I wonder if Rees or Hibbert would stay with the squad before it goes to NZ to help Burns and Owens with things like throwing and to pass on tips and experience?

I would think Rees will certainly be there - he is the senior hooker and original Captain of the squad.

Do we really want Hibbard passing on tips about lineout work?

Well I'm not sure I'd want Bennett to be the most experienced (and reliable?) hooker in the squad, showing the younger guys how to do it!!!
But thats what we have, and Hibbert has had better throwing and all round work than Bennett, at least for the last season or so.

The reason I said Hibbert as well is that with Rees' injury I'm not sure he'd be able to throw much (maybe in too much pain), and all Hibbert was lacking was fitness, so if anything happens to any of our hookers, he'd already be in the squad (sort of) and ready for the call up.

I hope so anyway as we really need Burns to improve before the SA game as I can't see Owens playing much rugby as he's so short (I imagine) of match fitness.

You'd think so, but seeing the problems we've had over the years and his constant selection of Bennett when he was off form over the last few years - it does make you wonder...
