Not sure if they there is a set criteria for scores, but surely there should be a bigger differential than one point between Amla (two fifties) and Kallis (a pair). Also, how Boucher outscores Amla is truly baffling!

If I was allocating descriptions to marks when deciding upon scoring criteria, I would go for something like this:

10 - World Class
9 - Outstanding
8 - Excellent
7 - Very Good
6 - Good
5 - Mediocre
4 - Poor
3 - Awful
2 - Last chance
1 - Dropped

Obviously the lowest two descriptions do not just relate to the test being scored, but I think 8 differentials in match performance are more than enough.

He was dreadful in the first innings though and only really had one good spell with the ball all match. I don't think that deserves a higher rating than Morkel who bowled decently without being quite at his best or picking up the rewards throughout the match.
