US Open Qualifying

Couldn't see a thread that covered this so thought I would add one. Apologies if it has already been done.

As I type Laura Robson and Naomi Broady have both won the first set of their first round qualifying matches.

On the men's side Conor Niland is through to the second round of qualifying. Would love to see him make it through.

Niland nearly made it to the Wimbledon Main Draw this year if I remember rightly.

Great results for the British girls. Cannot wait for when Robson, Broady and Watson start to wrestle and wrangle for the British no.1

Yes he did so I really hope he makes it this time.

GB Tennis on twitter has given the following stats

Broady 1st serve % 56% - winning 90% of points on first serve.

Robson1st serve % 68% - winning 92% of points on first serve.

Pretty solid.

Very impressive stats indeed.

The future is looking bright

Ward up a break 3-1 in the first
