A few years ago Federer was dominating on all surfaces, bar clay. Nadal improved on other surfaces and his game seemed tailor made to beat Federer and he looked set to dominate.

Are we now seeing a Djokovic who has a game which is Kryptonite to Nadals game?

wait for a couple of years to see if Djokovic can reproduce this year after year.

I think the new djokovic who has his serve back and is fitter than ever is a very bad matchup for Nadal, and it is a matchup that Nadal will be unlikely to be able to shift. In the past when Novak would lose to Nadal one of three things would fail him. 1. his serve, all the changes and coaches ruined his serve for about 18 months 2. his fitness 3. his belief. None of those issues are problems anymore. Outside of the 3rd set Novak served brilliantly all match and at the same time got after the Nadal serve like he always does. Even in the last couple of years when Nadal would win against Novak, Novak would still return him real well.

I've always got the impression that Djokovic, even when losing, fancied the match against Nadal more than any of the other top players.

Nadal > Federer / Djokovic > Nadal
-----------------------

Quite right but I think on fast surfaces, Federer is still the best of the 3. On anything normal or slow it;s Djokovic.
