Some realism please..
Forget the red card.
This will be remembered as a brave performance but IMO this was the worst we have played this tournament because we were up against such a bad team and yet couldn't get the win. This was our worst kicking performance, our worst line out performance and our worst game in terms of composure. Against a worthy semi final team we should have been stuffed and yet we were always in it.
Brave, yes, but I'm gutted because we weren't good enough to beat a terrible French side.

Hope Priestland is fit for the play-off, because Hook and maybe Stephen Jones also, ought to be dropped from the squad to show how butchering such great opportunities can't be accepted.
The lack of consistency and composure of Hook was astounding. After knocking over a very good kick when we were on even terms he packs it in and misses what should be sitters by int'l standards, let alone in a game where every point is vital.

REALISTICALLY we only had the choice of hook or jones , gatland chose the wrong one. We could have won if jones had been on from the start with the game he plays. those two were our options, hook wrong option.
hook lost all composure i agree with knowsit, the sitters he missed , no excuse sorry hook fans. Ok jones missed his conversion, drop goal was off his non kicking foot, due to french pressure on him.
REALISM---Jones is a 10, hook isnt, Jones may not be the player he was, but he was the only choice, we didnt have anyone else and people should be REALISTIC enough to accept the fact that even an older player at 10 like jones is better than hook .
He's blown it, but there we are, is it hooks fault ? he should never have been given the chance to stuff up in such an important match. all he keeps saying is he wants to play 10. that doesnt mean he can, .
he's not a scapegoat,he's just the man who should not have been on at 10
