Well Done Spurs

As the title says well done the boys in white - so proud to be in the last 8 of Europes elite competition - Sandro different class again last night.

Bring on anyone in the next round.............except the Catalans!!

Hats off to Spurs last night, may I ask Spurs fans if Gallas is now truly accepted into the fold after his goal line clearance?

I wanted them to go through but on penalties cos penalty shoot outs when you're a neutral fan are awesome!

Reckon they'll get Chelsea in the quarters.

I actually think they will get Barca and would love to see a fully fit Bale have a go at them (that's if Spurs could actually get the ball at any point in the game).

Think Spurs would be able to cope better in the Nou Camp than Arsenal did?

It’s easy to say that Arsenal are above Spurs in the league etc so therefore are better, but Spurs have quite a number of players now that are genuine quality.
Gallas at the back has seen it all, a midfield quartet of Lennon, VDV, Modric and Bale is the best in the Premier League IMO and has huge pace down both wings, that could make Barca more cautious. Defoe looks in a rich vein of form and again has huge pace while Crouch can be a handful for anyone with his height.

I will come in for some stick here but I’ll put my neck out and say that yes I believe Spurs could be more of a threat to Barca than Arsenal were. The raw pace of Spurs counterattacking could actually hurt Barca.

Hero i see what you are saying and before last nights game i would have taken Barca - but after seeing the way Milan kept the ball with ease at times last night - NO WAY!

I would fancy our chances against anyone but Barca - Madrid included!!

And Sandro really looks like he is developing into a top quality holding midfielder - he stopped everything last night

And Gallas was immense - will always be accepted in my eyes!

I agree with you Hero.

If Spurs can break up the Barcelona attack and actually hold onto the ball without losing it back immediately then I think they've got a really good chance.
