Went to the game last night. Super game, shame about the result. From a Limerick point of view, im happy that we have a few decent seniors for the future.......Hannan(class act), Dowling(still a minor), Begley and Dempsey(top defenders). Pity Downes was injured, questions as to whether he should have started???

Great game that Galway V Limerick game, Limerick will be back if they can bring some of them young lads into the senior team and they have a top manager in O'Grady.

Dubs hosed antrim, it was a stroll.

The crowd sounded amazing. The loudest cheer had to be the hook and jab lift in the corner. breathtaking stuff.

Tipp start strongly leading 0-3 to 0-1 after 6 minutes.

Amazing how proper coaching at underage level can bring a county on to such a degree.

I did say Kerry would win handily. Mayo were leading but didn't look like they would win.

The media "conventional" wisdom is that this was a close game, a real test............................THIS WAS NOT A CLOSE GAME......................."Bring on the Dubs" some idiots from Kerry were singing outside Croke Park as if Dublin are their "Nemisis" or something............Dublin haven't beaten Kerry in the Championship since 1977(i think)......................It's a bit like Kilkenny hurling fans singing "Bring on Limerick" !!

It was an examination of a couple of aspects of Kerry's play. As soon as Mayo reverted to type, it was over.

Kerry forced their hand. Jack O'C got it right again.

Did you record the u-21 game JC? I cannot get over that hook, shoulder and jab lift. The greatest thing I have seen in the GAA all year.

Jack O'Connor is a master tactician and i will be amazed if they do not win the AI Final. I hope Dublin make the final, but Donegal will make that a 50 50 game............

They did show the incident's when they were finishing up, they brushed it under the carpet and just said it was out of character from Mayo. I thought the one where Maher(I think it was him) got punched by a Mayo player was pretty bad.

I was away for the weekend and did not see the match live but have seen it since. And while Kerry did not play at all well they picked it up in the second half and scored some fine points throughout the 70 mins. I suppose the big plus was the form of Cooper while the minus must be the quality of ball into Donaghy and the form of Declan O Sullivan. Galvin looked rusty but will improve. The defence is still a problem but apart from those three goal chances they did ok. Mayo as expected got loads of ball around the middle but do not have a decent forward. Also the final ball into their forward line left a lot to be desired. It was rushed rather than holding onto the ball and work another opening. But I suppose you need the quality forwards first to be able to to do that. Overall it was a satisfactory victory if not totally impressive. Maybe this is better than walloping Mayo and thinking Donegal/Dublin will be a pushover. Whether they can beat Donegal/Dublin in the final is pretty doubful at the moment.
