I figure Cotto's smart enough to not let Mayorga get to him, and once Mayorga didn't get the response he wanted he figured his plan hadn't worked. It'll be interesting come tomorrow night.

should be an easy nights work for cotto, dont think mayorga has the stamina to go past 7 rounds with his intesity. cotto normally starts well and boxers smart, mayorga will put pressure on his so i expect some of this fight to be competitive, id put my money on cotto stopping mayorga in the 10th due to mayorga not throwing much back

Wouldn't surprise me. I know Mayorga has this rep for being a rough guy but he's been stopped before, he's not too far off forty, and he's not fought in how long? Ok, so a quick check tells me he had a warm up a few months back, but before then it was '08. Just sorta smacks of Don King sending another of his guys out for as much money as it will make him (King).

Anyone hear mayorga say cotto can't box on the back foot! If he thinks that he is going to be in for a horrible surprise.

I didn't hear that, but I did just read he'd been given an easy deal on a rape charge in return for donating large amounts of money to his government. Dunno if it's true, I read it on his Wikipedia page.

Mayorga will come out like a train; but he will probably be out of stamina be about the 4th round.

I'm more interested in Martinez-Dziniruk though to be honest.

I don't rate the kid who Martinez is fighting. It should be an easy win for Martinez.
