V2 WCC Round 1 Group 3

For pure wrestling ability then it has to be Tyson Kidd, probably the best wrestler in the WWE at the moment

I went for Bobby Roode over Truth. I like what Truth is doing as a heel, but I don't think he has the potential to go as far as Roode could.

One of the few TNA wrestlers I would picture in WWE as a success.

Oh man this is difficult.

Roode has the whole package. He's good on the mic, he's great in the ring, he's getting his push and making the most of it.

Truth is on fire right now. I've been really enjoying his run as a Heel. His work with Miz has been brilliant.

Tough choice.

Roode edges it but only just.

I've gone for Truth - because he and Miz are probably my favourite thing in wrestling for the past few years

Very tough call, but for me Truth just edged it, Roode is probably the more rounded performer of the 2, a total package, but Truth is the form of his life at the moment, his mic work post heel turn has been sensetional, intense but capable of showing humour, he is always captivating, in ring he's looked good and his combo with the Miz has far exceeded expectations ans is/was/will soon again be, one of the best things about WWE.

As far the other 4 go, Jesse Neal has no star qualities, Rob Terry is all look and no substance, Tyson Kidd is a good worker but light on charisma and RVD has been phoning it in since 2007

This is a tough one, I actually find it mental that RVD is the 'top seed' in this round as Roode and Truth are twice the performers that Van Dam is or ever was.

It is a two horse race made even more difficult that both are in the best form of their respective careers but I am going to vote for R Truth here as he is without a doubt the top heel in the WWE at the moment alongside Henry. If someone had piped up and said that this time last year they'd have been laughed off this site. He has proved so much people wrong since he turned heel and definitely deserves a good run in this competition.

Rob Terry; only reason he is a wrestler is because he is Hogan's wet dream.

Jesse Neal; hate the tag team and does nothing for me in the ring.

Tyson Kidd; great worker but doesn't have that wow factor.

RVD; just retire please.

Although I know Roode is hugely popular and I can tell he's a decent wrestler, very much old school style, I just don't think he's as much of the bees knees as people think.
For me this is the weakest round so far. I picked Roode but mainly because he didn't have that strong a contender against him, R-Truth's heel is beginning to grate on me now and before that the face character was shocking.

RVD wasn't even a consideration. He is agile and decent in the ring when he can be bothered. That hasn't been for years. He's arrogant beyond belief. That whole "Rock stars" thing when he joined TNA is nonsense and tells you enough about him. His mind is probably too baked to tell the real world from his fantasy world.

He does wear nice romper suits though

Is it not about their whole careers? what has any other person done up there that tops RVD's career its ok having potental but its not a pick on who has the greatest ammount of potental is it?

Good evening and welcome to the V2 Wrestling Champion Competition (V2 WCC)

The competition consists of 96 wrestlers: 40 from the WWE 30 from TNA and 26 from other promotions around the world

The 96 wrestlers are drawn into 16 groups of 6 and will take the format of a poll thread, all you need to do is vote for the guy in that group you beleive is the best taking into account as many factors as you can: draw, championships, in ring ability, promo's etc and of course pesonal fav.

Sorry, but right there in the rules section...It says as many factors as you can. Potential is a factor I'm taking in to account.

Yes RVD has had success, but he's been dialing it in for years and hasn't set the world alight for a long time. He got a big celebration when he won the TNA title, but they made a big deal out of that because the WWE guys were stuck in Europe and were trying to do something big. Didn't work though did it?

All I've heard from him recently is that the young guys have a bad attitude and don't respect him. Respect is a 2 way street and has to be earned.

But thats TnA all over isnt it and when exactly has Roode or Truth set the world alight?

The 5 match series between MCMG and Beer Money didn't have people saying "That's how tag team wrestling should be done"?

I've never been a big fan of RVD, even at his peak. Yes he has a fairly unique moveset but there is something seriously lacking in him.

It was two TEAMS not Roode by himself

I honestly couldn't care about what they have done in the past otherwise we would be mo0st likely crowning Taker as overall winner when quite simply he is well past it and constantly breaking down with injuries.

Truth has been on fire this year and he gets my vote.

Why would we crown Taker as overal winner there were better out there than him??

Because only active wrestlers are included and HHH is hardly loved on these boards so you would most likely see an Angle vs Taker final and with Taker still being in the WWE he would attract the more casual fans.

I personally would not no but he has been included in it but I take it you agree he is not the best about yet if we were to take in what they have done in the past then he probably would win.

The only real part of the past I will take into account is the ability to draw which RVD would win but his in ring work, mic skills etc. are below that of Roode and Truth right now.

I've always felt that RVD is one of the most overrated wrestlers in the business, never once have I got excited for him in a match.

RVD wasn't even a consideration - He's lazy & believes way too much of his own hype - His best run was as TV champion in ECW nearly 15 years ago... He blew his big chance in WWE

Roode hasn't done enough on his own yet although looks to have great potential

Truth 12 months ago no one cared about his character but with a heel turn & some excellent work developing a new character he is all of a sudden a heat magnet - Definately gets the vote here for me

Tyson Kidd Solid worker needs a better haircut & gimmick to look a bit more believable

Jesse Neal unique look but thats about it

RVD his in ring ability is 2nd to none from that list

Roode is by far the best in this group IMO, he is the best heel out of that group and this year alone showed by a distance he is the most charasmatic face, he mixes a real 80s style psychology with a 90s style aggression, he's got the best look, the best ground ability, the best potential to market, well proven as a singles before Beer Money and despite being a member of a tag team in a faction managed to shine through as it's brightest star

R truth wins this group with 21 votes and bobby Roode is the runner up with 15 both progress to the next stage along with Sting, Chris Hero, Shelton, Cody Rhodes and Mr Anderson from the previous groups.
