Took 3-40 today in the Lions' win over Sri Lanka 'A'. Official website describes him as 'lively'.

Why do we need Jon Lewis?

Yeah I don't think you can read too much into that one, being bowled out for 108 by Sri Lanka's second string in England isn't very impressive!

In answer to the OP, I'm hoping that the introduction of Jon Lewis will help Meaker get figures like that more consistently rather than once every now and then with a few 0-70 in between.

Fair point, carrotdude, but my fear remains that J Lewis will take the place of one of your youngsters as a short term fix, rather than be the catalyst cum mentor you see him being to our promising but still raw bunch of young quicks.
