What will close Wrestlemania??

Just read this....

As of this week, creative has not decided on whether to close WrestleMania XXVII with The Undertaker vs. Triple H or Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson confronting John Cena—which would indicate that Cena vs. The Miz is the main event. Internally, Michael Cole vs. Jerry Lawler is considered the third biggest match on the show.

Shocked to see that they actually consider the Cole v Lawler match above the WHC?!

What are peoples thoughts on what should close the show?

Wrestlemania is spelt with an "e"

The quote says it's considered the third biggest match on the show, ie below Triple H vs Taker. That would place it above Edge vs Del Rio, which is sad but not surprising.

I think they've got to close the show with Cena and The Rock.

It's got to be John Cena and the Rock, that's a 'Wrestlemania moment' whichever way you cut it. Just hope it doesn't turn into a hugfest

A WWE or World Heavyweight title match should pretty much always go on last. Last year was an exception because you had Shawn Michaels' career ending and given the way they'd built up the match (and because of their encounter at Wrestlemania 25) it was understandable.

The Undertaker v Triple H just isn't big enough to close the show, no matter how much WWE want you to believe it is. The fact that the creative team have been told not the mention their match at Wrestlemania17 in the build up says it all really. Just makes me wonder what they'll do when it's time for an 18-0 video package that goes through all of Taker's victories at Wrestlemania. Will they pixilate Triple H when it comes to Wrestlemania 17?

And Michael Cole v Jerry Lawler is the 3rd biggest match on the card?!?!

As i have much love for Cena and Rock i would love to see a moment at Wrestlemania between the 2.

It's only 3rd biggest because of Austin.

I can see Cena winning the belt and celebrating and then Rock coming down to the ring and staring down which will lead to either...

a) Handshake into a Rock bottom, Rock motions the belt.

b) Handshake into a hugfest.

c) The stare down and Miz takes them both out.

b) Gawd I hope not, but knowing the WWE it's the most likely

c) I know Vince has a hard on for the Miz right now but surely not! In the event that both Cena and the Rock get taken out at the same time there's only one man doing it - Triple H.

If they really want to get The Miz across and make us believe in him as a 'main eventer' how perfect would that be?

The biggest PPV of them all ends with Miz standing over 2 of the biggest stars in the history of the company.

I would be disgusted!

It's a case of wheather The Miz can handle it though, do you think so?

I like the idea of them pushing him further and it would be a risk to do that but i hope they wouldn't waste him after that sort of push.

I love the idea of it mate, I just don't like the Miz being the guy to do it.

Someone like CM Punk or Alberto Del Rio - who I think can carry the ball for years to come - would be perfect for it. But when I think of the Miz I just think "Meh!"

As for Punk, i think he's already there, it wouldn't be needed.

The Rock only has 1 film in production so i wouldn't write off him coming back for a short stint.

I don't think Punk is there mate. Right now I'd say he's in the Chris Jericho role where he'll get put in a main-event if need be but more often than not he'll be an upper mid-carder. He's a sort of main-event fail-safe.

Normally I'd have thought that he'd be up next for Cena once he's done with the Miz but Cena and Ziggler had a mini-feud on RAW and Smackdown just recently so it might still be too fresh in people's memories for WWE to go down that route.

Having said that, the same can be said of the other candidate CM Punk, although Punk's got the back story of having multiple wins over Cena in their mini-feud.

What do you reckon they'll do with Dolph?

I think they've seperated him to see if he can draw real heat on his own.

If he can then i reckon he's a shoe in to become a champ pretty soon. If not, a feud with Bryan will get him the US title before possibly finding him a mouthpiece again.

Order wise Cole v Lawler may be the third match from the end but last year the godawful 10 diva tag match third and higher up the card than Edge v Jericho for the WHC.

Dolph moaned last night to the press about his short world title reign, he'll probably get buried Sheamus style for that.

I reckon it's a work personally.

The Diva's match will probably be thrown in between two big matches to take the crowd down a notch so they don't over-excite themselves before the main event.

I think at this year's Wrestlemania, whoever is in charge of the Undertaker's 'fireball' pyro should set it off during random entrances.
