Had it down as Valencia = Ronnie myself. Can I add £14 mill for Hernandez? Long shot but its difficult to pick up a decent striker with Lisandro as my best alternative. He's a class act but nobody seems to take note of him.

The way I see it is

I rate Nani and Robinho fairly equal. Nani was not rated at all until last season whereas Robinho has always held a decent rating.

Prefer Ivanovic to Rafael so not too keen on that. Might consider including Cech for De Gea.

Why 2 for 1 in your favour?

Either Pique/Mert or Rooney/Drogba.

Even then part of me thinks I could do better elsewhere, in 2 separate deals for my 2 subs.

Disagree with that. Meireles is way > Veloso.

Meireles has 49 caps for Portugal, 8 goals. Veloso not even a regular in the Portugal squad, only 16 caps in 5 years. Not a regular for Genoa either.

Meireles was also voted the PL Fans player of the season last year.

Tbh, I'm not sure that everyone else will rate Smalling > Johnson. And I wouldn't want to lose out massively to risk maybe improving my defence a little.

I would never accept a deal like that

They're still improvements on my old defenders.
And Smalling only started for England and United at RB because Johnson and Rafael are injured.
