Huw bennett to the blues?

Talk down the liberty that huw bennett has been in talks with the blues but is also considering offers from france

Really, if I was him I would head to France. I doubt he got mant seasons left at the top level so why not cash in.

I will get some gen from a friend who works with his dad in Ebbw still Bennett the Post.

Not sure that would be a good signing for the Blues to be honest - they've got a few Hookers and could do better

The Blues do need a quality hooker, and Bennett is not getting much gametime at the Os. Could be a good value for money deal for the Blues.

g. williams and trthomas were always in competition for the starting 2 shirt. It would probably be the same with Bennett and TRThomas

I could only see it being a good thing. Hes only 28 and his best years could still be ahead of him. Hibbard is first choice at the Ospreys and he isn't getting much game time. I think he's a better player than Thomas and would probably be first choice if he went to the Blues.

To be honest he is probably the second best hooker in Wales behind Matthew Rees and is a better player than Richard Hibbard. As I said on other threads the Blues need to trim £900 off their £4.4m wage bill BEFORE signing anyone, and Bennett isn't going to be on less than 150k-180k a year.

I don't think he will go to the Blues, I think he may try and play the Blues off against the Ospreys for a higher wage deal. I think he has young children so a move to France may not be a good family idea.
