Fifa or Pro Evo?

Merge if already covered, but I didn't see a duplicate (after looking not-very hard).

Always a topic with two defined sides this one, but which game do you play and prefer; Fifa or Pro Evo?

They both have pros and cons and being someone who has played both at different times in the past, I would say Pro Evo has historically been my choice. I would say in the last few years Fifa has gotten better and better and Pro Evo has stagnated a little bit...

I definitely prefer the fluid feel to PES though, and the dribbling and the way you can take the ball past players is my favourite part. On Fifa's side is the passing, which I really enjoy and it feels a little less slapdash.

I'm still a bit stuck as to which to buy this year though, it may come down to which is released first!

So there's my two cents -- what do you guys think, and which will you be buying this year?

Fifa, always fifa for me, and so you know they've worked on dribbling this year as one of their focus points

really like the look of the momentum physics thing theyre doing for tackling as well. And the improvements for deadline day in career mode how you go through it hour by hour to make it more realistic

tough cos i like both, Fifa is better in terms of graphics and players and stuff, but pro evo's game is play is quicker and therefore better.

try both demo's before buying maybe?

Always end up buying both in recent years to try and see where the reviews are coming from in terms of Fifa, though often reading the pro's and con's you have to wonder how some of these guys got a job.

I've yet to play a Fifa that actually plays better than PES yet, both have horrendous difficulty sliders though. Its a shame neither game will really push the boundaries in terms of where there games can go but I suppose thats what comes of a regurgitating series.

Pro..... up to Fifa 08 came out.

Played both and prefer PES. I've preferred PES for years though so I'm prob a bit biased.

Just read that FIFA 12 is due for release 30th September, with PES 2012 coming 14th October...

My decision may well come down to my patience.

I was similar.

Fifa up to 03, then PES then back to Fifa in 08.

However the king of all football games is PES10 on the Wii!
