The Walking Dead Graphic Novels
I got the Walking Dead compendium for Xmas this year which goes up to the end of chapter 8 (I think).
Only the second GN I have read (the other being Watchmen which I thought was severely over rated) and it was incredible.
has anyone else read this?
SPOILERS ARE NOT ONLY WELCOME, THEY ARE ALLOWED. BUT PLEASE WARN PEOPLE AND EVEN PUT THEM IN INVISIBLE TEXT IF NEED BE!

I've not read it, I always look at it when I'm in my local comic shop but I'm easily swayed by Marvel and men in lycra costumes (perhaps thats why I love wrestling).
I do love all things zombie related so do you reckon it's worth trying?

its great - the cartoonist/ artist changed after the first volume but it doesnt effect things.
I have read to the end of the compendium (8 volumes I think) and it is excellent - completely gripped.
A lot of fans of the GN dont like the TV show but I think they work well together even though the stories have moved in different directions already.

I've not watched the TV show either.
Come payday I shall go in search of it and give it a bash. It's always good to try something new.

The tv series is fantastic, one of my favourite tv programs for a long time.
Think I will give the GN a try, but I've not read any before and I know the mrs will lay into me for it. She called me sad when I wanted to buy the Scott Pilgrim comic (I haven't yet)

Well if I like the GN I shall defo give the TV show a try.
I loved the Scott Pilgrim film and the comics are well worth a read.
If your Mrs laughs at you, buy her a comic that she'll appreciate and she'll soon turn to the geeky dark side. That's what I did with my fiance. I baught Marvel Zombies vs Army of Darkness for me and because she is a fan of My Chemical Romance I baught her a comic called Umbrella Acadamy which is written by MCR's lead singer. She loved it and is now broadening her comic horrizens.

She can't say too much she is a bigger wrestling fan than me!
The Scott Pilgrim film was great, I didn't really know what to expect from it. I always prefer films that I don't know much about when I see them (Kick Ass was the same)

Re: The Walking Dead Graphic Novels
I was worried about Kickass because I thought it was going to be one of those overhyped movies that turned out to be awful.
How wrong I was! It is fantastic and I highly recommend it!

just finished reading volumes 9 and 10 of the Walking Dead.
The TV series will never be able to go as dark as this has!

Kirkman has written a novel to run along side the comics and TV Show, all about the rise of the governer. Just started reading it last night well worth picking up.

Re: The Walking Dead Graphic Novels
I'm about a year late on this but I am finally getting into The Walking Dead, first series I was a bit m'eh on, 2nd series I totally forgot about halfway through but I've caught up with it on Channel 5.
But this has led me to download the GN Compendium this morning (well it's still downloading at the moment) onto my iPad. That'll be nice reading whilst stuck at Butlins next week!
