RIP Wade Belak

I can't believe I'm typing another article about the death of a hockey player during the off-season. This time it's Wade Belak who apparently committed suicide earlier this week.
As with Rypien and Boogaard, Belak was a fighter with a history of concussion and depression.
The NHL and the NHL's Players' Association have released a statement saying that they will be doing everything they can to prevent this kind of thing from happening again.

A shocking loss, especially given the events of this off season already.
Had the pleasure of watching Wade ice against my team when he played for Coventry in the lockout season. A lot of NHL guys phoned it in for the year, but Wade always played with passion and was clearly a great asset to his team.
