So Just How Far Will Wozniaki Get?

Wozniaki's GS record, for a number one, is very poor. I see she is at it again, playing in a tourney immediately before a GS (and probably winning it) which leads to two things. She manages to get points when none of the other top players are appearing and she is knackered during the slam.
Others have gone on about this before, I know. But the women's points system really needs to be sorted out to avoid having "undeserved" number ones. Just how early do you think she'll exit at New York?

I know little about women's tennis but it would really help the credibility of their tour if Wozi did win one. The women's tour definetly needs to see some consistent performances from the younger women. I have a friend who has made a lot of money betting the women's tour by always taking the underdog in crucial matchups. Too much parity has killed the tour.

Since she started going out with Rory Mcilroy he has won the USO in golf and her tennis seems to have gone backwards!

I think she will win the tournament, the reason she wasn;t playing well for so long is due to her wanting to replace her dad with a different coach. You can tell by her body language she was playing very much within herself, now though she will be more motivated than ever, just hope she doesn't meet Serena too early...

She is a pusher, grinder extraordinnaire and as such is very unlikely to beat a Serena or even Sharapova type player in the latter stages of a slam.

TBH I'm not enthralled by her game at all.

She plays a ridiculous number of tournaments, and by virtue of that is world number 1.

I mean, who on earth plays a HC tournament just prior to W.

The sooner Serena gets back to the top, the sooner some credibility will be restored to the languishing WTA.

Don't worry. If she loses early on she'll have plenty of time to film a few more ads whilst she still clings on to the no.1 position.

Honestly hope she can deliver on the big stage but have my doubts.

Is Mcilroy tonking Wozniacki? Lucky sod. I'd love to drive my nine iron down her fairway...

I think Rory started dating her AFTER he won the US Open. He's done oh dear all since then (on the golf course that is)

Serves him right.

I'd love to see Woz in the final. Fully deserve that, me opinion
