clap

he is to Eng what Tendulkar was to India through 1990s....one man show...required to overhaul even modest totals.

It was Eng's good fortune that he was dropped at the start.

Neverthless Eng can go home feeling a bit less sick

Pietersen didn't even play when we beat you 3-0 in ODIs in England IIRC

One look at KP's one day form over the last 3 years shows that this thread is utter bullpoop.

There is no harm in starting a new thread. KP played well and took the match away from India. Well done, end of the story.
Eng salvage some pride on an otherwise demoralising tour.
As far as real cricekt is concerned, can you pleae enlighten me on the fact as how many ashes Eng has won in past 20 years?
How many tests Eng has won against India since 1983?

SInce 1983 ( Because India became proper cricket playing country then)
India has beaten Eng in 12 tests and Eng have won only 9 tests.

Much ado about nothing, smell the coffee guys.

why is it relevant to compare the records of the teams over the last 28 years to judge who is currently the best test side ?

Why was it necessary to quote ashes and indian series win in TEST when KP was being congratulated for single handedly with the bat providing a consolation on an otherwise ignominous tour in limited overs.

KP dissented at being given out and found guilty of breach of code of conduct.

KP played okay yesterday, but that doesn't make up for his ODI form!

IMO KP should be in Tests and T20 only. Retiring from ODI's would probably aid him.

your logical ability makes me laugh, quoting my comments on other boards or posts is completely irrelevant. If you have any replies then please mention them or else you have started to sound like a WUM.

Then you must argue on the facts rather than making personal accusations and calling others WUM. This post was about congratulating Pietersen, someone mentioned India in tests and I jsut gave a stats comparing India vs Eng stats in tests which is fairly constructive comment.
Have you got to say anything on it?

yep just ignore them. hopefully another good year of wins next year and you won't see them anywhere.

the summer was lovely with them all hiding under their bridges.

I am not discrediting Eng for their win in the summer. The question was raised about the longer format and I have provided you with the stats for a considerable period over which spremacy can be debated.

Eng too had a torrid time against Aussies losing 5 or 6 ashes in a row. I dont see any Eng fans mentioing that!

Ben stokes's bowling would have been effective in india. Shame he is injured, otherwise he would probably go, his power batting is effective, and apparently he wont be fit to bowl till next summer.
