The Pirates over .500

Anyone else excited about the Pittsburgh Pirates been 3 games over .500 and only one game off the top of the NL Central at the half way mark in the season? No. O well, (I hope someone out there is)
After 18 losing seasons I really hope the Pirates finish over .500 this year. The Pirates have been losers since '92 and the days of Jim Leyland as manager and Barry Bonds Jr. when they finished with 96 wins. The most wins they have had in those 18 years was 79 in '97. I for one will be watching the Pirates for the rest of the season to see if they can end the losing streak and push for the playoffs.

The Pirates are now top of the Central by one game, this came after their 1-0 win over the Reds last night.

Word on the street is the might try and deal for Hunter Pence. I hope they do it. They owe it to the entire generation of fans who have never seen a winning team.
