Wade Barrett Asks the Questions

hi everyone,
just wanted to get peoples opinions on the few videos that have been out with Wade Barrett going around back stage with a camera. i found them quite funny? anyone seen them? thoughts?

I personally love them and show just how great Barrett is on the stick, he always makes me laugh and I think that they could actually put this on TV as a little segment, it would really make my day and if they decided to turn him heel it could really get him over.

It would certainly get him back in the thoughts of the fans at least and that can only be a good thing.

I think these kind of videos work against what he's supposed to be doing, he's trying to come across as a no nonsense badass then posting things like this which only endear him to people who he really should be wanting to hate him

All this shows for me is that not many people know how to be a true bad guy these days

Well even if he took this style on the show and in a heel method like cutting edge it would be a valuable asset to have. This only shows how much work Barrett puts into his persona that he can then come across like this.

True. But I think he could pull off a Sheamus face turn of he tried. In fact he probably could be more successful. Although he is an awesome heel and needs to be wearing a belt sooner rather than later!

I agree, but I think he really should be more over than Sheamus. He took to the main event so easily with the Nexus but WWE decided to bury it instead of creating Barrett into a bonafide main eventer. It was like they realised it had all been too easy so had to create their own problems.

I think Sheamus is just outrght better, he has a great moveset that can look devastating, for me he is better on the mic than Barrett, I think he has a better look, quite unique although far from perfect, has a better body than Barrett and is far more mobile than him.

Is it because he's English/British and people just want one as a Champ?

I am a huge fan of Sheamus for the reasons you stay, however I think when the Nexus angle begun Sheamus had fallen so behind and Barrett just looked right in the main event, perhaps because of the Nexus although I am not sure, that it's surprising to see them in the positions they are now.

I don't think there is any bias because of his nationality, other than perhaps I prefer him on the mic because his accent sounds more familiar and I think he sounds genuinely tough. I like Barrett and think he has what it takes to be a top main eventer, same with Sheamus to be fair.

Was Sheamus not the World Champion who had just put Triple H on the shelf when Nexus when Nexus became hot as hell?

I remember he ran away from them and feeling it would be hard to recover from.

I wasn't talking about you being biased toward Barrett, more just people in general, Americans don't seem to rate him anywhere near as high as Brits

I really like these videos - they are really funny. Wade Barrett is an excellent performer.

I love the Heath Slater one.
And I like the way the stage-hand guys juts stares like he's completely dumbfounded - or just stupid.

I hope there are more to come.

I'm going to go against the popular opinion here, and say that IMO Barrett is light years ahead of Sheamus both on the mic, and, potentially, in the ring. Barrett is one of the top 3 in the company on the mic IMO (behind Punk and Miz) and I'm not just saying this out of British pride, it's how I genuinely feel. Both as a face and as a heel, I actually find Sheamus quite boring both in the ring and on the mic- his moveset is monotonous, and his 'funny' stories about his Irish uncle are just cringeworthy.
