Biggest Whingers (just a bit of fun)

I'm trying to compile a list of the biggest most effective whingers in rugby and I need your help.

I misread an earlier article and thought this may be fun.

For all of his legendary status - Campo was/is a fairly decent whinger!

Matt Dawson or in fact just about every scrum half ever to play the game.

His level of cardiovascular fitness must be fantastic to allow him be play and give out for the full 80mins!

Mirco Bergamasco does tend to have a fair bit to say every game in flamboyant Italian style!

Mike Phillips: spends far too much time pointing at the ruck and whinging to the ref while waving his arms, instead of getting a boot in there and getting it out quickly himself. Also, looked like he was whinging to the McDonalds bouncers recently and they had to 'take him to the floor'!

Robshaw? I've seen the ref refuse to speak to him because at every breakdown he had something to moan about.

All scrum halfs, it is their job after all.

BOD does like a good old moan at the referee.

POB was born and raised in Southland, New Zeland.

Paddy OBrien is about as Irish as James OConnor. I'd be surprised if either them even know they have Irish name.

Two of his classic lines were

Stringer after the 'hand of back' in the HC final is a great whinging moment looking back.

BOD always looks like a whinger going up to the referee.

POC usually looks like a kid who has been caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

Dayglo was whinger but an effective one, he always got given time by the referee to explain his point and usually managed to 'inform' their view of things over the course of a game. A lot of captains at every level could learn from how he used to interact with refs without looking like an obvious whinger.

As a bit of fun, will the biggest whingers after the RWC be;
- Ireland: making excuses for not fulfilling their potential
- Wales: cos it's wales and when it goes wrong it's Gatlands fault
- New Zealand: if the unthinkable happens and they get knocked out

Borthwick - never ending chelping in the ref's ear, right pain in the bum.

It is absolutely refreshing to see a thread where SA is not mentioned.

We are always on the list for, bullies, foul play, boring, kicking, thugs etc.

But amazingly not on the whinging list.

IMO the Ref should have reversed that decision straight away, a part of football that I can't stand and it needs to be stamped out from our game right away.

judging by what it was like on this site after the last Wales v England match, it's got to be some of the English, they whinged non stop about the pitch, the anthems, the roof and just about anything else they could think of.

His incessant use of the word "numbers!" is perhaps one of the most irritating things during a game of rugby. That and him shouting "SHANE WILLIAMS!" everytime the little lad makes a jink and then gets thumped in the tackle...

Rugby whingers........ can I say Jiffy, i dont think he moans a lot, but his tone of voice just makes everything he says sound moany. He could sing "im happy, oh so happy" and still sound like hes moaning. Its a talent.

Any scrum-half who has ever played the game.
"Do this", "do that", "don't give me tapped rubbish off the lineout", "I want tidy ruck back", "does my bum look big in these shorts" etc. Sod off, ya wee tosspot. You play in the forwards for 80 minutes of getting your head disappearing up your own backside at scrumtime, your lifters dropping you at line out time, getting your back looking like Edward Scissorhands has run his hands down in at ruck-time all with some undernourished toolbag shouting orders at you non-stop and THEN and ONLY THEN can you tell me what I should or should not be doing.
The laws shoud be re-written so that anyone can punch the lights out of a scrum-half at any time without even as much as a free-kick being awarded against you. And I am including referees in the list of those permitted to discipline scrum-halves.

I think Dylan Hartley fels very wronged most of the time he's on the field, as if its a conspiracy
