who do people think will be in come summertime?

thoughts?

A lot of the same names are getting flashed around (Krancjar, N'Zogbia, Taiwo etc) but it really depends on how many players leave... I think our teams pretty strong when everybody is fit an available! I would say we definitely need a new left back... so Taiwo would be good as I hear he's available for free!

Otherwise I won't be surprised if players are just replaced as they leave... cut down on wages and not spend too much. We have a lot of good young players who are basically ready for the first team though I think... Would love to see Bannan, Delph, Delfouneso, Weimann, Clark all get a real go next season.

Would love Krancjar and maybe Jarvis if Ashley Young leaves (hope he doesn't though!).

I really have no idea what will happen in the summer, could either be brilliant or terrible for us!

the others i do rate (especially bannan and delph)

if petrov,ash and ireland we will see them more im guessing next season..

im guessing we'll get zeb larsson (free), would like us to land graham dorrens (which will be doubtfull unless west brom go down).

but yeah ive heard the same names flying around..

I like Delfouneso... the ball just kind of sticks to him when he has it. I'd like to see him play in the championship for a few months and get some regular football! Apparently Weimann has played OK for Watford so far.

Larsson would be good signing, not sure he'd get in our starting line up. Same with Dorrans! I do like them both though.

Haha yeah, that's where I've seen them also. Hopefully Houllier will be able to build a squad around our better players instead of selling them off like in the last few seasons! Looking forward to seeing the likes of Makoun get a full season!

well if we get 15mil plus for ash young (cash only) there will be money to spend.
also looks like there is a clear out of the defence (if the rumours are true)
so more to spend.

i think harry will get young and we'll get walker and kanjar (or even bentley who i didnt rate until i've seen him at blues)

True true... I hope we can keep hold of Cuellar and Collins in defence at least! I really rate them.

I'd happily take Krancjar and Walker for Young. Albrighton can play on the wing and Krancjar would offer us something different in the middle.

i think albrighton has come on leaps and bound too this season.
1st time i saw him last season was only for 15minutes against wolves and thought he would be good.

i really like Collins in defence (best defender we have i think), Cuellar was rubbish last season. his become good this season lol.

How true are the rumours on Young wishing to leave? And do you guys rate him?

very atm..
commercial papers (mirror, sun, etc) have all said he wants to go....
i think if we can bag a swap plus ££ or just cash, we can strengthen our squad without him....
saying that though im happy with the devil i know and it would be rubbish to loose him...
you can still tell there is somthing missing without james milner

I think if Houllier remains then these guys will definitely leave: Warnock, Ireland, A. Young, Dunne. I would not be surprised to also see any of Petrov, Reo-Coker, Luke Young and James Collins go.

I think A. Young leaves regardless of who our manager is.

As for who comes in, I think to a certain degree it depends on where we finish in the league. We all know that the likes of Krancjar, N'Zogbia and Taiwo are the right level of player we should be looking at, but it seems as though persuading talent to make a go of it in Birmingham (whilst keeping wages sensible) isn't so easy, unfortunately. It would be a lot easier if we were to finish in the top half of the table...
