Alex Riley - booking committee Empty Alex Riley - booking committee

Post by Adam D Tue 15 Feb - 11:54

I like him but he is being jobbed every week.

I know that comes with the territory for a heels lackie but surely, they should be giving him some credibility by giving him winable matches now and again.

He has a good look, good on the mic, looks quite good in the ring as well.

What happens next for him?

Turns face and goes up against Miz?
Drift away from Miz but remain heel?

How do you solve a problem like mAR-Ia? (I thought that was clever anyway!)

I think he needs to remain as a heel. The problem is transitioning him into a winning heel or at least a threatening heel.

Strangely the person I would like to see him go up against is JoMo. I think they could use the old tag team of JoMo and Miz to rekindle that feud but pass it off that Miz is so much above JoMo now that he doesn't even need to bother with him and will leave it to A-Ri. Can then have on RAW JoMo & R Truth v Miz and A-Ri leading to hopefully a decent match or series of them with A-Ri and JoMo.

I like that idea alot Zoot. To me A-Ri can really go far. I think he could play a goofy jock character better than Jack Swagger could. He has a good look , can talk and can wrestle. Think he is doing really well as the Miz's loyal side kick, he just needs to develop some sort of winning streak.

What I can see WWE doing is have cracks begin to apper in the relationship(Riley costing him matches accidentaly that sort of thing),then one show Miz will just explode with rage and beat him down and send him packing. One PPV match and then he'll drift out the mid-card for a few months before being fe'd.

Personally,I'd like to see it go the other way.Riley gets more and more angry as The Miz starts to blame him for things that aren't his fault and then it is A-Ri who snaps and just leaves The Miz in the middle of a match just to take a big beatdown from Nexus or something. That will then kick off a face-turn which will then see him go up against Miz,I'd like to see them given a couple of months with the match then ending on a Stip PPV like TLC.

I would then have Riley going into a feud with a midcard heel like Ted DiBiase.Give the two of them some mic time to try and get the feud over and see how it goes from there.Eventually if Riley reaches world title level(BIG if I know) there is always the potential to re-open the feud with The Miz if he is still up in that main event scene.
