Brodus Clay Empty Brodus Clay

Post by JoshSansom Sun Aug 28, 2011 11:24 am

ADR's former bodyguard seems to be back in the WWE squashing people on SuperStars...

What are your thoughts on him? Potential superstar or just a fat muscle character to align to heels?

Well WWF went with Yokozuna and he became world champ. However, I can't recall that many 'fat muscle' guys climbing to the top. Other than the original NXT guys I don't think NXT has done much for the other participants. I really hope WWE pull the trigger with Tyler Black who I've heard is going to feature on a future series of NXT.

I think he'll be big, as he's just finished filming for WWE's latest movie. He's JR's pet project.

I actually think he would make a convincing monster heel. Not saying he'll reach the levels of a Vader, but he definitely has potential.

I think Brodus Clays biggest downfall has been being in NXT. He has a nice monster heel look about him and should have been brought into the WWE in that type of roll, maybe going through the midcard unbeaten.

I am a big fan of his and would love to see him have a monster heel run.

He couldn't get a better rub than if he was to go over Mark Henry after his recent run.

Exactly if they use him properly. Unfortunately the same can be said for Sheamus and the Nexus and history tells us the WWE have a track record of failing to utilise new talent properly.

Could a monster heel gimmick work for Brodus now. Mainly that type of role would be set from the debut of a wrestler.

Apparently he has legitimate credibility as a bodyguard etc and he is also HUGE. I think that they could make him into a monster heel whenever they want - also if / when they do, they can just write off anything before that as him "learning his craft" etc.

I can see him being the replacement for Mark Henry if MH retires though I suspect he would need some kind of manager to work with.

Henry has had a monster heel push, he has jobbed to most people over the last ten years and has still made it believable!

Mark Henry definitely hasn't been sensational these last couple of months and it makes you wonder what he could have been had he been used correctly or just that little bit younger.

I definitely believe that the match itself would probably be poor unless they added a gimmick but Clay going over Henry would be huge.

The other thing is if they decided to pull the trigger on him as a monster heel all they have to do is make him cut a promo saying that he's tired of being held back and doing things the WWE way; now it's time to do it his own way. If that means taking out everyone on the roster; then that's what he'll do kinda thing.

I see Clay more as a young Paul White than Mark Henry
