Sherlock: BBC1
First topic message reminder :
Is anyone a fan from when it aired last year, or just discovering it after last nights repeat?
One of my favourite TV shows last year and watching it a second (Ok, maybe a third or fourth ) time around makes it easier to watch because you're use to the music sometimes going over the dialogue.
Series Two starts sometime in the autumn and it's been confirmed that the three stories this time are based on the books

Re: Sherlock: BBC1
Finally caught this for the first time.
unfortunately I missed episode one and went straight into episode 2 but still loved it (the one with the Chinese smugglers).
Cant wait for the next one already!

Re: Sherlock: BBC1
I'd say the Chinese Smugglers one is actually the worst episode they've done, so if you loved that, you're definitely in for a treat when you see the really top episodes. The 3rd of the 1st series, and the 1st and 3rd of the 2nd.

Episode 1 is on iplayer I think, or at least it was yesterday as I watched it then. Like you I finally caught it after wanting to for ages and was very impressed and I'm looking forward to hoepfully both of the series being shown in the next few weeks so I can catch up with all of it.Adam D wrote:Finally caught this for the first time.

Re: Sherlock: BBC1
I'm hoping the fact that they're showing the first series on I-Player means that they are building up to the third series coming back on TV. They did the same with Doctor Who, going from Series 5 up until the most recent episode showing a week before the series started again, I hope this is a similar thing.
It's been nearly 2 years now without Sherlock being shown.

Re: Sherlock: BBC1
I think it's due back on screen in the Autumn.
The problem has been scheduling, what with both leads becoming international big-budget movie stars in the meantime (notably both in the Hobbit films, Cumberbatch doing all sorts of stuff including Star Trek Into Darkness). I heard that filming started earlier this month though. I'm just glad that Benedict & Martin both want to continue doing this little BBC drama show...
I'd guess that Steven Moffat has also been a bit busy with the Doctor Who 50th anniversary.

I know why there's been a big break, doesn't make it any easier to go without it!

Great show who could forget the moment with all the dramatic stares and dramatic music and then bang "Staying Alive" hits

Re: Sherlock: BBC1
Though this could link in with the final problem: "i did tell you but did you listen" hence linking it to Staying Alive which would be the problem... just a theory.

Can't wait for the new series to start , but these will do for now
I do wish though that a certain star hadn't said something about the new series which in a way has spoilt it a bit for me already
