up….

JT: These men have already exerted so much effort in this contest….

RJ: If this was a sixty minute “Time Attack” then they’d be in real trouble….but with almost half of this bout already gone, we are set for a hell of a quarter hour…

Wood is up high and he pulls Hill into a front facelock. The crowd are on their feet in anticipation of what is coming next…

JT: THAT IS UNREAL STRENGTH…..I MEAN SERIOUSLY!

Geoff Steel is back in the ring and he climbs up onto the turnbuckle as well and he manoeuvres his body so that he has Liam Wood and then Mike Hill stacked up on his shoulders….the noise inside the Birmingham Bowl is wild as Steel stands on the second rope and then leaps off, throwing both men off with an incredible fireman’s slam (Attitude Adjustment)….

RJ: Frightening strength…..I mean I have never seen anything like that…..Geoff Steel is a real life superhero…

JT: The landing for Wood was bad enough but Mike Hill bounced right across the ring…..

RJ: We are halfway through this contest….and I am in awe of what these six men have done thus far….

15:00 – Geoff Steel clambers up to his feet and he stumbles over to make a cover on Liam Wood………….1…………….2……...kickout!

JT: He should have gone for Hill first, he took the brunt of the damage…

Steel makes his way over to Hill and he hooks the leg……………...1……………….2………..Cameron Faith places Hill’s foot on the ropes from outside the ring!

RJ: Cameron Faith keeping the European Championship on Lex Hart for the time being….

JT: But he’ll be looking to change that for himself in the coming minutes…

Faith is back up on the apron and he scales up the ropes. He waits for Steel to rise and then he leaps off towards him with a crossbody…..Steel rolls back through with Faith in his arms….

RJ: Huge power game from Geoff Steel on display once again….What is Steel thinking here….no, he can’t?

The crowd are going wild as Steel, focus burning in his eyes, walks toward the corner and begins to climb up the ropes with Faith in his hands. Faith is trying to struggle free but Steel’s grip is powerful….

RJ: Steel going high risk here…..these men are willing to do whatever it takes to become champion……..OH MY LORD!

JT: HE LANDED ON HIS FEET!!!

The flashbulbs are going off as Steel launches Faith off the second rope with the fall away slam but, amazingly, Faith lands out on his feet. Faith staggers but keeps his balance and then he wills Steel back up and launches toward him…

RJ: ACT OF FAITH!

Steel catches Faith’s foot and then he swipes his standing leg, he turns him over immediately and drives his knee into Faith’s spine…

JT: STEELWORKS!

Faith is thrashing and trying to claw his way to the ropes but Steel is holding on tight. He really arches into the hold…

RJ: I don’t think Faith can withstand much more of this….

JT: HE WON’T HAVE TO!

Lex Hart is back in the mix and he clatters a brutal lariat into the back of Steel’s neck, breaking the submission. Lex quickly drags Steel back up and pulls him into a front facelock…

RJ: Lex returning from the brink here…...JACKHAMMER!

Steel floats over the back of Lex and hooks in a full nelson. He attempts to lift him but Lex rolls through and pulls him into a pinning counter…………...1………………..2………..kickout!

JT: Lex is already champ…..that wouldn’t have changed a thing….

They scramble back up and Lex dodges a forearm from Steel and hooks his arms around his waist before nailing a huge German suplex. He heads to the corner and nails a moonsault from the bottom rope….

RJ: Lex looking for the hat-trick here…..

Lex leaps onto the second rope but Mike Hill is on the apron and he grabs Hart’s head before pulling him off and guillotines him across the top rope. Hart is flat on the deck as Hill quickly scampers up the ropes…

JT: Hill and Lex have been at loggerheads for weeks now….a finish between these two would almost be poetic….

RJ: Hill going all in…..NEXT BIG MOVE!

JT: And he got it….

Hill drills down on top of Lex Hart and nails the 630 senton……………….1………………….2……………...Steel drags Hill off the cover again and turns him into the liontamer….

RJ: Hill trapped in the centre of the ring….he’s got nowhere to go…..Steel couldn’t have this locked in any tighter…

Mike Hill’s yells of pain are filling the air as Steel continues to bend his spine at an unnatural angle. The referee is asking if Hill wants to quit but he is shaking his head fervently, clutching at his head as he tries to resist the agony….

JT: There’s no way Hill can last another twelve minutes in this hold….

RJ: ESPECIALLY NOT NOW!

Lex Hart is extremely groggy on the canvass but he sees Steel with the submission and Hill trying to reach for the ropes. He rolls over and grabs Hill’s arm before applying a crossface at the same time as Steel has the “Steelworks” locked in…

JT: Mike Hill is in utter agony here…..he’s tapping out…..

RJ: But who is the champion?

Hill is tapping his hand furiously against the canvass as both Lex Hart and Steel release the submission holds…

Michael Bird: Ladies and gentlemen…..your current European Champions…..Geoff Steel and Lex Hart!

JT: We’re heading for co-champions?

RJ: It sure would seem that way…

JT: Not if Lex and Steel have anything to do about it…

Lex is back up as the announcement is made. He and Steel glare at one another and then a shoving match ensues. They begin to trade right hands as the crowd are split in their support….

RJ: Both Lex Hart and Geoff have gained a modicum of revenge on Mike Hill but now they’re gonna fight it out for the championship….

Steel’s punches have more power behind them and begins to stagger Lex back toward the ropes. He grabs his arm and looks for an Irish whip but Hart twists inside and pulls Steel toward him….

JT: FLATLINE!

Lex leaps up for the RKO but Steel puts the brakes on and shoves him away. Lex uses his athleticism to leap over the ropes onto the apron. Steel makes a rush for him but Lex forearms him away….

RJ: WHAT A SPEAR!

Liam Wood comes running out of nowhere and dives through the ropes with an incredible spear that takes he and Hart crashing to the concrete floor below…..

JT: This is pure and utter mayhem…..and only Geoff Steel is left on his feet right now….WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!?

Suddenly five more of Johnny Oko’s “henchmen” storm the ring and begin to beatdown on Geoff Steel. He is trying his best to fight them off but they are swarming all over him…

RJ: This is a goddamn joke…..why is this being allowed to happen?

JT: Because, unfortunately, there are no rules to prevent it…..just like earlier…...K-OKO, DAMMIT!

RJ: Johnny Oko has risen “From the Ashes”….

Steel has just about fought off the “henchmen” when he turns around and takes a brutal flying kick to the face from Johnny Oko, who looks less than impressed with what has happened thus far…………..1……………….2……………...3!

JT: I don’t believe this….

Michael Bird: Ladies and gentlemen…..your current European Champion…..Johhnny Oookkkkoooo!

RJ: Ten minutes left in this match and Johnny Oko is back on top…..

JT: With an army to support him….

10:00 - Johnny Oko has instructions for all of his henchmen as they dive from the ring and pull up the ring apron. All five of them take a kendo stick in hand as they target the other members of the match…

RJ: Johnny Oko wants his men to spend the next ten minutes keeping his opposition down and out….

JT: Easier said than done…

RJ: They’re starting pretty well…

Lex Hart is trying to use the ringside barrier to reach his feet as two of the henchmen attack him with brutal kendo stick shots to the back. They then crash one of the sticks into the stomach of Hart before another stick cracks the side of his face and leaves him in a brutal heap on the floor….

BOOM!

JT: MY GOD!

Two more of the henchmen abandon the kendo sticks and pick up the steel steps. They then haul them through the air and they smash into the head of Geoff Steel, leaving him unconscious on the deck…..

RJ: This is gang brutality….Johnny Oko’s men are ransacking this match…

JT: A fantastic championship match is being overrun here…

RJ: But they didn’t see Cameron Faith….and he has a bone to pick with Johnny Oko…

Faith is on the apron and he springboards in and lands a flying shining wizard to the jaw of Johnny Oko as he turns around. One of Oko’s henchmen jumps up on the apron…

JT: ACT OF FAITH…..AND ANOTHER…..AND ANOTHER…..CAMERON FAITH IS KICKING EVERYTHING THAT BY GOD MOVES!

Four of Oko’s henchmen leap up onto the apron as Faith leaps at them and lands superkick after superkick, sending them flying down to the floor below. He then spots the fifth one and he sprints to the ropes and suicide dives through to clatter into him, sending him crashing back against the “Social Media” announce table. Faith listens to the roar of the audience as he makes his way back to the ring….

RJ: Cameron Faith just took out every single one of Johnny Oko’s men….

JT: But now he needs to cut off the head of the snake to leave here as European Champion….OKO CAUGHT HIM!

Faith leaps over the ropes but Oko runs into him and catches him on his shoulders. He prepares to drill Faith the “Ode to Taka” (Michinoku Driver” but Faith scrambles off the back and nails the “Ghetto Blaster” (backbreaker into a swinging neckbreaker). Faith takes in deep breaths as he pulls Oko and begins to nail him with vertical suplexes….

RJ: He wants all three of them…..HE GOT ALL THREE OF THEM!

More cheers ring around the Birmingham Bowl as Faith digs into his reserves of energy and nails the hat-trick of suplexes. He kneels over Oko for a minute and then stumbles over to the corner...he climbs high as the flashbulbs go off and then he throws himself through the air….

JT: LEAP OF FAITH!

Faith leaps into the beautiful moonsault as Oko rolls away. Faith, showing incredible skill, lands on his feet and then backflips into a standing moonsault that lands across the chest of Oko. He staggers back into the corner as Oko crawls back up….

RJ: Cameron Faith is going to the wire here tonight…..the drive is back, the desire at its peak…...ACT OF FAITH!

JT: MANSON DRIVER!

Liam Wood is back in the ring the moment after Faith detonates the superkick on Johnny Oko. He spins Faith around and drills him with the finisher before hooking both legs….

One of Oko’s henchmen pulls Wood from the ring before the three count can be completed. He has a kendo stick in hand and he swings it Wood’s head but he catches it and pulls it free….WHACK….he whips it across the head of his adversary and leaves him to stagger back across the “Social Media” announce desk. Wood then climbs up on the table and drags the “henchmen” up….

JT: Wood has had enough….TAKE THAT!

The four other henchmen are on their feet as Wood flips the “guard” up on his shoulders into a powerbomb position and then he throws him off the table and through the air, crashing him into the four others….

RJ: Johnny Oko’s men have stuck their noses in far too much here tonight…..they really have….and now they are getting their comeuppance…

JT: And Liam Wood is looking in good shape….he’s got five minutes left on the clock to win a championship that he never has before…….WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?!?

There is shock from the crowd as Daniel Reilly dives over the barricade and he jumps up behind Wood on the announce table before leaping through the air and drills him with an RKO, smashing Wood’s head down into the table and leaving him slumped. Reilly just sits there for a moment with a dark look on his face…

RJ: What the hell is the meaning behind this?

JT: We saw earlier Daniel Reilly in discussions with Drake Callihan following his loss…..is this what they were talking about? Has Reilly been recruited?

RJ: It damn sure looks like it...why else would he be out here and taking out Liam Wood?

JT: Liam Wood’s dreams of becoming European Champion may have just disappeared right in front of his face….

Reilly is laughing at the boos from his hometown fans before sliding off the table and swaggering toward the backstage area. Back in the ring and Cameron Faith is trying to get back up to his feet as Johnny Oko grabs his arm and pulls him down into an armbreaker across his knees….

RJ: Oko is still champion…..and he’s looking to finish what he started two weeks ago…..he’s gonna snap the arm of Cameron Faith…

The crowd are booing as Johnny Oko sits on top of Faith’s back and begins to apply the “Fujiwara” armbar. He is grabbing at Faith’s fingers….

JT: He’s gonna break the fingers, one by one….

RJ: I don’t think I can watch this again….

JT: CANADIAN DESTROYER!

5:00 – Lex Hart suddenly leaps over the top rope and immediately flips Johnny Oko over into the devastating piledriver…

RJ: LOOK AT THE BLOOD….MY GOD….

JT: Hill was hiding under the damn ring whilst Oko’s men were attacking the playing field….

RJ: Smart or cowardly….he’s now in prime position….

Hill appears from underneath the ring apron and he drags Lex under the bottom rope before swinging a steel chair at his head, crashing Lex’s skull against the ringpost at the same time and leaving him in a sickening, bloody mess on the floor…

JT: We need medics out here….

RJ: Wood is down…..Lex Hart is busted wide open….we’ve got less than five minutes on the clock….

JT: Johnny Oko is still the current champion….

Hill has a dark look on his face as he stares down at the mess of Lex Hart before rolling back in the ring. He sets the steel chair up in the centre and then he grabs Johnny Oko by the head…

RJ: Hill looking to ensure a clean run at the gold…..OVER THE HILL!

JT: He just smashed the back of Oko’s head through the seat of that chair….

RJ: FLYING HEADBUTT!

Geoff Steel leaps through the air and he breaks up the pinfall at the final second with a huge headbutt to the back of Mike Hill. They scramble back up and Steel grabs Hill by the head…

JT: BLADECUTTER!

Hill scurries back to the ropes and he backdrops Steel over the top and onto the apron. Steel attempts a shoulder thrust through the middle but Hill slams his knee into Steel’s head and then flips over the ropes….

RJ: SUNSET FLIP BOMB…..OH MY LORD!

The crowd are on their feet once more as Hill crashes Steel down onto the concrete floor in the aisleway with the apron bomb. Hill is holding the bottom of his back but he manages to pull himself back up. He drags himself onto the apron and scales the ropes…..Johnny Oko is still flat out in the centre of the ring….

JT: NEXT BIG MOVE!

RJ: K-OKO!

Hill throws himself into the 630 senton but Oko moves. Hill somehow manages to roll through upon impact and gets back up but Oko is already on his feet and he sprints at Hill, diving through the air with the “Claymore” kick…

JT: NOBODY HOME!

Hill rolls aside and he sends Johnny Oko crashing into the turnbuckle. He then runs him out and flattens him with a one handed bulldog….Hill points to the ropes and then leaps onto them…

RJ: LIONSAULT!

*Crowd pop

JT: THAT WAS BEAUTIFUL!

Cameron Faith is on the apron and he leaps across and detonates the superkick on Hill’s jaw whilst he is springing off the ropes. Hill collapses on the deck as Faith goes up high and launches himself off…

RJ: LEAP OF FAITH!

Faith spins twice through the air and connects with the double rotation moonsault across the chest of Mike Hill…

JT: THIS MAY BE THE MOST ACTION PACKED TIME ATTACK MATCH I HAVE EVER SEEN!

The referee’s hand comes down and counts the three as Geoff Steel scoops Johnny Oko onto his shoulders and then delivers an “Attitude Adjustment” through the “Social Media” announce table….Oko is left in the splinters…..

RJ: Oko has gone through two different announce tables in one match….

JT: He’s finished…

Michael Bird: Ladies and gentlemen…..your current European Champion…..Cameron Faith!

RJ: And Cameron Faith has a little over two minutes to survive and he’s leaving here as the European Champion….

Liam Wood is slumped against the back of the ringside barrier, away from the wreckage of the “Social Media” desk but it is clear he is still feeling the effects of Reilly’s “RKO”. Geoff Steel is on his feet and he turns to the ring, where Cameron Faith is staring out at him…

JT: Steel and Faith are left on their feet….two minutes left….this is the fight….this is the end…

RJ: Two weeks ago it was Geoff Steel who told Faith to get back on the straight and narrow….he saved Faith from having his arm broken by Johnny Oko…..now they will fight it out to become champion….

JT: The crowd are torn…..here we go…

The punches thunder in from both sides as Steel and Faith go hell for leather. Faith is knocked back on his heels by a big time uppercut from Steel and then he whips him across the ring…..Faith ducks a clothesline and then comes off the opposite side with a flying lariat takedown. He kicks back up onto his feet as the fans cheer….

RJ: Thirty minutes at one hell of a pace, putting their bodies on the line….but Cameron Faith is finding this energy from somewhere….

JT: The will and the desire to be a champion….he’s gearing up for the superkick….he lands this and Steel is out, he’s leaving with the gold…..ACT OF FAITH!

The crowd are clapping as Faith stomps his foot against the mat and then he leaps forwards for the superkick but Steel ducks underneath it and lands a big kick to the stomach…

RJ: BLADECUTTER!

Cheers ring out as Steel gets the piledriver and he covers………………..1……………..2…………….3!

JT: Steel has done it….there is 59 seconds on the clock…

Michael Bird: Ladies and gentlemen….your current European Champion…..Geoff Steel!

RJ: You’ve got less than a minute to survive Geoff…..what a match….

JT: INCOMING!

Mike Hill is on the top rope and he launches through the air with a missile dropkick but Steel has him scouted and catches his legs before slamming him down into the deck. He tries to twist Hill over into the submission but Hill reaches up and rakes the eyes….

RJ: There is literally thirty seconds to go….it’s now or never…

Hill scrambles to his feet and he takes Steel down with a spinning heel kick. He screams at Steel to get back up….

JT: Hill has got one shot at this…..OVER THE HILL!

CRACK!

RJ: OH MY GOD!

Michael Bird: Ladies and gentlemen….the thirty minutes have now elapsed…...the winner of this bout……...and NEW 6CWF European Champion………….Miiiiiiiiikkkkkkeeee Hiiiillllllll!

RJ: That no good son of a b1tch…..

JT: He played it…..I mean there was literally a second left on the clock….

Mike Hill is on his knees, laughing, as the instant replays document the end of the match. Hill is preparing for “Over the Hill” when a bloody Lex Hart returns to the ring, steel chair in hand. Hart swings the chair at Hill’s head but he ducks it and the weapon erupts over the head of Geoff Steel. Hart is shocked by what he has done and Hill follows up with a low blow on Hart. Hill then covers the unconscious Geoff Steel just before the claxon sounds to end the match….

RJ: What a match…..I mean I didn’t even know it was possible to pack that much into thirty minutes….for my money, one of the most entertaining “Time Attack” matches in history….

JT: It really did have it all….and it went right down to the final second….Lex Hart was looking for retribution, he could barely even see straight, but he ended up taking out Steel and leaving him prime for the picking…..Mike Hill has got one over on both of his rivals right there…

RJ: And he’s got another championship on his resume….he may believe these fans don’t respect him but his achievements speak for themselves….

JT: All of these men poured their hearts and souls into this one….they all had at least one moment where they were leaving as champion….but whether it was sheer exhaustion, outside interference or just incredible action….five men fell before the final hurdle, leaving just one to walk out with the gold….

Hill is on his feet as he is passed the European Championship belt. He kisses it with an arrogant smile and then demands the referee raise his arm in victory. He then orders the official to strap it around his waist as he stares around at the wreckage….Lex Hart is sitting in the corner of the ring, his face covered in blood, whilst Geoff Steel is still out on the canvass. We see Liam Wood getting to his feet, looking groggy, on the outside whilst Johnny Oko’s henchmen are now pulling him from the wreckage of the announce desks. Cameron Faith is sat on the outside looking incredibly disappointed with the result….

RJ: Yet another incredible contest here at “From the Ashes”…...and we still have so much more to come here tonight…

JT: I need a minute or two to regain myself before the next one…

RJ: I think we all do…..second new champion of the night has been crowned and we still have another to come….as well as two very intense battles…..do not go anywhere folks….

*We immediately move backstage to JJ Johnson standing at the front of the 6CWF Board table. All members are gathered and are giving JJ their full attention.

JJ: I appreciate y’all assembling….I know tonight is hella busy, I know we’ve all got roles to play….but I got a few things I need to discuss with y’all….

*Brandi looks over at Acer and nods her head

JJ: First...let’s talk business….numbers are huge for the first month….Amazon Prime representatives are loving the product….and I wanna personally thank y’all for holding it down whilst me and my wife were away in America…

*There are courteous nods around the table

JJ: We’ve made it to our first premium live event and I’m told that we are tracking to break records….I mean Amazon be showing Premier League, Tennis and (beep) but for a live event, we doing big style….again, major love from me and mine because with all your hard work and dedication….this wouldn’t be possible…

Feels great to be back in B-Man…..this where I cut my teeth, this city like a second home...and I’m excited to have the Bowl added to our Proving Grounds roster from here on out...needless to say in the coming days and weeks we got discussions to have in regards to the road to Against the Wall and a few of the things we have planned for that….

*Brandi coughs and JJ looks at his wife. He nods

JJ: But enough on that fo’ now….I be pretty sure y’all know why I’ve called you here….I’m sure each and everyone of you has your own thoughts, feelings and opinions on the whole Clarke James saga and what the right course of action is….

Alex, I wanna thank you for the evidence you brought to me tonight….same to you, Drake...I appreciate the effort you went to…

*Walker smiles at JJ whilst Drake merely inclines his head, remaining stony jawed

JJ: Naturally I ain’t gone dismiss what I saw, it was clear as day….Clarke James has been running amok, doing whatever the hell he wants….attacking non-talent….and I know most of you were against his signing in the first place...I know most of you probably want to say “I told you so”….and I get that….I respect that…

And I stand by what I said earlier tonight….I stand by what Acer said last week….Clarke James will be held accountable for his actions and he will be punished for what he has done…

*Brandi lets out a sigh of relief and a smile returns to her face as he reaches over and puts her hand on her husband’s.

JJ: But that punishment will not take place tonight…

*Brandi quickly withdraws her hand and looks at her husband as though seeing him for the first time. Acer’s eyes close and his fists tighten at the desk

JJ: I understand that may not be what you want to hear…..I understand that many of you believe that Clarke James should be removed from tonight’s show, stripped of his right to contest the 6CW Championship in our main event….

Perhaps even you believe that some form of “street justice” should be applied here….that maybe I should take off this suit and become JJ Johnson the wrestler once again….that I should take the law into my own hands…

*Brandi’s eyes look almost tearful whilst Acer’s rage is building

JJ: Unfortunately I am not a wrestler anymore….and given my role with VIP Promotions and as head of this Board I am morally and contractually obliged to do what is best for this company….Clarke James deserves what is coming to him and rest assured his punishment will fit his crimes…

But we have fifteen thousand paying fans in this arena tonight….we have millions currently streaming our event…..an audience that have paid to see this show...to see the show as it was billed….like it or not many of those paying customers want and expect to see Uryu Ishida and Clarke James contest the 6CW Championship here tonight….

*Brandi is shaking her head

JJ: And it is my job to deliver on fan expectation…..tonight the main event will go ahead….but next week at Proving Grounds I will make sure that Clarke James is held accountable for what he has done….of that you have my word….of that I promise….

*JJ looks over towards his wife but she is looking away from him, clearly hiding her anger and tears. JJ then turns toward Acer but his friend is already standing up and walking out of the room.

Reynolds: Liam….I don’t even know where to begin….did you…

*Wood takes the mic from Reynolds, stopping him in mid flow

Wood: It’s real simple…..I don’t know what Drake Callihan promised you, Daniel, I don’t know how he bought your services….but know this….I’m coming for you now….and this war between me and Drake….well it just became your war too…..a war that I promise you will become a casualty of….you’re done!

*Wood throws the mic back to Reynolds and hobbles out of shot

*Another scene change as Christy James is shown knocking at the door of GazzyD’s changing room. Christy enters as Gazzy is finishing up with his warm up

Christy: Gazzy….look….I know this is hard right now, hard for us both….but you’re still my husband and I still love…

Gazzy: Stop….I don’t want to hear another word….thirty seconds before I’m going out to fight, really? You have all week, phone, text, come by….but you wait until now….and you want to start talking about love? Save it, Christy…

*Christy is clearly getting upset

Christy: I just wanted to wish you…

Gazzy: Like I said, save it…..take that luck, bottle it up and take it down the hallway to your little pet….because unlike me, he’s gonna need it tonight….he’s gonna need a goddamn miracle to make it out of here alive…

*Gazzy goes to walk past his wife but she reaches out to take his arm. He looks at her and shakes his head before leaving the room. Christy stifles a cry as the scene ends.

*We see Drake making his way down one of the many corridors inside the Birmingham Bowl. He looks anxious and clearly worried. We see him stop at a door with “Johnny Oko” on the nameplate. He knocks and after a few minutes the door opens. Drake is ushered inside and we hear him say “I can explain” before the door closes. Alex Walker is standing at the end of the hallway, watching. He takes out his mobile phone and presses a few keys. After a moment he raises it to his ear.

Walker: It’s me….I need you to do something for me….I need it done now!

*Another scene change and a frustrated looking Tyler Roth is shown sitting on a bench in the gym. He’s staring at the wall and then Diablo knocks and enters. Diablo offers his commiserations but Roth doesn’t want to hear it. He just wants another shot and a fair fight. Diablo says he can’t make re-matches happen but tells Roth it has already been discussed internally and it’s a possibility but Roth needs to channel the disappointment and use it to his advantage by winning every match that comes his way. Roth says next time he and Marty Helms go one on one it will be a very different outcome.

*Another change in scene and we see Rex Adamson getting ready for his upcoming match. The door opens and he is swamped by Max Adamson, Xanthi Rose, Marlon, Jackson Jackson and Frank Horrigan. Max gives is nephew a few pointers and tips but Rex bats them off and says he isn’t concerned about GazzyD, he’s got this in the bag. Rex walks out as his entourage wolf whistle and cheer him on.

Max: Bit arrogant isn’t he?

*Xanthi rolls her eyes

Xanthi: No idea where he gets it from…

Max: Me either….it’s definitely not a family trait!

*Xanthi looks at the others, all of whom are pointedly looking away, and shakes her head as the scene ends.

*We then head back to ringside as the stage has been set up for the Jonas Brothers performance. The fans in the Birmingham Bowl absolutely eat up Kevin, Joe and Nick’s appearance. We get renditions of “Sucker”, “What a Man Gotta Do” before they move onto “Waffle House” which has every fan up on their feet. The performance is accompanied by pyro displays and as it nears it’s conclusion there seems to be some kind of electronic malfunction….

“Feel it comin' in the air (yeah)
Hear the screams from everywhere (yeah)
I'm addicted to the thrill (I'm ready)
It's a dangerous love affair (what's up? C'mon)

JT: That isn’t a Jonas Brothers song…

RJ: No it’s not…

JT: But I know that song…..and I know who’s theme music that….OH MY GOD IT IS…..HE’S HERE….

RJ: LISTEN TO THIS NOISE….MOVE OVER JONAS BROTHERS…..O’CALLAGHAN IS LIVE IN THE BIRMINGHAM BOWL!

*The cheers ring up through to the rafters as O’Callaghan, dressed in a fur coat and sunglasses, swaggers out onto the stage. He stands in the middle of the Jonas Brothers set and holds his arms wide as the crowd hum the tune of his theme music…..

JT: WHAT AN OVATION…..

RJ: This crowd were loving the Jonas Brothers performance but I think that just got trumped….

JT: You’re damn right….

*Clarissa can be seen hurrying out from the side of the stage with a microphone in hand. She tries not to fangirl over Nick Jonas as he makes her way over to O’Callaghan (who looks like a cross between Conor McGregor and Seth Rollins).

Clarissa: O’Callaghan….

*OC laughs into the microphone

OC: THAT’S RIGHT BABY….THE KING IS BACK!

*Crowd cheer

OC: And let me first say….WHO THE FOOK ARE THESE GUYS?

*He inclines his head to the Jonas Brothers, who look annoyed.

OC: Yeah you heard me, ya little maggots….get off me stage before I punch some talent into ya…

RJ: Good to see his attitude hasn’t changed…

JT: I don’t think it ever will….but this crowd are hyped….they’ve even turned on the Jonas Brothers…

Crowd: (beep) the Jonas x10

OC: Yeah you heard them now get outta here….

*The Jonas Brothers troop off the stage looking despondent

Clarissa: O’Callaghan...you’re back….here live at From the Ashes...why now?

OC: That’s right, babe….this is a red panty night for sure….the KING OF DUBLIN IS BACK IN THIS B!TCH!

*Crowd pop

OC: They rang me….they said OC, our show sucks….our superstars can’t draw a dime….we need the money, baby….we need the cash cow…..we need….you…

And I told them you put some more fat zeroes on that contract and maybe we’ll talk….maybe I’ll grace you with the presence of the best goddamn fighter in the world today...maybe I’ll make this party relevant again…

So here I am….yeah that’s right baby, daddy’s home….

And these little ponces better be worried...they better be pi55ing in their pants because this is the takeover…

Clarissa: And what’s the goal here OC?

OC: What d’ya think? I run this…….I am this….I’m the game….I’m the main event, I’m the money fight….they’re all gonna be quieing up in the back now begging for the payday….well hold your (beeping) hands out and ask the king nicely to grace you with your retirement fund…

Because you’re all done now….this ain’t trash talk, Clarissa...oh no, I’m just out here talking the truth and that’s gonna upset some of these little cry babies but I don’t give a (beep)….you’re on my show now…

So get down on your knees….no not you Clarissa, not now….maybe later...but the rest of you sorry sons of b1tches need to kneel and you need to start praying….bow down to your master…..ack(beeping)knowledge me….

*OC laughs as the crowd go wild

JT: Well O’Callaghan is back and you wanna talk about entrances?

RJ: It was grand arrival….and he has followed that up with his trademark trash talk….but we know he can back it up….this is a monumental moment and I cannot wait to see what happens next….can this night get any bigger?

*The crowd continue to show their love and appreciation as O’Callaghan leads them in a “Daddy’s home” chant.

*An advert plays for a new show on Amazon Prime called Reborn which is former 6CW Champion Robin Reborn doing a whole bunch of endurance challenges (ala Chris Hemsworth). We then go to ringside and Robin Reborn is sat there. He stands and soaks up the adulation of the fans before the camera comes close to him and he shoves it.

Reborn: Don’t crinkle the suit, sucka….(beep) cost more than your salary…

JT: I heard they had an absolute nightmare making that show…

RJ: The challenges so dangerous?

JT: No just with Reborn’s attitude….that isn’t the guy who won the world title at Night of Glory anymore….you know what they say about fame going to someone’s head?

RJ: Oh…

JT: Shame as these fans once adored him….but he won’t be the first or last off-set prima-donna…

RJ: Well let’s just be thankful he no longer wrestles for the company….

GazzyD vs Rex Adamson

JT: If you told me a couple of weeks ago that we’d be seeing this next match tonight I wouldn’t have believed you….

RJ: This one really came about on the last edition of Proving Grounds….GazzyD and Rex Adamson were one of the four teams competing to be involved in the world championship matches here tonight….however they just could not get on the same page and it ended up costing them their opportunity…

JT: Rex blames Gazzy….he believes he had the match in the bag but Gazzy cost them….he told Gazzy as much before Gazzy laid him out in the middle of the ring…

RJ: I think they should share the blame….but I think this one goes even deeper….we know all about the long and intense history between Gazzy and Rex’s uncle Max Adamson….two of the fiercest rivals in 6CW history…..I don’t think it should come as any surprise that these two have crossed paths…

JT: Rex Adamson has come in here with a great amateur record, he’s had a massive fanfare and went 2-0 against former world champions in his first two outings….he made a brash prediction that he would become the youngest and quickest superstar to win a world title but now he blames Gazzy for stopping that from happening….

RJ: Whilst GazzyD’s mind has, quite obviously, been elsewhere….we know Gazzy and his wife, Christy James, are currently estranged…..Christy, however, is now a member of the 6CWF Board, just to complicate matters…

JT: And her “friendship” with Uryu Ishida has continued right in front of Gazzy’s face….a “friendship” that most certainly contributed to the downfall of their marriage in the first place…

RJ: And is now certainly contributing to Gazzy’s growing paranoia…..he has gone on record and basically accused Christy of using her power and influence to stack the deck against him whilst gifting easier runs to Uryu….

JT: It’s been a difficult opening month for Gazzy, no doubt about it…..but he’s gonna need to get his mind in order tonight because his opponent is gunning for him and he isn’t going to let up just because Gazzy is suffering in his personal life…

RJ: Not a chance….Rex and his Uncle Max have made more than a few pointed comments to rile Gazzy….if anything they are using the situation to get under his skin…

“Renegades of Funk” blasts out and is met by boos from the crowd inside the Birmingham Bowl. Rex Adamson makes his way out onto the stage with a cocky grin on his face and then raises his arms as pyros explode behind him…

JT: Only 18 years old but perhaps one of the finest prospects we have ever seen in 6CWF ring….he certainly comes from wrestling royalty and if he goes on to achieve anything close to what his Uncle has then we are looking at a star in the making….

RJ: Rex has high, high hopes for himself….he believes he is already better than Max….he believes he is the best on the roster….

JT: And you can’t knock that kind of confidence…

RJ: But if it moves into overconfidence it can be deadly….Rex did get carried away during last week’s tag match and saw his world title aspirations go up in smoke…

JT: But a win here tonight could swerve him back on track…

Rex takes the towel from around his neck and throws it onto the steel steps before launching up onto the apron and through the ropes. He paces the ring, oozing arrogance, and snaps the straps on his singlet before beckoning for his opponent to come out and fight him…

RJ: Adamson is clearly ready for a battle….is his opponent in the same mindset?

“Limelight” then crashes through the airwaves and is met by majority of cheers from the crowd in attendance. There are a few boos dotted around but the majority of the ovation is positive. Green and silver pyros explode as GazzyD walks through the smoke…

JT: No trapdoor tonight….no leaping entrance from GazzyD…

RJ: And still one or two boos in the audience, which is practically unheard of for Mr 6CW….

JT: Gazzy’s comments regarding Christy and Uryu have certainly upset some of the fans….but in the main he still retains the overall favour of the audience….they would love to see the “History Maker” push himself back toward the main event….

RJ: And if he gets his mind together then he can….Gazzy has made a career off of defying the odds and overcoming the biggest and best opposition in the world…..Gazzy has literally overcome some of the very best in history, including a very famous Australian superstar whose nephew he is about to face tonight….

Gazzy climbs up onto the apron and steps through the ropes. Rex is pacing and talking trash as the referee keeps them apart…

JT: Rex is still looking to get in Gazzy’s head….he hasn’t stopped running his mouth since Gazzy came out here…

RJ: I guess it runs in the family….

JT: Gazzy needs to block that out and get on his game….if he’s on form then this could be a very humbling night for the young Rex Adamson….

RJ: Or he could be about to add another huge scalp to his resume….

Rex gets up in Gazzy’s face as the bell sounds to start the match. He is talking to Gazzy as the cameras zooms in on their exchange…

Rex: You’re an old, has-been….you don’t belong here anymore….this is my ring, my time...you screwed my chances but not again….you need to take your old a55 out of here, and don’t worry I don’t mind showing Christy what a prime…

JT: GAZZY’S HEARD ENOUGH!

The crowd cheer as Gazzy suddenly cracks Rex with a big right hand. He follows up with backhand chops to the chest and then grabs Rex’s arm. He looks for an Irish whip but Adamson is too strong and he reverses….Gazzy comes back and he ducks under Rex’s attack before hitting the opposite ropes and diving through the air with a headscissors takedown…

RJ: That’s a bit more like what we expect to see from the great GazzyD….

Adamson gets up, looking annoyed, and he swings a big time club at Gazzy but the former world champion ducks with ease and springboards onto the ropes before floating back with a crossbody…

JT: But there’s that youthful strength at play….

Rex catches Gazzy in his arms and then he drills him with a rib-breaker before hoisting Gazzy onto his shoulders. He runs him forward for a powerslam but Gazzy drops behind and he shoves Rex into the turnbuckle before grabbing the back of his head as he staggers out, planting with an “edge’o’matic”. Gazzy staggers up to the turnbuckle…

RJ: Split-legged….

Rex ploughs his knees up and they connect with Gazzy’s midsection, sending him rolling away to the opposite side of the ring. Adamson gets back up to his feet and he lets out a roar…

JT: GORE!

RJ: Looking for a page out of Uncle Max’s book….

JT: But Gazzy knows that move well…

Gazzy sidesteps at the final second and sends Rex crashing against the turnbuckle. He then runs off the adjacent ropes and returns with a slingblade takedown. Gazzy ushers Rex back up and kicks him in the gut…

RJ: DEEP IMPACT!

Adamson swipes Gazzy’s legs and he catapults him to the corner. Gazzy lands on the middle turnbuckle and then he leaps onto the top before twisting back with an impressive tornado DDT takedown…

JT: So far the veteran GazzyD has an answer for everything that Rex Adamson is attempting…

RJ: The young gun having some misfires…

Gazzy gets to his feet and he listens to the cheers of the crowd, bringing a small smile to his face, and then he stalks Rex’s movements. He tries to pull him up….

JT: HISTORY MAKER!

Rex spins free of Gazzy’s grip and pushes him into the turnbuckle. He chases in but Gazzy spins around the ropes and nails a kick over the top (ala Christian). Gazzy climbs up high and dives through the air…

RJ: REX CAUGHT HIM!

Gazzy looks for a flying hurricanrana but Rex stops the move and then he launches Gazzy up and throws him against the opposite turnbuckle with a “buckle” bomb. Gazzy staggers out into a huge overhead belly to belly suplex…

JT: Now Rex is finding his feet…..that strength can turn momentum in his favour….

Gazzy is stunned as Rex whips him off the ropes and he pops him into the air before drilling with a Samoan drop as he comes down out of the air…………..1……………..2………...kickout. Rex is talking trash as he beckons Gazzy up and then he swings him into his shoulders….

RJ: FIRE AND THUNDER….

JT: DOWNTOWN!

Gazzy scrambles off Rex’s back and attempts the “skull crushing finale” but shows amazing strength to sidestep and swing him up on his shoulders before running him into a powerslam. Rex underhooks Gazzy’s arms and drags him to the centre of the ring before flipping him into a huge sit-down powerbomb….

RJ: GazzyD is now feeling firsthand what Rex can do….

Rex is pointing down at Gazzy and asking the crowd “This is what you cheer for?” before he pulls him back up. He lifts him into a suplex position and he holds Gazzy there for twenty seconds, demonstrating his strength….

JT: Rex Adamson is certainly a fine athlete….he is literally at the beginning of his journey and already so skilled…..

Rex stands and he flexes his biceps as the boos ring out. He drags Gazzy up and pushes him against the ropes before unloading with brutal backhand chops (ala WALTER) that have the crowd wincing….

RJ: My lord, look at how red Gazzy’s chest is…

Gazzy is doubled over from the pain as Rex grabs his wrist. He whips him toward the opposite ropes and Gazzy comes back and ducks under a clothesline before handspringing off the ropes…

JT: Right into Rex’s arms….that is frightening….

Rex catches Gazzy in a cradle, laughing as he does so, and then just launches him backwards in a modified suplex. Gazzy is hurting as he gets back up and Rex drags him into a brutal short-armed lariat………………..1……………..2…………..shoulder up!

RJ: Rex’s power is making all the difference here now….he’s slowed Gazzy’s momentum and is making him suffer with heavy duty moves….

Rex waits for Gazzy to get back up again and then he lifts him into a bearhug. Gazzy tries to struggle against Rex’s grip but he is too strong. He ragdolls Gazzy from side to side, really crushing the air out of him…

JT: Rex is in the driving seat now….he’s weakened Gazzy with his arsenal and now he’s trying to squeeze whatever is left out of him…

Gazzy is trying to push at Rex’s head and pull himself free but Adamson tightens his grip and really squeezes at the spine of Gazzy. Gazzy’s head slumps against Adamson’s shoulder as the referee moves in to check on his condition…

RJ: Gazzy may have passed out here….he’s taken some real damage…

Gazzy is clearly struggling as the referee grabs his arm and raises it….he lets go and it drops but at the very last second Gazzy pushes his arm back up into the air and tries to regain his fight….

JT: Gazzy not giving up in a hurry….giving up has never been his thing….

RJ: He’s fighting with his all here…..doing whatever he has to…

Gazzy still isn’t quite strong enough to break Rex’s grip so he does the only thing he can and claps both hands across Adamson’s ear, shattering his equilibrium. Rex releases and staggers away as Gazzy sucks in deep gulps of air and then wipes Rex off of his feet with a spinning heel kick. Adamson gets back up as Gazzy springboards off the ropes with a moonsault takedown, drawing cheers from the crowd….

JT: Gazzy’s whole history has been about overcoming the odds….fighting against adversity when few believed he could….and tonight he is trying to turn back the clock again….

Rex gets to his feet again and stumbles to the corner as Gazzy sprints in and lands a big time whipping enzeguiri to the temple (ala Alberto Del Rio). Rex falls flat on his face and then rolls over on his back as Gazzy grabs the top rope…

RJ: STARSHIP PAIN!

JT: Full impact…

Cheers ring out inside the arena as Gazzy crashes down on top of Rex and he hooks the legs………………...1…………………...2……………...Rex reaches out and manages to get his hand on the bottom rope!

RJ: Mistake from Gazzy?

JT: I think he underestimated Rex’s reach...he hooked the leg but didn’t cover the arm properly…

Gazzy uses the ropes to pull himself up and he takes in another gulp of air before ushering Rex to his feet. He drives a big kick into the stomach and hooks the arms of his opponent…

RJ: DEEP IMP…

Rex fights back to the ropes and he backdrops Gazzy over the top rope and onto the apron. Gazzy lands on his feet and he nails a step-up kick to the jaw of Rex, staggering him backward. Gazzy then grips the ropes and springboards back in….

JT: Rex moved….IMPACT!

Rex throws himself into a sideways roll which causes Gazzy to land and throw himself into a forward roll toward the corner. Gazzy gets back up and turns around as Adamson thunders into him with a shotgun dropkick that sends Gazzy crashing back into the turnbuckle, dropping into a seated position. Rex then charges in and lands a brutal cannonball splash to his seated opponent...he pulls Gazzy away from the ropes...

RJ: Rex just threw all of that 265lb frame at GazzyD..

Rex then begins climbing the ropes and he reaches the top. He looks down at Gazzy and then begins to walk along the ropes toward the middle…

JT: I have no idea what Rex is thinking here….but for a big man he does not look out of his depth….

RJ: WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT!

Gazzy, although hurting, is back up and he amazingly runs to the ropes and leaps up onto the middle of the top rope before pulling Rex off into a frontwards twist of fate, slamming him face-first into the canvass…..Gazzy rolls him over and drops across his chest….

JT: That might just do it….incredible improvisation from GazzyD….

RJ: That’s why they call him the “Human highlight reel”….

RJ: So, so close…

Rex just gets his shoulder up off the mat before the referee touches down for three, much to the disdain of GazzyD. Adamson rolls toward the ropes and to the outside as Gazzy takes a moment…

JT: I think Gazzy felt he had that one the bag…..but Rex Adamson, despite his lack of years, showed serious resiliency there…

RJ: GazzyD isn’t going to sit back though…

Gazzy sprints to the ropes and dives to the bottom rope with a baseball slide to the back that knocks Adamson down in the aisleway. Gazzy then gets back up and he runs off the opposite side before diving under the bottom rope (ala Rey Mysterio) into a splash across Adamson’s chest….

JT: Gazzy turning up the speed again here….

Adamson gets up, holding his midsection, and then Gazzy climbs onto the ringside barrier and he dives off with a headscissors which sends Rex tumbling forward…..BOOM!

RJ: Adamson seeing stars now….

Rex’s head smashes into the steel steps and then Gazzy drags him up and chucks him under the bottom rope. Gazzy pulls himself onto the apron….

JT: SPRINGBOARD 450!

Flashbulbs go off as Gazzy flips through the air and crashes down onto Adamson’s chest…

RJ: I’ve seen GazzyD win world title matches with that very move…

Gazzy grabs Rex by the head and pulls him up into an inverted DDT position….

Gazzy spins for the inverted “twist of fate” but Rex spins his own body and locks his hands around Gazzy’s waist before launching him into a huge German suplex. He keeps his arms locked and drags Gazzy back up and then releases and slams a forearm across the back of his neck before ducking under his leg and lifts him into an electric chair position….

RJ: What is he planning here….OH MY!

JT: Sensational!

Rex drops Gazzy through the air and catches him on the way down into a sickening bridged German suplex (Croyt’s Wrath)….

RJ: Gazzy just edged his shoulder off the mat….but man that was close….

JT: Sensational back and forth contest here…..Gazzy showing he’s still got it and Rex Adamson showing he’s a star in the making….

Rex makes his way to the corner and he crouches down as he beckons for Gazzy to stand up. He watches his every move and then he sprints forward….

RJ: GORE!

Gazzy counters with a dropkick out of nowhere. He pulls Rex back up into position….

JT: HISTORY MAKER….HE GOT HIM!

More cheers ring out as Gazzy secures the inverted “twist of fate” that blasts Rex into the canvass……………...one…

RJ: Gazzy is looking around here and you can see he’s starting to question himself…..what does it take?

JT: Rex Adamson was talking big, he got under Gazzy’s skin….but he’s backing it up now, it can’t be denied…

Rex has rolled on his knees and he can be heard saying to Gazzy “Is that all you’ve got? No wonder Christy left you….you can’t even finish the job….pathetic”…….Gazzy looks enraged and he gets back up and hooks Rex’s arms, pulling him up…

JT: Gazzy has heard enough of Rex’s mouth…..DEEP IMPACT!

Rex battles against Gazzy’s grip and then swipes his legs. He catapults him toward the corner but Gazzy lands out on the ropes again and he leaps up top before twisting back…

RJ: He caught him…..that is quite impressive…

Even the fans have to applaud as Rex catches Gazzy and then bench presses him over his head. He spins him around and then drops him through the air into a modified spinebuster/spear (ala Goldberg)…..Gazzy is clutching his ribs as he stumbles….

JT: Gazzy has taken a lot of damage to that body….

RJ: GORE….AND THAT’S THE EXCLAMATION POINT!

There are shocked faces inside of the Birmingham Bowl as Rex Adamson almost spears Gazzy right out of his boots as he tears across the ring. He drops his arm over Gazzy’s chest…

RJ: I think we may chalk this one up to youthful exuberance and naivety….

JT: Huh?

RJ: Gazzy’s foot is on the bottom rope….Adamson has taken so much out of himself as well as his opponent that he didn’t have the wherewithal to check…

Rex raises a solitary arm in the air, believing he has won, but the referee indicates to him that Gazzy’s foot is on the bottom rope. We then get a shot of Max Adamson, joined by Jackson Jackson, Frank Horrigan, Xanthi Rose and Marlon at ringside. They look disappointed…

JT: I think Rex’s entourage was ready to celebrate a first premium event victory….

RJ: And they would have had it if Rex’s energy levels were a little higher….he’s thrown GazzyD a lifeline here….

Rex leans against the ropes and we can hear Max Adamson yelling at him to “finish the job”. Rex nods his head and he lowers the straps on his singlet before beckoning Gazzy back up. Gazzy is clearly hurting as he struggles up and he is easily lifted onto Adamson’s shoulders….

JT: Rex nails the “Fire/Thunder” Driver and this is over, no doubts…

RJ: I think he may be experiencing a tiny amount of doubt….he’s in there with a man who just will not quit…..HERE WE GO!

Gazzy kicks his legs furiously and he manages to drop behind Rex and pulls him into a half nelson…

JT: DOWNTOWN….HE GOT HIM!

Gazzy crashes Rex into the canvass with the “skull crushing finale” and he makes the cover….

RJ: What is it going to take? What does either of these men have to do in order to keep the other down?

JT: I said before the match that this wasn’t one we were expecting here at “From the Ashes” but boy has it delivered beyond all expectations?

RJ: But can either of them find the finishing touch?

Gazzy is sat again, looking starry eyed, before pushing himself up to a standing position. He looks out at the crowd and then over at Rex’s supporters before turning his attention back to his opponent. Rex is slow to rise but eventually he does so and walks right into Gazzy’s path…

JT: This is the move that has taken GazzyD to the highest of heights…..DEEP IMPACT!

Rex swivels free but keeps hold of Gazzy’s arm and drags him forward, he pops Gazzy up into the air but Gazzy amazingly counters in midair with a dragonrana takedown…

They scramble back up and Gazzy sidesteps Rex and uses his momentum to push him against the ropes. He then snaps off a superkick to Rex’s jaw, stunning him, before rushing at him. Rex lowers his shoulder and backdrops Gazzy over the top rope before stumbling away….

RJ: Rex thinks he has bought himself a moment….but Gazzy is hanging on….all he has to do is “skin the cat” and he has a free run…

Gazzy clings to the ropes and is about to pull himself back up and over the top when he sees a sign in the crowd that says “Uryu & Christy are a match made in heaven”…..Gazzy’s eyes narrow and he looks genuinely shocked by the sign….he closes his eyes and takes a deep breath before “skinning the cat”….

JT: HE WAITED TOO LONG….REX WAS WAITING….

RJ: FIRE & THUNDER DRIVER!

Rex is waiting as Gazzy flips over the top rope and he catches him on his shoulders before walking him to the centre and drills him with the version of the “Samoan” driver into the canvass…

RJ: It’s done….

JT: It is done…..what a match….what a showing between these two…

RJ: Gazzy lost his focus….he completely zoned out for just a couple of seconds and that was all it took…..he went from being in prime position for a finish to getting finished…

JT: And Rex Adamson capitalised…..he said himself that Gazzy’s mind wasn’t on the job and I guess he’s been proved right…..Rex Adamson in his first ever premium live event has knocked off “Mr 6CW” himself….he has pinned GazzyD…

RJ: And that makes three former world champions that he has vanquished in just over a month…..I’d say that was impressive…

There is applause from the crowd at what they have just watched but boos too for Rex as he has his arm raised in victory. He grabs the camera and pulls it close to his face, we can see his allies celebrating in the front row of the crowd…

Rex: I told you all….never in doubt…..I’m the future of this business!

JT: Rex Adamson, like him or not, has backed it up here tonight at “From the Ashes”….eighteen years old and he just defeated one of the greats…

RJ: He did….we can analyse GazzyD’s mindset until the cows come home but the fact is that he lost and Adamson won….Rex was the better man here tonight, he talked big but he delivered…

JT: And for GazzyD….well I don’t know what to say….we knew he was struggling….we know he has a lot on his plate….but I think his personal issues are clearly affecting him a damn sight more than he is letting on…

Rex Adamson climbs from the ring and high fives his Uncle before hugging Xanthi. He celebrates with the members of The TA before swaggering into the aisleway, raising his arms again. GazzyD is just sitting up on the canvass and looks devastated by what has happened…

RJ: Very contrasting emotions here in Birmingham….but I’m sure Rex Adamson’s celebrations are just beginning?

JT: And Gazzy?

RJ: I really don’t know….

*We get a final shot of Eddy Kent standing in his changing room. Alex Walker is stood behind him.

Walker: And the winner of this match…...Eddy Kent!

*Kent smirks and nods his head

Walker: Remember from day one…..I knew what you could do and what you would become….now go out there and show them…no remorse!

*Kent nods his head again and then walks out of the room. Walker watches him leave with a knowing smile.

*Scene change and Cameron Faith is shown leaving his locker-room. Kristal approaches and she’s cooing to him about coming up short in his match. But now she wants to go and celebrate and party. Faith thinks about it and then he tells her to go it alone, he wants to rebuild his career. She looks at him in disgust and walks away, telling him that he’ll always be a failure.

*Mike Hill is shown standing in front of a mirror with the European Championship around his waist. He is sporting a few cuts and bruises but he is looking as arrogant as ever.

Hill: Because I am that damn good….

*Suddenly Lex Hart storms into the shot and cracks Hill with a right hand that drops him. Hill tries to scramble up but Hart is on top of him and driving down punches as security and referees storm into the shot to separate them. Lex is dragged away as Hill sits on the floor, a busted lip to show for it. A backstage runner tries to help him up but he slaps their hand away

Hill: How dare you try and touch the champ….

*Hill gets back up and he readjusts the title belt around his waist. He shouts after Hart

Hill: You’ll never be on my level, Hart….never!

*Geoff Steel is shown talking with members of the backstage crew. They commiserate with him for coming up short in the Time Attack match.

Steel: I appreciate it, guys….it was a close one….but I’ll come back stronger…..next time….

*Steel turns away from them and finds his way barred by Rex Adamson

Rex: Next time? Geoff there isn’t going to be a next time….no offence mate, but just like Gazzy earlier...you’re done….it’s time to move it along….you did pretty well once upon a time, probably overachieved let’s be honest…..but I am here now, your looking at the future…

Steel: Funny….because there was me thinking I was looking at a cheap Max rip off…

*Rex swells with annoyance at the comment

Rex: You’ve done good mate, really for a guy with practically no skill...bravo….but step aside now eh, before it becomes embarrassing…

Steel: The only thing embarrassing right now is your tone…..look “mate” I won’t be stepping aside for anyone...you’ve got a problem with me being here? Then do something about it…

*Steel and Rex glare at one another as the scene comes to an end

*Final scene change of this section and Scott Harris is doing sit ups ahead of the submission match. He stands up, showcasing his ripped torso, before placing the straps of his singlet over his shoulders. Tyler Roth walks in and the two men shake hands and hug

Harris: Unlucky, brother….but next time, next time you’ll get him…

*Roth nods his head and then pushes Harris in the chest

Roth: Now is your time...we haven’t been training our a55es off for years just so we can get left behind….so get out there and show this (beeper) that 6CWF Needs More Harris…

*The crowd roar as Harris nods his head at his friend and then walks toward the Gorilla position.

Michael Bird: Ladies and gentlemen…..the following contest is scheduled for one fall and will be contested under SUBMISSION RULES…...with NO TIME LIMIT!

*Crowd pop

JT: Here we go folks….The Trilogy….

RJ: One of the most anticipated fights of the night without any doubts….Eddy Kent and Scott Harris have been at loggerheads since night one of Proving Grounds…

JT: They have gone toe to toe twice already and on both occasions the fifteen minute time limit has saved the skin of one of the competitors…

RJ: First time out it was Scott Harris, who had seemingly passed out to the “Kentlock”….

JT: Then two weeks later it was Eddy Kent, who not only tapped to the “Sharpshooter” whilst the ref was down but he was down for the three count when the claxon sounded…

RJ: The issues between the two men then went further last time out when their inability to co-exist cost them a chance at competing for a world title here tonight…

JT: Which prompted a final decision and rightful decision from the 6CWF Board….a third and final meeting between the two…..no time limits to ensure a winner….and also pure submission rules….which means no disqualifications either…

RJ: But I am assured that there are rope breaks….

JT: How can they be enforced without a DQ?

RJ: Trust JJ Johnson to think of a way...he told me earlier that if either men flouted the rules and refused to acknowledge rope breaks, he would ban them from championship matches for the next three months…

JT: Wow…

RJ: No kidding…..JJ wants a top quality match but he wants some semblance of order…

JT: Submission rules, although we see submissions every week, are a rare entity in pro wrestling and usually only saved for the biggest and most intense rivalries…

RJ: Perfect Jack and Lex Hart…

JT: Perfect Jack and Daniel Reilly….

RJ: I think the great Abe Abercorn was involved in a couple of these two…

JT: But since 6WF’s creation in 2007 and 6CW in 2009, I think you’d be pushed to find more than a handful of these…

“Succession” plays out and is met by unanimous boos from the crowd inside of Birmingham. Eddy Kent appears on the stage as golden pyros erupt all around him and he raises his arms into the air, as though proclaiming himself as some kind of royalty. He smirks, arrogantly, at the reception he is receiving from the crowd and then makes his way to the ring…

JT: Where do you start with the Eddy Kent story?

RJ: Hand-picked and signed by Alex Walker in 2011….a key member of the illustrious Genesis stable that ran one of the most successful periods in 6CW history….Kent was a Tag Team & International Champion during that time….he then made the move to 6WF and became a world champion and staple of the main event scene…

JT: Since then Kent has been all around the globe, showcasing his abilities….there is no doubt he is one of the best in the last decade….there is no doubts he is still capable of being the best of this generation….but first he must deal with Scott Harris….

RJ: Kent was once adored by these fans, he played on it...he fed off of their energy…..but no more….in his latter years he has become cerebral and much more introverted with his personality….

JT: Kent no longer wants to be a showman, he just wants to be the best….

RJ: And with Alex Walker as a member of the 6CWF Board and the fact that he and Kent are quite clearly still very close….I’d say opportunities for this man, as long as he keeps winning, will be easy to come by…

JT: Walker will certainly use his influence….he has believed in Kent from day one….

Kent is up in the ring and he is using the ropes to perform some last minute stretches before “Figure it out” erupts through the airwaves and the fans in attendance rise to their feet in unison, going wild for the arrival of “The Sharpshooter”….

RJ: What an ovation for Scott Harris…

We see plenty of “Needs more Harris” signs in the crowd as the aforementioned strides out onto the stage. Pyros erupt behind him as he lowers his hood and drinks in the atmosphere all around. He nods in appreciation of the support but his eyes are fixed upon the ring and Eddy Kent….

JT: One of the biggest “prospects” ever produced by 6CW…...Harris is still the talk of the “Snake Pit” development centre that he graduated from a decade ago, they had never seen a talent like his….he then arrived in 6CW, carrying the burden of that prospect tag, and it seemed as though nothing would stop him…..he won the 6CW Tag Titles with Mike Masters and soon found himself in the main event scene….but injuries came about and perhaps a loss of focus….Harris has been in and out of pro wrestling for some time now but has never reached the dizzy heights that were once expected of him…

RJ: But this last month I believe we have seen that fire, fire that has been missing for nearly a decade….Harris is older sure but he’s more refined and his talent is still exceptional…..the two drawn bouts with Eddy Kent showed us all that Scott Harris is a big time player here in 6CWF….

JT: A technical master and a submission artist….Scott Harris has “still got it” and if he wins here tonight against Kent, putting this feud to bed, then I believe he can go all the way and finally achieve the kind of accolades that we all believed he would….

RJ: These two, without a doubt, are elite level….this is a fantastic matchup and we are so lucky that this is the third time we get to see it in a month….sometimes you see a match too often, it gets overdone...but the styles of these two men gel so well, they compliment each other in every way and they push each other to step up their performance levels….I really am expecting something special here…

JT: This has all the makings of a “match of the night”…..

RJ: Which is why I believe we have the stipulations…..JJ Johnson and the 6CWF Board want to see these men fight until it’s settled….they want the crowd to get their money’s worth…

Harris is in the ring now as the referee moves in between to keep them separated. They glare at one another from opposite sides of the ring as the referee talks them through his instructions and expectations. He then checks them for concealed weapons before he signals for the bell to get the bout underway…

JT: And this is it…..Eddy Kent versus Scott Harris III, submission rules only….no time limit….there will be a winner….

The bell sounds and the crowd cheer. The referee takes a step back and that allows Harris and Kent to go nose to nose. They trade words, their eyes never blinking, and then they begin to fire right hands…

RJ: This is gonna be a fight at times, no doubt, but there will be technical class involved too...these two are going to have to out think one another…

Harris’ punches carry slightly more weight and he rattles Kent back on his heels but then Kent scores back with a knee to the stomach. Kent grabs the wrist of Harris and twists it before wrenching it down. He manipulates the fingers of Harris whilst his arm is turned behind and then he drops to one knee and crashes Harris’ elbow against it…

JT: That’s our first sign of either man trying to unhinge a body part….

RJ: Kent knows that Harris likes to lift, he likes to suplex….without a working arm, that goes away…

Kent grabs the wrist of Harris again, who is now on his knees, and he applies a standing armlock, placing his body against Harris and pulling up on the arm at the same time. Harris yells in pain but immediately tells the referee he isn’t interested in giving up. Harris gets back on his feet and he uses his free hand to grab at the back of Kent’s head. Harris then slams punches into the back of Kent until he releases…

JT: Both of these men are going to put it on one another tonight….the same way they have twice before….

Kent comes back and Harris scoops him into his arms before dropping him with a heavy pendulum backbreaker. He kneels for a second before grabbing the legs of Kent, trying to turn him over…

RJ: This is exactly what Kent wants to avoid…

Kent thrashes from side to side, desperate to avoid being turned, and then he kicks out with both feet so that Harris falls back into the corner. Kent gets back up and he runs into the corner but Harris drives out with a heavy elbow to the jaw, staggering Kent, and then he lifts himself onto the second rope…..Harris leaps off for an axe handle but Kent gets his boot up into the midsection before spiking Harris on his head with a DDT…

JT: Kent starting to move toward the head and neck….this is where he attempts to soften Harris up for the “Kent Lock”….

Kent gets to his feet and he stomps down on the head and neck of Harris before hoisting him and shoving against the middle ropes. Harris is slumped there as Kent runs off the opposite ropes and returns with a diving splash (ala Big Bossman) which slams all the bodyweight into the back of Harris’ neck. Kent stands over Harris, who is on his knees, and then he drops on top of him and attempts to roll him over into a grounded sleeper…

RJ: Kent trying to get his hooks in here….if he can keep Harris grounded here and gets his arms locked under the chin of Harris then he will go to sleep in seconds….

Harris is trying his best to struggle and fight as Kent attempts to wrap his arms around the neck and across the windpipe. Harris is doing everything he can to keep Kent’s arms from tightening…

JT: Harris can see defeat right in front of his face….

Harris turns on his backside and he pushes his feet out so that they come to rest on the bottom rope, which prompts the referee to call for Kent to release…

RJ: Remember what we said about rope breaks….

JT: Kent doesn’t have to listen and he could take the win but he won’t get any title shots for three months….do you think that would be worth it to him?

Kent looks at the referee in disgust as the count begins before finally relinquishing on the count of four. Harris pulls himself to the bottom rope and rolls out to the outside as Kent follows him…

RJ: Kent annoyed and you can understand his frustration but those are the rules that were put in place….rules that both men were aware of…

Kent grabs Harris and then he leaps over the barricade into the front of the crowd, dropping Harris’ throat across the railing. Harris is on the floor, spluttering, as Kent stands in the front row of the crowd, raising his arms to the booing masses…

JT: Kent settling now….he’s enjoying this….

Kent climbs back over the railing and he watches Scott Harris crawling toward the steel steps. Kent has a smirk on his face and then he runs forwards…..BOOM!

RJ: That could have ended things….

Harris moves at the last second as Kent boots the steel steps and dislodges the top part of the bottom section. Kent is momentarily holding his leg as Harris grabs him and lifts him into the air before dropping him with a kneebreaker across the top of the steel steps….

JT: That’s how switched on these two men are, they see an opportunity at every turn…

Kent is writhing in pain on the floor as Harris grabs his leg and pulls him toward the ringside barrier. He lifts the leg up to rest it on top of the barricade before climbing up on top of it as well. Harris then leaps off and he stomps down on the back of Kent’s knee…

RJ: That might just have blown the whole of Eddy Kent’s knee….

Kent is clutching his leg, howling in agony, as Harris attempts to drag him up and dump him in the ring. Kent clings to the ring apron and he reaches out to jab the eyes of Harris, getting him to back off…

JT: Kent buying himself a momentary reprieve but it is only momentary…..that doesn’t help Kent’s knee at all…

Kent pulls himself into the ring and tries to pull himself up by using the ropes but it is clear he is in a lot of pain. Harris is already back in the ring and he thunders in behind Kent, taking out his knee with a chopblock. Harris stomps on the injured area and then he places the leg on the bottom rope and leaps into the air, driving his bodyweight down on top of it….

RJ: Harris may be the best submission artist in the game...and he has a very clear target to aim for here….

Kent is yelling in agony as Harris then drags him away from the ropes by the injured knee and then turns him over into a single legged Boston Crab. Kent’s shouts of pain fill the air as Harris sits right into the hold and turns the pressure up to full…

JT: Kent is in big, big trouble here…..Harris has caused untold damage to that knee and now he has a submission applied that will only exacerbate that further…

Kent continues to yell out but he shakes his head whenever the referee asks him if he wants to quit. Harris’ face is a picture of focus and drive as he continues to pull back on the leg…

RJ: Kent would see this as a big setback to his 6CWF career but he needs to think this through…..anyone can bounce back from a defeat, no matter how damaging it can seem at the time….but a long term injury that could be suffered from a prolonged period in this hold could set him back so much further…

Kent’s fingernails are scraping the canvass as he tries to fight his way across the ring. He gets himself closer to the ropes and reaches out but Harris pulls him back further, sitting right into the submission once more…

JT: Kent thought he was closing in there….but he is still so far away, I think he needs to consider his options…

RJ: And this one hasn’t even gone close to the fifteen minutes that the previous two bouts did…

JT: Harris is a man possessed tonight….

Kent’s hand shakes as he considers his options but then he screams “NO” as he summons strength from his back and arms to drag himself across the ring and grasp the bottom rope…

RJ: Same thing applies to Scott Harris now….break the hold or your chances of competing for a title disappear….

JT: Eddy Kent just showed some real bottle to fight through that pain…

Harris stands with his hands on his hips for a moment and then he moves back toward Kent. He stomps down on his back several times before grabbing his legs and pulls him back toward centre ring….

RJ: Harris is going to try to go back for the kill…

*Crowd boo

JT: Unfortunately there are no rules on that…

Harris pulls Kent towards the centre for another submission but Kent kicks out with his good leg, slamming it right between Harris’ legs and leaving him to fall in a heap on the canvass. Both men are down, struggling with the pace and the damage that has already been inflicted…

RJ: These two men have already caused a lot of damage to one another….they have showed how much they want this win….what else can they do to one another?

Kent is trying to beat some life into his knee before dragging himself toward the ropes and pulling himself up. Harris is clearly winded from the low blow but he is the first to reach his feet and he makes his way toward Kent, grabbing him around the waist….

JT: Harris wants to start using his suplex game…

Harris tries to pull Kent away from the ropes for a German suplex but Kent swings his head backward and collides with the face of Harris. Harris stumbles away, bent over, and Kent rushes into him with a big boot to the temple with his good leg. Harris tries to get up in the corner as Kent runs in again with a brutal facewash kick (ala Matt Cardona)….

RJ: Every one of those kicks causes Harris’ neck to snap back….weakening it….

Kent stands for a moment, breathing heavy, and then he climbs from the ring. Harris’ head is under the bottom rope as Kent grabs it…

JT: What the hell is Kent thinking here? OH LORD….

RJ: That could have broken it….

Kent suddenly swings Harris’ head so that the side of his neck connects with the ringpost. The crowd are grimacing and looking concerned…

JT: Eddy Kent doesn’t give a damn if Scott Harris’ neck breaks…..he wants the W, that is the only thing that matters to him….

Harris slumped over the apron, unresponsive, as the referee climbs out to talk to him. Kent then begins to lift up the covers off the concrete floor….

RJ: And what now…..what is Eddy Kent doing?

JT: He is taking full advantage of the no disqualification rule…

RJ: But this could see the end of Scott Harris’ damn career….

The referee is trying to speak and remonstrate with Eddy Kent over his actions but Kent shoves the official away. He grabs Harris’ head and places it between his legs….

JT: He’s going to pull Harris off the apron here and piledrive him on the concrete…..

RJ: This really will break his neck….

Kent attempts the piledriver but Harris steps off the apron at the final moment and swipes Kent’s legs, causing the back of his head to land on the concrete. Harris looks furious at what Kent was about to do and then he drops back and catapults Kent right into the ringpost…

JT: Kent’s head just collided with solid steel…..AND HOW ABOUT THAT!

Crowd: Holy (beep) x10

Kent is practically out on his feet from hitting the steel and then Harris gets up and wraps his arms around the waist of Kent before launching him into the ringside barrier with a release German suplex. Harris drags Kent back up and slings him back in the ring…

RJ: Scott Harris is a serious bada55 but the idea that someone was going to break his neck on purpose has really lit a fire under him…

Harris gets up on the apron and then he scales the ropes. Kent is down in the ring, on his front, as Harris launches through the air and lands a frogsplash to the back…..he pushes Kent over on his front and then he turns him over into the “sharpshooter”….

JT: And here it is…..the same move that Harris used to make Kent tap out a couple of weeks ago….

RJ: Harris is deadly with this submission…..he is a master of this hold…

JT: And he has already done so much damage to the back and knee of Eddy Kent….this really could be all she wrote…

Kent’s screams fill the air as Harris sits right into the hold, extending the pressure up the spine. The referee is kneeling next to Kent and asking him if he wants to quit….

RJ: Eddy Kent has already shown plenty of spirit tonight, that cannot be denied...but I’m not sure he can take a whole lot more….Scott Harris is in a phenomenal position right now…

Kent tries to do everything he can to fight and crawl toward the ropes but Harris’ grip is strong and the submission is tight. Kent’s yells become less and less pronounced as his head starts to dip and then his face falls against the canvass…

JT: The pain may have been too much to handle for Eddy Kent….I think he’s passed out…

RJ: What call is made here?

JT: He’s done…..Harris will be the winner…

The referee looks concerned as he takes the left arm of Eddy Kent and lifts it up….he lets it go and it drops to the canvass…...the referee repeats the process and the arm of Kent drops again….

RJ: We know the drill by now….the timekeeper is ready with the bell…

JT: Kent’s arm falls again and this one is done…

The referee holds Kent’s arm up for a third time before letting go. The arm drops toward the canvass before it finds some fight and pushes back up…

RJ: Kent’s still in this one….say what you want, dislike the man all you want but he is teak tough….

Kent is conscious and his yells of agony fill the air once again. He arches his back upwards and then starts to crawl on his hands toward the ropes...Scott Harris is still sitting right into the submission….

JT: I think even Scott Harris is surprised that Kent is fighting that….

Kent is near the ropes but then he reaches out and misses. He sags against the canvass again as the fans in attendance wait with baited breath….

RJ: Kent has been valiant but I think this time is enough…..DAMN, HE’S DONE IT AGAIN!

The referee is asking Kent if he’s done but then Kent grabs him by the front of the shirt, and pulls the official forwards….the referee trips forward and collides with Harris, forcing him to relinquish the submission….

JT: Last time Kent used the referee and threw him out of the ring…..this time he’s used the referee as a battering ram…

RJ: Harris cannot believe it…

Harris turns on his heel and he looks thunderous as he confronts the referee and asks him what he’s playing at. The official is telling him that he didn’t mean to and that Kent pulled him….Harris is shaking his head in disbelief and then turns to see Kent, hugging the bottom rope….

JT: Harris can’t believe it….he had the win in the bag there surely…..

Kent pulls himself under and stumbles away to the ringside barrier as Harris pushes past the referee and climbs out. He clatters Kent from behind and then he grabs his arm and attempts to whip him toward the steel steps….

BOOM!

RJ: That may have just backfired big time….OH MY LORD!

Kent throws his arms out and he blocks his impact into the steel steps. He quickly turns and sidesteps, sending Harris crashing, head-first, against the solid steel. Kent then quickly drags Harris away to the still exposed concrete and he piledrivers him on top..

JT: Harris’ neck may be snapped….first the impact against the steel steps and then the piledriver on the concrete….

RJ: Harris needs checking on…..he could be out cold…

JT: Kent is as ruthless as they come…

Kent sits on the floor for a moment and he smirks as the crowd boo his actions. He gets back up and then he hoists Harris up, ignoring the referee’s pleas for medical attention, before rolling his foe inside…

RJ: Scott Harris needs help here….

The referee is trying to talk with Scott Harris, who is on his knees, but Kent kicks him away and then grabs Harris’ head under his armpit and drops into the guillotine…

JT: Kent Lock applied here….Scott Harris’ neck must be in utter agony here….

Kent has his legs wrapped around the waist of Harris and is really pulling back on his head, a fevered look on his face. He is demanding the referee “ask him” over and over again…

RJ: Harris may not verbally tap out, his pride may not allow it, but he must be on the edge of consciousness….the official needs to make a big call here…

The official is asking Harris if he wants to quit but there is no response from him. The referee signals over to the timekeeper that he’s about to check Harris’ pulse…

JT: I think Harris is already out here….I’m not sure the pulse check is necessary…

Harris’ arm drops twice without any sign of life at all. The fans in attendance look concerned as the referee raises his arm for a third time and then lets go…

RJ: HARRIS IS FIGHTING THIS….BUT WHERE DOES HE GO? HOW DOES HE FIGHT FREE?

Kent wrenches back on Harris’ neck even harder than before, his face turning red with the effort, as Harris somehow tries to push himself free. The cheers of the crowd are rising and the support for Harris is at fever pitch as somehow “The Sharpshooter” gets the soles of his feet on the canvass and starts to push himself up…

JT: How is this even possible? How can Scott Harris be standing up? The damage to his neck combined with all of Eddy Kent’s bodyweight on top of him…

RJ: This is quite simply astonishing….

Harris’ shouts are filling the air as he pushes up from a squat position, Kent still hanging off his neck, and then he charges forward and crushes him against the turnbuckle….

JT: I have no idea how Scott Harris fought free there….none at all…

RJ: But how much has it taken from him? Is there anything left?

Harris draws free and then crashes into Kent’s jaw with a big forearm. He unloads to the body with rights and lefts before grabbing Kent’s arm and he looks for an Irish whip….Kent twists inside to the centre and he pulls Harris toward him before booting him in the stomach….

JT: NECKBREAKER…

RJ: Looking to finish the job…

Harris spins right out of the neckbreaker and then ducks a right hand before snapping off a German suplex. He keeps his hands locked as he drags Kent back up and executes a second….

JT: Harris going for the hat-trick….no idea where he is getting this strength from but here we go…..GOT HIM!

Cheers ring out as Harris lands the third German suplex and then gets back up. He lets out a shout and then he ushers Kent back up and slings him into an overhead belly to belly….

RJ: Eddy Kent, whether he knows it or not, has booked a one way ticket to Suplex City….

JT: T-BONE….STRAIGHT INTO THE ROPES!

Kent gets up again and Harris throws him into his signature suplex against the ropes. Kent is all at sea as he crawls up again and Harris scoops him onto his shoulders and nails a “Shock treatment” backbreaker….

RJ: Every single one of these attacks is targetting Eddy Kent’s back….softening him up for another run at the sharpshooter….

JT: Right now Scott Harris is absolutely whooping Kent’s a55….

Kent is clutching at his spine as he stumbles up in the corner and Harris lands a stinger splash to the spine. He pulls Kent out and lifts him into a back suplex position before releasing him and dropping him across his knees…

RJ: I have never seen Scott Harris look so brutal…..THAT IS INCREDIBLE!

Harris then drags Kent back up again into a front facelock and he suplexes him into the air…..he throws Kent out at the top and lets him fall through the air before landing him across his knees once again…

JT: We worried about Scott Harris’ neck being broken…..I’m now concerned about the back and spine of Eddy Kent….

RJ: I can’t recall a combination of high impact moves like that….Kent just got destroyed…

JT: And Harris is primed to finish this now….SHARPSHOOTER!

Kent is literally writhing in agony on the canvass, arching up to keep his back off the deck, and then Harris grabs his legs and begins turning him over….

RJ: Eddy Kent is in so much trouble here….

Kent is doing everything he can to resist being turned over onto his stomach. He reaches up and grabs Harris’ head and rakes at his eyes….Harris staggers away and Kent crawls up, holding his back…..Kent runs forward for a clothesline but Harris ducks it and grabs his arm….

JT: SHOT IN THE DARK….SHARPSHOOTER!

RJ: KENT’S TAPPING…..HE HAS NO CHOICE!

Harris drills Kent into the canvass and immediately grabs his legs before turning him over into the excruciating submission. Kent screams in agony, trapped in the centre of the ring, and he taps both of his hands against the mat….

JT: The referee is out though….

RJ: What?

JT: When Harris lifted Kent for the “Shot in the Dark”….look at the replay…

RJ: That no good snake, he kicked out at the referee’s head…

The instant replays show Kent kicking his leg forward and making contact with the side of the referee’s face, sending him crashing in a heap in the corner. Back live and Harris is still sitting in the submission hold, until he finally realises no decision is forthcoming….

JT: Scott Harris thought he’d won…

RJ: He should have won…

Harris finally relinquishes the hold and he makes his way over toward the official, trying to revive him. Harris signals for another official and then makes his way back over to Kent, looking to put him back into the submission….

JT: I think Harris is going to try and keep Kent in the submission until the referee wakes up…

RJ: Kent’s back will be broken after this…

Kent makes a mad crawl for the ropes. Harris grabs his feet and tries to pull him back as Kent clings to the bottom rope…

JT: Eddy Kent is desperate not to be put back in that submission….

RJ: These two men have no gone way beyond the fifteen minutes they had on Proving Grounds….

JT: The “no time limit” ruling is justified then….

Harris releases the legs of Kent and decides to stomp on him instead. He goes wild with brutal stomps before dragging him up…

RJ: Kent just dumped Harris through the ropes….he’s doing everything he can to keep distance between them….

Kent grabs Harris by the head and chucks him through the ropes. He tries to crawl away but Harris reaches under the bottom rope and pulls Kent to the outside…

JT: Harris will not be denied….he will not be thwarted….

Kent lands on his feet and then he swings out with a brutal back elbow to Harris’ nose, staggering him away. Kent stumbles toward the timekeeper’s area as Harris gives chase….DING!

RJ: HE HIT HIM WITH THE RING BELL!

Kent swings the bell and smashes Harris in the side of the head. He then grabs him and chucks him back into the ring before collapsing to one knee, holding his back….

JT: Eddy Kent has managed to stop Harris for a moment….but that back is killing him…

RJ: Kent knows he needs something to reverse the pendulum in his favour…

Kent makes his way back to the timekeeper’s area and he grabs a steel chair, snapping it shut, and heads for the ring. The crowd are booing furiously as Kent ushers Harris up and then swings the chair at his head….

JT: SHARPSHOOTER!

Harris ducks under the blow and he swipes Kent’s legs. He looks for the submission once more but Kent thrashes from side to side and then grabs the steel chair again, driving it upward into the throat of Scott Harris. Harris drops to the mat, coughing and spluttering….

RJ: That was a disgusting blow there….

JT: In this match though he can do as he pleases….even without a referee, there are no DQS

Kent smirks at his actions and then he drags his way to the corner. He begins to pull himself up the ropes…

RJ: I’m not sure what Kent’s thinking is here…..he can’t make Harris tap out from up there…

JT: I thought Kent’s days of high flying were done….

RJ: THEY MIGHT BE NOW!

Kent reaches the top rope but then Harris is up. He sprints to the corner and is up the ropes in a flash. He looks to pull Kent off into a huge overhead suplex but Kent clutches him in close and he crashes elbows and forearms into the head and neck of Harris….

JT: Kent targetting the same area he has done all match…..OH MY GOD!

Crowd: Holy (beep) x10

Kent suddenly ducks into Harris and scoops him onto his shoulders before nailing a rolling fireman’s slam (ala Mr Kennedy) from the top rope, being sure to turn his body at an angle so that Harris’ neck lands hard on the canvass….Harris is clearly in a whole world of disorientation as another referee comes running down the ramp….

RJ: We’ve got another referee….

JT: And Harris is out…

RJ: Isn’t that Ralph Santos? He was one of the referees reprimanded for poor decisions….

JT: During one of the previous Harris/Kent fights….

RJ: KENTLOCK!

Kent has pulled Harris, who is sat in a daze, into the guillotine submission once again and is pulling back on his head. They fall sideways on the canvass and Harris’ arm is sprawled out underneath….

JT: Harris is unresponsive here….

RJ: But isn’t that arm under the ropes?

JT: That’s a tight call….

RJ: And no pulse check? I don’t know here….

JT: There’ll be questions but we are done….

There are boos inside the Birmingham Bowl as “Succession” is playing out and referee Ralph Santos is raising Eddy Kent’s arm in victory. Scott Harris is still motionless on the deck as the ringside doctor comes around to check on him…

RJ: These two men went all in….I mean they left it all in the ring tonight, that was brutality….

JT: But at the end of it, we got our definitive finish….Eddy Kent is leaving the victor….

RJ: But again this is not without controversy…..the referee was out after Kent blatantly kicked him unconscious…..Kent then tapped to the sharpshooter…..we can’t say anything about the steel chair or the ring bell, there was no disqualifications….but what about Ralph Santos coming down as the replacement referee? He has history with Kent….history in a previous bout between these two men….plus Harris’ foot looked under the ropes to me, and he wasn’t even given a chance with the pulse check…

JT: I agree on the foot, although it was borderline and could have gone either way….personally I don’t think the pulse check matters, Harris was out, he’s still out….he took so much damage to the head and neck in that bout…..this really was brutal…

RJ: Both men sustained so much damage….Eddy Kent’s back has to be causing him some serious problems too….

JT: But it will be soothed by the knowledge that he has the W….this amazing trilogy has finally produced a winner and his name is Eddy Kent….

RJ: That was a truly sublime contest between two of the best….I fully expect both to be major players in the coming months…

JT: Kent certainly with the headstart after this win…

RJ: This has been some night of action….and we still have one more match…..6CW Championship on the line, do not go anywhere…

Eddy Kent continues to allow Ralph Santos to parade him as the winner, laughing off the boos of the audience, as Scott Harris is receiving ringside treatment, looking incredibly groggy.

*GazzyD is walking backstage when he turns the corner and sees Christy knocking at Uryu’s door. He quickly steps back so she cannot see him but continues to watch as she walks inside.

The scene then changes and we see Christy and Uryu. Uryu has just finished his training and looks primed for battle.

Christy: I won’t keep you...I know this is your moment…

Uryu: A moment that never would have happened without you…

Christy: You did all the hard work…

Uryu: But you believed in me….nobody ever has before….your belief and your support has made all this possible and I am so grateful…

*Christy blushes slightly from the commentators

Christy: Gazzy never liked to talk much before the big fights…

*She stops herself and there is an awkward pause

Christy: What I meant to say was….I just want to wish you luck….you deserve this moment and everything that comes with it….

*She leans in and kisses Uryu on the cheek. The two lock eyes for a moment and then Christy excuses herself from the room. Uryu touches his cheek where she kissed and then he looks to the skies and takes a deep breathes

*A vignette plays for a high-flying superstar that seems to defy gravity. There is a montage of breath-taking moves before a message comes up on the screen. “June 19th – The Debut of Cody “Air” Walker

*The cameras go back to ringside and we get another shot of Robin Reborn at ringside and then we see former 6CW star Dante Phoenix, who receives a big ovation. O’Callaghan has made his way to the VIP section and is partying with the fans before there are shots of Idris Elba, Tom Hiddleston and singing sensation Ann Marie within the crowd. Stormzy is ringside and receives a huge roar as the commentators talk about the growing hype for the upcoming main event.

*Backstage again and 6WF alumni Finlay is pouring himself a Guinness in the bar area. He raises it to the gathered crowd “Uryu Ishida” and the crowd roar in unison. Another pint glass then smashes across the back of the head of Finlay and drops him in a heap on the floor, blood running down his head. There are boos and screams from the crowd as newcomer Cassidy walks into shot. He has a cold smirk on his face as he begins to tear Finlay’s shirt off of his back. He then produces a branding iron of sorts…...the onlookers watch with fear as Cassidy burns the skin of Finlay and then draws away, leaving the word “Gluttony” visible for all to see. Finlay screams in pain at his blistering skin as Cassidy walks away, showing no trace of emotion at what he has just done.

*We now head to the 6CWF Panel table with Max Adamson. Adamson is joined by Jackson Jackson, first ever 6WF Champion EZ Money and former 6WF Freeweight Champion, Sky Dynamite.

*Max wants to talk about the show and who has impressed the most. EZ is waxing lyrical on Marty Helms and believes he is a rightful 6WF Champion to continue the historic lineage. Jackson Jackson and Max are going wild about Rex’s performance but Sky Dynamite goes left field with the arrival of Cassidy. Sky says he won a title on his debut with 6WF so he knows all about making an instant impact and that exactly what Cassidy did. He says Cassidy is definitely one to watch, especially after what we have just seen him do to Finlay in the backstage area.

They run down the show and some of the standout moments. Max is a big fan of Mike Hill doing it for the veterans of the game, winning the European Title that helped springboard his own career. EZ talks about Eddy Kent and says it was a truly fantastic submission match between two men who he believes will win world titles, he says Scott Harris should keep his head up because he’ll come again. Sky Dynamite says the return of O’Callaghan had everyone on their feet and nobody says it like the OC.

Max that watching the show has almost made him get the bug back to return to the ring but he’s also happy to give the limelight to others...Jackson jokes it’s because Max couldn’t be a world champion anymore and he’d be in Rex’s shadow...Max retorts “Just like you were in mine”….and the two verbal joust. Max says if they booked Rex vs Max vs Jackson right now that Max would win….Jackson wants a bet on it…

Max deadpan looks at the camera and is telling his director to get JJ Johnson over here and to make this happen….he says he doesn’t care if Clarke James has eaten JJ’s children, he needs to do at least one thing right tonight and make this match….Jackson Jackson is shaking his head in disbelief at Adamson’s spiel. Max is yelling for Xanthi, Marlon and Horrigan to “get in here” so they can tell everyone that’s he’s right. Max says he’s still #1, then Rex and Jackson is a very poor dead last #3

The arguing between Max and Jackson continues as EZ Money and Sky Dynamite just walk away from the desk and disappear into the crowd.

*Diablo is shown knocking on the door of Clarke James, security are flanked outside.

Diablo: It’s time, Clarke…

*Diablo looks around at the security

Diablo: You have your orders?

*They nod their heads

Diablo: Make sure this goes off without a hitch…

*The door opens as Clarke James walks out, we see the “COH” pendants dangling from underneath his jacket. He merely stares ahead

Diablo: You’re lucky this is even going ahead….this company deserves better than men like you….

*CJ merely looks bored as Jack Reynolds comes bustling into shot

Reynolds: I was hoping to get a quick last minute word?

*Diablo looks at Reynolds for a minute and then motions for him to continued

Reynolds: Clarke….this is it, in just a few moments you’ll head out there to main event From the Ashes…..facing Uryu Ishida for the 6CW World Championship….any final thoughts?

*Clarke James slowly turns to face Reynolds, his eyes soulless.

CJ: I dedicate this match to my dear friend, JJ Johnson!

*The crowd boo furiously and Diablo shakes his head as Clarke James is led away by security

*Final scene change and JJ, Brandi and Acer are all sat together. Brandi has clearly been crying

Brandi: JJ, baby, I’m begging you….it’s not too late to change this….

Acer: Cmon man….

*JJ looks at them both

JJ: Let me ask you a question….do you trust me?

*Brandi and Acer exchange looks and then they both nod

JJ: Have I ever let either of you down?

*Brandi and Acer shake their heads in unison

JJ: And yet here we are….two of my most trusted confidantes….my own wife, one of my best friends….and still you question what I’m doing…

Brandi: JJ…

Acer: Cmon man, you know it’s not like that...Clarke James is an animal…

JJ: You both sitting there like I don’t know….like I’m somehow blind to this (beep)….I see it, I see it all….but you two, you don’t see it….you don’t see the whole goddamn picture…

Because this ain’t ten years ago...I’m not an active roster member….this ain’t as simple as I run up on Clarke James and beat his a55….this is business now, we all involved...we’re all invested….time, money, effort….the future of this company….

Clarke James is an animal but he ain’t stupid….he playing a game and unfortunately we playing too, like it or not…

I hold up my hands on the contract….I thought maybe being back in the fold with us would bring him to his senses….I see now that ain’t never gone happen...as much as it pains me…..I know he gone….

Acer: Then do what needs to be done?

JJ: And what is that huh? You sitting there acting like you just cancel a premium event main event at the eleventh hour….think like a suit, playa, think it through….fifteen thousand tickets sold, millions watching on TV and we just pull the plug?

Or should I just cancel his contract? That sound better….I mean let’s go legal 101 for a second and think about how difficult that may be….you see him attacking Rocky, attacking Tyse...makes me sick, watching those videos made me sick….but is it instant grounds for dismissal? They ain’t on the payroll….and this is pro wrestling….(beep) happens all the time….but I’m supposed to cancel one guy’s contract because the people he attacked are my people?

Or maybe you want me to exact street vengeance? Is that it? You want street JJ on the case? You want me to take this back to the old school? The chairman, the head of the table….the guy running this multi-million pound operation and you want me to just abuse my power and start slapping around my employees….you don’t think I want to? Hell I’ve been this close time and time again to beating the brakes off that b1tch….but you think VIP just gone let that slide? All the sponsors? Amazon?

Acer: So what, you just let him away with it?

*JJ is angry now

JJ: When did I say that? I done already told you I’m gone deal with it….Clarke James gone get his….next week….you don’t believe me? You don’t believe I will….cmon playboy, speak yo mind...I know you want to…

Acer: Honestly, I don’t know…..the old JJ Johnson, my friend….he wouldn’t have thought twice….he’d of already beat Clarke James within an inch of his life…

But now you want to settle this in a business manner? I just don’t think that’s going to cut it….this guy is a disease….a cancer…

JJ: And you don’t think I got the antidote?

Acer: It hurts me to say it JJ but no I don’t….I think you’re still blinded….you just don’t get it….this is just the beginning….talking about corporation, money, sponsors...who gives a (beep)….he left our friends in a pool of blood…

Who’s next, Brandi? The kids?

*JJ stands up

JJ: Mother(beeper) I know you didn’t just bring my children into this…

*Acer is stood up too as Brandi is crying again

Acer: Because you don’t think he will? There is nothing this man won’t do JJ….why can’t you see that….nobody and nothing is off limits…

JJ: My family is off limits….nobody touches my family…

Acer: Cassius did….

Brandi: JJ!

*JJ suddenly launches forwards and Brandi manages to get in front of him. Acer is thunderous

Acer: I’m sorry….I can’t sit back and just watch this…

JJ: We ain’t done, fool….where the hell you going?

Acer: To do what you can’t…

*Acer storms from the room as JJ looks ready to unleash hell. Brandi is still holding her husband back but she is also silently weeping.

*Crowd pop

Bird: Scheduled for one fall with a sixty minute time limit…...and it is for the 6CW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP!

JT: This is it, RJ…..main event time…

RJ: What a night this has been...I saw on social media when 6CWF first announced its comeback many naysayers and doubters….well are you doubting now? Because we are back and we are better than we have been in a long long time…

JT: We’ve crowned new champions here tonight….we’ve seen returns as well as five incredible bouts….but we still have one more bout, one more champion left to crown….

RJ: We have a new 6WF Champion, his name is Marty Helms...but who is leaving Birmingham tonight as the 6CW Champion?

JT: That’s the one question remaining…

“Hello Mr Blue Sky” suddenly echoes out the speaker system as an extensive light show and pyrotechnic display takes place. Every single fan is on their feet…

Bird: Introducing first………...from Nottingham, England…..weighing in at 204 pounds…...Uuuuurrrrryyyyuuuuuu Iiiiisssshhhiiiiiidddddddaaaaaa!

RJ: The veteran...what a path, what a journey…..is tonight the ultimate culmination of sixteen years in the business?

JT: TAW Original, 6WF from 2007….6CW from 2015…..Uryu Ishida has been a constant in these two companies….aisle after aisle, city after city….this man has shown up and showed out….he’s fought the best, he’s fought the not so best…

RJ: He’s damn well fought everyone….he’s opened the night….he’s done the dark matches….he’s had every single position on the card…..and I tell you right now that every single member of the roster, the production crew, the runners, the medics….they are watching this in the back, they are glued to the TV….because tonight Uryu Ishida is going for gold….and I urge you to find me anyone that begrudges this man his time in the limelight….

JT: The ultimate professional….Uryu Ishida always shows up, always on time….he trains harder than most….this is his life…

RJ: And I’ve said it before and I will reiterate it again….this man has gotten better and better as he gets older….many say he’s “too old” to be a world champion but I am telling you that this man is better now than he ever has been….if Uryu Ishida is ever going to be a world champion then now is the time to make it happen, he has never been in better shape….he has never been more primed to finally climb to the summit of this industry…

JT: Uryu is 4-0 since his return….say what you want about his perceived level of competition but last time out he scored the win over Scott Harris and Eddy Kent….he has proven time and time again that he belongs here, he is main event class….he is elite level…

RJ: Tonight….June 9th 2023….is this Uryu Ishida’s night?

Uryu looks almost blown away by the reception he receives as he stands on the stage and soaks up the atmosphere. He turns to each side of the arena and bows in appreciation before he makes his way to the ring. He climbs up the steel steps and then vaults up and over inside the ring…

JT: We can talk about the love triangle…..the “friendship” or more with Christy James….how GazzyD looks at it….how all three of them feel….but tonight isn’t about that and it does a disservice to what we are about to see….Uryu Ishida is about to fight for a world title….he has had so few of these opportunities over the years….

RJ: He’s won European Titles….I believe a UK Title run in 6CW?

JT: And he also won the “Gateway to Glory” in 2019 but then we went dark and he never got to fight for the world title….

RJ: But here in 2023 he is ready, as ready as he ever will be…

JT: Show Uryu himself in 2008, or 2012, or even 2017 and ask him if he was going to be a world champion…..he may have said yes, with some wishful thinking, but did he really believe it? But now….I believe the man I have watched in 6CW since around 2018 can be a world champion and I think he believes that of himself…

Uryu soaks up the cheers as he bounces on the ropes and then he unties his robe and drops it to the outside. The lights in the arena then turn out as “Blind Faith” echoes out to raucous boos…

Michael Bird: And his opponent….from Westminster, England…..weighing in at 214 pounds…..The Fallen One…..Clllllaaaarrrrrkkkkkkkeeee Jaaaaaaaaammmmmmmmeeeeessss!

RJ: But standing in his way is this man…..and where do you even start?

JT: Quite arguably the most violent, vicious and dangerous man in professional wrestling today….I was there the night Clarke James smashed a glass bottle in his best friend, Marshall Murdoch, face...he tries to take Marshall’s sight…..I was there when he tried to blind Perfect Jack and Jackson Jackson…..I watched this man turn on everyone he considered an ally, all in the name of becoming world champion….

RJ: I always knew there was a darkness to Clarke James….that was obvious from the moment he signed for 6WF and joined the Church of Hero….he was involved in some heinous things even back then but I never believed he was completely give in to the evilness inside of him….

JT: Clarke James became a fan favourite….he was JJ Johnson’s best friend, he and Perfect Jack combined for one of the most well received co-champion runs in history….but now we know that was all a facade, a smokescreen….CJ was fighting his inner demons the entire time, desperate to show his true self…

RJ: And now we see him...we all see his true form…

JT: And we fear his capabilities…

RJ: Clarke James will do anything to be world champion……….we have seen that since his return, backed up by proof earlier tonight….in order to force JJ’s hand he has viciously attacked Rock V2 and Tyson Armstrong….he violently assaulted Uryu last week, busting him open after their tag team victory…

JT: If you stand between Clarke James and a world title then you need to be prepared to defend yourself to the death, because he will do whatever it takes….

RJ: Clarke James warned JJ Johnson there would be consequences for not awarding him the world title when he returned….that manifested itself with the aforementioned attacks…

JT: And yet JJ is choosing to wait until next week to act…..are you surprised about that?

RJ: I am, knowing JJ as I do...I expected a swift response to the proof he received earlier tonight….

JT: But JJ isn’t a wrestler anymore….he’s a businessman and he has to look at things differently….he didn’t want to cancel a world title match on live television…

RJ: But what is the alternative...having this man as a world champion, representing your company?

JT: The mind boggles at that possibility….

RJ: JJ is still seeing Clarke James as his friend but that man is long gone, he no longer exists and JJ cannot save him….CJ has attacked JJ’s “brothers”, he has threatened JJ and his family….what is he not seeing?

JT: I think JJ is seeing it….he knows CJ is dangerous….but Johnson has been in this business a long time and he knows that men like Clarke James sell shows….JJ has to balance all avenues, he can’t just rule from a personal perspective….even if Brandi and Acer want him to….

Clarke James stands at the base of the ring and he just stares up at the ring, where Uryu is looking back at him. Clarke then removes his jacket and places it on the top rope before placing his “COH” pendants on top of it…

RJ: Those pendants that Clarke James has used so often in recent weeks...including last time out to help bust Uryu wide open…

JT: And the referee needs to keep an eye on that….

RJ: He’ll need eyes in the back of his head because Clarke will try anything to get the upper hand…I just feel like he’s laughing at JJ and the 6CWF Board…..he knows he’s been caught red-handed and yet there is no punishment….he is still being allowed to contest this main event, he is still very much in position to leave here tonight as 6CW Champion….which is exactly what he wanted when he stepped through the ropes on his first night back…

JT: In a roundabout way Clarke James has manipulated the situation to get exactly what he wanted….

RJ: And yet no action has been taken…

The referee stands in between both men as the noise levels grow and grow. He then checks both men for concealed weapons as Clarke’s black eyes bore into Uryu. Uryu returns the gaze, showing no fear….

JT: From the Ashes, main event….6CW Championship on the line…

RJ: An incredible night is about to get an incredible finale….but who leaves as champion….Clarke James or Uryu Ishida?

JT: Ring that bell and we’ll find out…

Both men take sideways steps across their side of the ring, watching one another’s every move. They then move toward the centre and merge into a lockup...CJ quickly snaps his arms free and looks for a quick kick to the gut but Ishida catches his boot…

RJ: Uryu is on point tonight and he’s ready for any tricks that CJ may pull…

Uryu throws James’ boot back on the mat and then jumps in the air and crashes a knee under the chin of James. He grabs his arm and looks for an Irish whip but James reverses and sends Uryu off the ropes. Uryu comes back and CJ pops him up….

JT: Another beautiful counter…

Uryu wraps his legs around James’ neck in midair and whips him down with a hurricanrana that sends CJ rolling under the bottom rope, looking annoyed. The crowd are jeering James and applauding as Uryu runs to the ropes and up top before flying through the air…

RJ: THAT IS SPECTACULAR…..URYU IS FEELING IT HERE!

Crowd: Let’s go Ur-yu x10

Ishida flies through the air and he takes James out with a seated senton on the outside of the ring. He drinks in the cheers of the crowd before he drags CJ back up and throws him into the ring. Uryu then climbs onto the apron and he springboards up top before turning in midair and moonsaulting off the top across his prone opponent….

JT: I guess that attack from James on Uryu last week has got him all fired up….

James rolls back out onto the apron and it is clear he is stunned by what has happened. He begins to pull himself up as Uryu runs toward the ropes. Uryu flips up the ropes and wraps his legs around CJ’s neck again but James catches him in a powerbomb position. They spin around on the apron before Uryu comes out on top by headscissoring CJ back over the top rope and inside the ring…

RJ: This is unbelievable...it’s not often we see Uryu flying this early in a contest but this is clearly what becoming world champion means to him…

Uryu rests for a second on the apron as he watches Clarke get back to a knee in the ring. Ishida then catapults himself over the top rope and lands a brutal low hesitation dropkick to the mouth…………..1…………….2……………..shoulder up.

Uryu pulls James in place and then heads for the corner, beginning to pull himself up the ropes…

JT: Uryu’s wasting absolutely no time here at all….he wants to finish it…

RJ: Smart, the less time in there with Clarke James the better…SPLIT SECOND

Uryu is perched for the 450 splash but then James begins to get back up. Uryu contemplates his next move but then James runs toward the corner….Uryu leaps over the top of him and into a forward roll. He gets back up and turns on his heel but CJ is already on him and crashes an enzeguiri into his temple. Ishida falls back into the corner and James drives into him with a heavy elbow to the jaw before he leaps up and lands with a backheel kick to the mouth again. CJ lifts Uryu up top…

JT: James is going high risk here….he’s abandoning his methodical approach…

RJ: I think Uryu has riled him….SUPERPLEX!

James tries to pull Uryu into a front facelock and lift him off the top rope with a superplex but Ishida turns his body in mid lift and he wraps his legs around the back of CJ’s neck…

JT: POISONRANA FROM ON HIGH….OH MY!

The crowd are going wild as Uryu lands the inverted hurricanrana from the top rope that sends CJ crashing down to the canvass in a heap. James rolls over onto his knees, eyes glazed, as Uryu stumbles up….

RJ: SUPERKICK TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD….URYU’S DREAM COMING TRUE!

JT: Clarke James is not going down without a fight…..

Uryu kneels for a moment, looking stunned, and then he gets back to his feet. The crowd are applauding him and willing him on as he thinks about what to do next. Clarke James is clearly very disorientated as he starts to get back up…

RJ: This, so far, has been one of Uryu Ishida’s best ever performances….

JT: But it’ll count for nothing if he cannot close the show…

Uryu runs to the ropes and he springs onto the middle before moonsaulting back again and taking James down……………..1………...2…………...kickout. Uryu then clambers out onto the apron and he urges CJ to stand before springboarding back in…

RJ: FOREARM….NO!

CJ sidesteps the flying forearm at the final moment and then he locks his arms around Uryu’s waist before nailing a release German suplex with such power that Uryu flips inside out and lands on his face…

JT: That is impact….Uryu may have bitten through his own tongue there….

RJ: AND IT JUST GOT WORSE!

Uryu rolls out under the bottom rope onto the apron. He starts trying to get up but James runs over and dropkicks him in the back, sending Ishida flying to the outside and his head collides with the ringside barrier….

JT: Uryu was on fire to start this contest but Clarke James has withstood the storm and now he’s back in the mix…

RJ: More than that….he has Uryu hurt here, which is exactly what he wants…

Uryu is sat on the concrete floor, holding his head, as Clarke James tries to get out of the ring. The referee tries to contain him but James isn’t willing to wait. Uryu gets to his feet, leaning against the railing, as James smashes into him. He pulls Uryu around and he smashes his head off the steel steps before lifting him into a suplex position and he drops Ishida, ribs-first, across the steel…

JT: Now the torture and beatdown begins….now Clarke James finds his groove and things are going to get a lot worse for Uryu Ishida here…

RJ: And somewhere in the back JJ Johnson is watching this….you think he’s still happy about his decision to let this go ahead?

James looks over at the wreckage of the three announce tables before he decides to suplex Uryu up and this time he lands him across the ringside barrier…

JT: The referee is being extremely lenient here….

RJ: He knows a count out will not settle this….we cannot crown a world champion if they both get counted out….there is no champion’s advantage in this…

Uryu is just slumped there as CJ decides to throw him to the floor. He then drags Uryu back up and throws him into the ring. The crowd are booing as James pulls himself onto the apron and then he planchas over the top rope, landing all of his bodyweight across the ribs of Uryu…………...1…………….2………...Ishida kicks out!

JT: Notice how the pace has slowed….this is now much more what Clarke James wants, this is how he operates…

James drags Uryu up again and then he Irish whips him to the corner with such force that Uryu’s ribs collide with the turnbuckle and he collapses again. Clarke walks over and he begins to stomp down on the body of Ishida until the referee drags him away…

RJ: But the referee can disqualify Clarke James….that would make Uryu the winner….and I assume the 6CW Champion…

JT: We’d have to get clarification on that but you could be right….

Uryu tries to use the ropes to pull himself back up as James ploughs vicious right hands into the bottom of his back. He drags Uryu away from the ropes and lifts Uryu into a back suplex position before thrusting him forwards so that his face and ribs collide with the canvass….CJ then turns toward the stage and he waves…

RJ: Clarke James is enjoying this now…..and he is openly mocking the 6CWF Board, he knows they are watching this…

James pushes Uryu into the ropes again and slams another vicious forearm into his spine. He spins him around and whips him to another turnbuckle, causing Ishida to collide chest-first once again. Uryu staggers, hunched over, as James beckons him forward…

JT: FAITHLESS….

Uryu elbows at the head of CJ time and again until he releases. Ishida is clearly hurting as he runs to the ropes and jumps on top…

*Crowd groan

RJ: As if the body wasn’t already in enough pain…

Uryu leaps up onto the top rope, preparing for a springboard, but CJ just runs across and shoves him off, sending him flying off into the aisleway. The referee wants to start counting Uryu out but CJ shakes his head and climbs out himself…

JT: Uryu is as brave as they come, that has never been in doubt...but is he too brave for his own good?

RJ: Uryu won’t just quit….that is for damn sure…..but Clarke James is starting to bust him up…..AND AGAIN!

CJ pulls Uryu up and he runs him forward and thrusts him against the ring steps, causing Ishida’s ribs to slam against them, leaving him slumped over. James then climbs up the steps and he steps onto Uryu’s back, crushing him against the steel….

JT: You just know that Clarke James is enjoying this….he is enjoying causing pain and suffering….

James climbs back down and he decides to lift Uryu into a back suplex position again. He walks him toward the ringside barrier and prepares to thrust him forward just as he did inside the ring…

RJ: This may just end up breaking the ribs of Uryu….if they aren’t already…

JT: URYU STILL FIGHTING!

Uryu, out of desperation, wraps his heels around the waist of CJ in a wheelbarrow and then throws himself forward so that CJ is sent crashing into the ringside barrier. CJ stumbles back up and rests his head against the ringpost as Ishida climbs up onto the ringside barrier and leaps through the air…

RJ: HE DROPKICKED HIS HEAD RIGHT AGAINST THE STEEL!

The crowd roar as Uryu kicks CJ’s head against the solid ringpost. Uryu is clearly in pain as he gets back to his feet and dumps James inside the ring. He turns to the crowd, who are chanting his name, and then he pulls himself back onto the apron. James gets to his feet and staggers to the corner as Uryu runs across the apron and springs over the turnbuckle, wrapping his legs around CJ’s body and he flips forward into an incredible sunset flip bomb ….

JT: That was outrageous…

…...CJ just manages to kick out. Uryu scrambles back to his feet and he storms in with a snapping superkick to the head of his kneeling opponent. James is dazed and then Uryu lashes a buzzsaw kick against his temple…

RJ: James just surviving, just holding on….these men have beaten the brakes off one another….

JT; It’s the main event, world championship on the line….it’s do or die…

Uryu makes his way to the corner and he begins to scale the ropes. James is just getting to his feet as Uryu leaps toward him with a seated senton…

RJ: James caught him….BUCKLE BOMB!

James runs toward the corner for the powerbomb but Uryu twists off and nails a headscissors that sends James crashing into the turnbuckle. Uryu then grabs James trunks and rolls him up…………..1…………...2………...shoulder up!

They scramble up and James swings wildly with a right hand but Uryu dodges it and he springs onto the ropes before wrapping his legs around CJ’s neck again and pulls him forward with a twisted headscissors that leaves James sprawled across the middle ropes. Uryu sucks in a deep breath…

JT: 619…..O’Callaghan came back tonight and that is right out of his playbook….

Uryu lands the tiger feint kick around the ropes that sends CJ sprawling back toward the centre of the ring. Ishida then grips the top rope and propels himself back through the air…

RJ: FOREARM….

JT: CROSSFACE!

Uryu flies through the air for the “phenomenal” forearm but CJ catches his arm as he comes down and takes him down into the submission. Uryu tries to scramble and fight but James traps his arm between his legs and then pulls back on the head of Ishida…

RJ: This is locked in tight….middle of the ring…

JT: Uryu didn’t even see it coming….he thought he was on the brink…

RJ: Now he’s on the brink of watching his dreams go up in smoke…

The crowd are screaming and willing Uryu to find the resolve to crawl for the ropes but he is in a whole world of trouble. Clarke James’ face is a picture of rage and determination as he really yanks back on the head of Ishida, sending untold amounts of pain and agony down the neck and spine of his opponent….

JT: Will Uryu quit? I really don’t know how long he can survive in this hold?

RJ: Clarke James couldn’t have this locked in any tighter….he really couldn’t….I think a second reign as 6CW Champion is imminent….

Uryu is doing everything he can to scratch and claw across the ring but he is still too far away. The referee is asking him if he wants to give up but he shakes his head furiously, unwilling to throw in the towel. James continues to rip and tear…

JT: This submission targets so many different parts of the body….neck, spine, the shoulder muscles...Uryu is in agony here….

RJ: I know this is what he’s worked his whole career for but how much more can he take?

Uryu reaches for the ropes again but is too far away. He then pushes his palm into the canvass and uses the last of his available strength to push his body sideways, causing Clarke James to fall underneath him and he lands on top….

JT: Uryu almost stole it from right under the nose of Clarke James….that would have been incredible….

Clarke is quickly back to his feet and he crashes a knee into the side of Uryu’s jaw, leaving him in a heap. He drags him up and whips him off the ropes, lowering his head for a Samoan drop on the comeback…

RJ: Uryu leapfrogged it….SPRINGBOARD…

JT: FORGET IT!

Uryu twists back off the ropes but jumps straight into the arms of CJ and is drilled by a spinebuster. Ishida staggers back up in the corner and James thunders against him with a brutal lariat to the back of the neck. Uryu tumbles around and falls to his knees. CJ stands over him, like an executioner waiting for his big moment, and then crashes a brutal discus elbow smash into Uryu’s ear…

RJ: I think the lights just got turned out permanently for Uryu Ishida….

JT: HE FIGHTS ON…

RJ: Somehow….and this crowd are still right behind him….they believe…

JT: But I’m not so sure Ishida can go much longer…

Clarke James stares down at Uryu for nearly a minute and then he drags him up. He holds his face up and stares into his eyes before pushing him back into the ropes and this time he succeeds in lifting him and planting him with a Samoan drop as he returns. CJ spits on the canvass and then heads for the corner…

JT: The top rope isn’t somewhere we often see Clarke James go….but he is capable from up here…

RJ: He’s capable in all departments, which is why he’s been a world champion before and why he may very well become a world champion again here tonight...CORKSCREW SENTON!

Uryu is up, much to the delight and surprise of the crowd. He rushes to the ropes and springboards off the middle, diving backward through the air, and crashes a pele kick into the top of CJ’s head. James is left sitting on the top of the turnbuckle as Uryu climbs up after him…

RJ: I don’t know how Uryu keeps doing but damn it he will not be denied…

JT: 16 years on the circuit…..from Birmingham and back to where it all began…

Uryu gets to the top rope and he looks as though he is trying to pull him into a front facelock but then his yells fill the air…

RJ: James is biting him…..we can see it clear as day from our vantage point up on the stage…

JT: He has literally just sank his teeth into the eye socket of Uryu….how is that not a disqualification?

RJ: I don’t think the referee could see it from where he was at…

JT: James showing that he will always go for the eyes...he is as vicious as they come…

RJ: And now he’s looking to finish this…..FAITHLESS!

James seems to spit something away after the bite and then he hooks Uryu’s arm in place and pulls him forward for the top rope “rock bottom”….

JT: THAT IS UNREAL!

Uryu grabs the arm of CJ and he pulls himself up and wraps his legs around it before twisting them both off the top rope, slamming James down into the canvass, head-first, with brutal impact….Uryu is sat on top of CJ’s back with his arm in place…

RJ: SUNSET….URYU HAS THE FUJIWARA….AND HE’S BRIDGED!

Uryu bends over into the bridged position as the crowd go wild. Clarke James’ grunts of pain fill the air as his arm is pushed into a horrific angle…

JT: Not only was CJ ploughed on his head and shoulder the top rope but now he’s locked in one of the deadliest submission moves in the game…

RJ: Uryu Ishida can almost touch the world championship….

JT: The fans are on their feet….they think this is it…

The referee is knelt down next to Clarke James, asking him if he wants to quit but he grits his teeth, tightening his jaw, and just shakes his head. Uryu has the arm of CJ bent in a position where it looks capable of breaking…

RJ: Clarke James’ arm may shatter here…

JT: I genuinely think he’d carry on….he’s that desperate to be champion…

CJ shifts his body on the mat, kicking and wriggling as best he can, and somehow finds his left boot under the bottom rope…

RJ: He’s forced a break….somehow, some way….

JT: But that arm may be irreparable….we may be looking at a one armed man…

Uryu, ever the professional, releases the hold almost immediately but looks stunned at the fact that CJ has survived. James is cradling his arm, clearly in pain, as Ishida gets back up to his feet….he is clearly thinking over his next move as he staggers over to CJ and grabs hold of him…

RJ: James doing everything he can to keep Uryu away…

James is trying to fight free and he uses his good arm to reach up and claw at Uryu’s face before shoving him in the chest…

JT: He went for the eyes again…

RJ: And Uryu damn near knocked out the referee, that was close…

Uryu staggers backward and almost collides with the official but ends up stopping himself. He ensures the official is ok and then turns back…

JT: FAITHLESS!

CJ springs into action for the “rock bottom” but Uryu fights him with vicious elbows and then shoves Clarke away…

RJ: AND NOW THE REFEREE IS REALLY DOWN!

There is a dull thud as Clarke James’ head smashes into the referee’s face and leaves him in a heap on the floor. Uryu then scores with a superkick to the back of James’ skull, sending him into the ropes, before drilling him with an inverted DDT as he comes back. The crowd are going wild as Uryu points up high…

JT: The referee is down but Uryu’s path is clear….this is your moment….get up there….

Uryu looks around the sell-out crowd as they scream and urge him to the top rope. He rushes over and begins to climb. He reaches the top and stares down at Clarke James before launching himself through the air…

RJ: SPLIT SECOND!

JT: But we have no referee…..this should be Uryu’s time…

Every fan in the arena is signalling for a referee but there is none forthcoming. Uryu looks around desperately but despairs as he sees the official is still down. He crawls over and does his best to revive him but there is no response. He holds his head in his hands as he makes his way back over to Clarke James…

RJ: Uryu should be the world champion here….the Board need to send another referee out here….

*Ultra boos

JT: OH CMON!

CJ suddenly launches up with a brutal low blow that lands between Uryu’s legs, dropping him in a heap. Clarke has an ugly grimace on his face as he rolls from the ring and retrieves a steel chair…

RJ: Someone needs to stop this now….this isn’t right….he can’t do that…

JT: HE IS!

CRACK!

Uryu stumbles back up and then the sound echoes like a gunshot as Clarke James whips the steel chair right across the top of his head, leaving him completely motionless on the canvass. He drops down to make the cover…

RJ: And now the referee is moving….not this way, surely...cmon Uryu, kick out…

The referee is groggy but he crawls his way over and begins to count….

JT: HE KICKED OUT….I DON’T BELIEVE IT!

RJ: URYU ISHIDA, MY GOD….HE WANTS THIS, HE WANTS THIS MORE THAN ANYTHING IN THE WORLD….

JT: AND CLARKE JAMES CAN’T BELIEVE IT…..BUT IS EVERYONE ELSE STARTING TO BELIEVE?

Clarke James has the angriest expression on his face as Uryu somehow gets his shoulder up off the mat. CJ gets back to his feet and he grabs the steel chair again….CRACK!

RJ: Dammit he just smashed the referee in the back of the head with that chair….Clarke James is sick, he is completely reprehensible….

The boos are deafening as CJ then turns the chair on its edge and he begins to drive it down into Uryu’s stomach with fury. Uryu tries to turn and roll but James just drives the chair down into his spine and shoulders instead….he then turns the chair on its full side again and smashes it down across Uryu’s body…..CRACK….CRACK…...CRACK!

JT: This is sickening….Clarke James is an animal…

RJ: He’s rabid….uncontrollable….

JT: And he’s beaten Uryu Ishida senseless here…

RJ: And he’s not done….because there’s nobody to stop him…

CJ retreats to the corner and he reaches out before grabbing his “COH” pendants. He wraps them around his right hand…

JT: We saw this last week….he used those pendants to bust Uryu wide open….and now he’s going to do exactly the same thing….Uryu is done here….

RJ: Uryu can barely stand….he has no idea what he is rising to….

Uryu’s body is covered in red marks and bruises but still he tries to stand. Clarke James’ black eyes are boring into him again, stalking him….

JT: ROGUE SPEAR…..DOWN GOES JAMES!

RJ: OH MY GOD…..LISTEN TO THIS CROWD…..HE SAID HE’D DO WHAT JJ JOHNSON WOULDN’T…..IS THIS JUSTICE?

JT: SERVED AT FREEZING POINT….

The noise inside the Birmingham Bowl is unlike anything heard all night as Acer comes running down to the ring. He climbs up onto the apron and propels himself through the middle ropes into a forward roll before exploding into a spear on Clarke James as he turns around…..Acer’s whole face is full of thunder as he beckons CJ up again and grabs the steel chair…..CRACK!

RJ: HE JUST HIT CLARKE JAMES INTO ANOTHER LIFETIME….

JT: I mean this may very well be an abuse of power but this crowd don’t care….

Uryu wobbles around, his body wracked in pain, and he seems stunned to see Acer standing there over the broken form of Clarke James. Acer throws the steel chair aside and he glares at Uryu…

RJ: THESE TWO GO WAY BACK….THE 6WF/TAW INVASION….IN THIS VERY BUILDING….MY GOD I’VE GOT GOOSEBUMPS….

JT: Now’s not the time to look a gift horse in the mouth, Uryu….SHOOT YOUR SHOT…

The whole arena seems to be rumbling as Uryu looks at Acer again and then down at Clarke James. He nods his head and makes a break for the corner as every fan rises to their feet…

RJ: JUNE 9th, 2023…….and all it took was a SPLIT SECOND!

JT: MY GOD…..HE HIT IT, BETTER THAN HE’S EVER HIT BEFORE….AND WE’VE GOT ANOTHER REF….THIS CAN’T BE HAPPENING…

RJ: MY WORD THIS IS IT….16 YEARS AND YOU’VE FINALLY DONE IT URYU….YOU’RE THE CHAMPION OF THE GODDAMN WORLD…

JT: This is unreal….there are fans in tears….

RJ: I can feel them in me…..sixteen years...wrote off time and time again….laughed at, scorned, put down, cast aside and told he wasn’t good enough….but every night he turned up and he busted his a55…..he fought them all….he gave respect to every single opponent….from dark matches with Rasta and Killer to the mountain top…..Uryu Ishida has walked through the fire…..to anyone who has ever been told they don’t belong, to give up because they’ll never make it….here is your proof that dreams do come true….and they have by god come true tonight for Nottingham’s Uryu Ishida…

JT: I really believe we may be witnessing the crowning of the most deserving world champion we have ever seen….

RJ: The ultimate professional…..night after night, week after week, city after city and country after country….he does all the press, all the tours, the fan signings, the conventions….he is the first through the door and the last one to leave at night….he lives and breathes this and finally, finally he has his reward…..I am damn proud to sit here tonight….no dammit I am standing…..that is our world champion right there….

RJ and Jeff Thadeus both rise to applaud and then we get a shot of Cameron Faith, Geoff Steel, Tyler Roth, Scott Harris and many others in the back standing and applauding what has just happened. All around ringside and every member of staff is standing and applauding as Uryu kneels in the middle of the ring, tears streaming down his face, as the referee hands him the 6CW Championship…

RJ: There will be enquiries, we know that….questions asked and analysis carried out….Acer’s involvement will be scrutinised and I dare say JJ Johnson is going to want to know exactly what his friend was doing out here tonight….

JT: Lines have been crossed….business, personal….it’s all one big corporate mess, no doubt….abuse of position and power….at the end of the day a 6CWF Board member has just cost an active roster member a world championship…

RJ: Clarke James is going to want answers, naturally....he’ll demand action or I daresay try to take some himself…

JT: Clarke has left ringside….as has Acer…..but we know this situation is far from done and there is going to be so many far reaching repercussions by time we get to next week’s Proving Grounds….

RJ: And when the time comes we will be there to offer our opinions and cover all the fallout….but not tonight….not right now….because right now this moment belongs to one man….right now this is a celebration of that man right there…..the 6CW World Champion…..Uryu Ishida is finally standing atop the mountain…..every drop of blood, sweat and tears in his career has paid off….he’s done it….he has made it….

JT: And he deserves it….he deserves tonight….you can see the pride in his face….you can see what this means to everyone here in this building….this is what hard work and sacrifice looks like, this is the pay off…...tonight Uryu Ishida has risen “From the Ashes” and he is the champion of the world….

The show ends with a huge pyrotechnic display and masses of confetti falling from the rafters as Uryu climbs up onto the top rope. He is still blinking back the tears as he kisses the 6CW Championship and then hoists it into the air.
