606 Pick the Golden Oldies - Oldest International Teams

After veering wildly off topic on another thread, rather unusually for this forum, 606 has struck upon the formation of the oldest team of former internationals still playing rugby. This is an England team, but feel free to post your own country's team (must be the oldest possible average age) or even a world team...?! Must be full international caps, and still playing rugby.

Moody has retired... Martyn Williams would be a good shout.

Was thinking about this lastnight, some real greats getting on now..

Sharpe and Samo could possilbly make a World XV, O'driscoll too..

Of those who've recently retired Patterson, Williams, Wilkinson and G.Thomas possibly the start of an Oldie Lions team?

If your going to squeeze a FH (Walder) in as a centre surely Wilko (32) would be a better shout?

This is the England team which is why Nugget isn't in.

For Wales I'd have Martyn Williams, Shane Williams, Stephen Jones and Mefin Davies all in.

I figure still playing professionally is the cut-off. Though Christian Cullen is playing in a touch rugby tournament this weeked ... (in a team with Umaga, SBW, Weepu and Benji Marshall).

Apparently Sanderson retired at the beginning of the season.

They need to be pro or semi-pro, but not local pub side stuff.

Nice work KiwiwRedEvil tha'ts the leading oldest average age so far! And a quality side.

A Lions oldies side would be a superb shout! And by the way, I didn't have Wilko in, as we'd agreed he would make the youth side, it's not so much about the quality as getting the age up!

Alan Bateman is at Heol y Cyw RFC. He still plays center. Aged 46, still not retired internationally last cap was 2001.

Get your Welsh team up there then!
