Post by dogtooth Wed 14 Dec 2011, 10:09 am

i was so tempted to leave the title as 'henson'.

so henson is ready to make his comeback, his latest comeback

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_union/16171354.stm

i have always been a fan of the orange but i dont think an away match in europe, when we are doing so well, is the right time or place to give gav his first outing.

the christmas derbies are the time to give this guy a run out.

i am excited about henson playing at the blues but i think we need to be cearfull where and when we use him. as much as i am a fan i think henson's job at the blues is as bench cover until he can force his way into the team by playing better than the fh, center or fb options

i can wait another week to see gav run out.

The Christmas pantomimes are the time to give that guy a run out. Can't believe any team is still seriously considering him as a viable member of their squad.

I actually think a match away from home and outside of Wales is very good for his first start, at least he'll be away from the Welsh media spotlight as much as possible. It would have been preferable if it was a Pro12 not a Heineken game, but guess he's got to start at sometime. Not the guys biggest fan, but good luck to him.

If he last longer at Cardiff than this year's Christmas decorations then I'd be quite surprised.

Maybe he should just go ahead and start his own (5th) region. He's a natural ME player so it would be a good option.

Then you'd have... let me see... The Ospreys, The Dragons, The Blues, The Scarlets and The Oranges.. (I know, you could see that one coming a mile away Wink... which was always his intention of course)

Ok back to the rugby

would it not make sense for him to get some game time and hence match fitness with few games for Cardiff rfc in the Premiership rather than being thrown in to an important HC tie.

Call me old fashioned

Do you mean because of ability or attitude, or both? From an attitude point of view then he's a risk. But, there must be something that all of these top coaches see in him that make them want to take the risk. Even Toulon's coach described him as a rare talent, but Henson wouldn't give up international rugby to stay.

If, and it's a big if, (the biggest if!) someone can get his attitude in check then I think he'll make a great regional player simply because he is a very good player and I don't think you become sh*t that quickly. There's been players who've had 2 seasons out with injury but come back to be still very good players. What's the difference with Henson? Timne out is time out. I don't think the time out of the game will impact too much as others have proven that they can comeback.

It's all about the attitude though...

the man is a genuine talent , I would love to see him get some form back
get in the 6ns, organise the defence and give us some UNSELFISH (unlike mr h) creativity, best off loader, best at short passing putting players in to space.
despite all else , he reads the game so well, off the ball positioning is excellent. all those things he had from day one as a player, bet he can still do it. we need you gav !!!

Got stuck watching it one night when my date and I came home after an evening out. Henson and that gold-digger were sat in the hot tub sipping cocktails and finding it difficult to have a conversation. You could almost feel the "awkward moment." Henson has the personality of a goldfish. laughing

The joys of Uni life... I just hope Gav doesn't get injured. It's the no.10 jersey he is after and blues fans have been crying out for a better fly-half, so here may be his opportunity. I hope he graps it, with both hands. After a MOTM performance he can get back into the hot tub.

He could fit into the centre as well. Laulala doesn't look like he gives a toss at the moment to be honest.
