WWA Season 2 sign up page

We are going to crack on with season 2 in a couple of weeks.

Please sign here if you wish to take part.

Season 2 Rules

The aim of the game is to be a GM of your own roster.

Each GM is randomly assigned a roster at the start of the season.

You can transfer wrestlers with other rosters, whether it be a straight swap, an exchange, or a swap also involving cash.
Each GM has a starting budget of £80m.

Your roster sheet is to show your current roster, together with confirmation of transfers in and out and your remaining budget.
Maximum size of roster = 25 wrestlers (this includes GM's, but not an announce team)

Please confirm transfers on the transfer confirmation sheet.
Foreign/Legend wrestlers can be bid for at various stages, please see that thread for further details.

You go head to head against other GM's in your league home and away by posting a show (tactics)

Tactics are to be posted by midnight every Friday, details are on the tactics sheets within the leagues.
Failure to post tactics will result in a loss for that week.

Saturday to midnight Monday is the voting for the shows. You do not vote on your own league.
PM AberdeenSteve with the results of YI's fixtures (i.e. which wins due to being the better show)
PM Y I Man with the results of AbderdeenSteve's league.

3 points for a win, 1 for a draw, 0 for a loss.

Every Monday the Board of directors will confirm 1 injury to your roster, the wrestler can not wrestle for the period they are injured. Details on the injuries sheet in each league.

WWE & TNA will make you an offer for 2 of your wrestlers each Monday. Details are on the offers thread in each section.

Question: how long can each bullet be? As I like to write a quite in-depth finish to the match but dint really write much before that. E.g.

Orton vs Rhodes
1) Match even to start with, Rhodes takes advantage
2) Orton attempts to get back into match, Rhodes prevents this
3) at the 15 minute mark we enter the finishing sequence. Rhodes goes for Cross Rhodes... Reversed. Orton with a back body drop, suplex, rope ddt. Sets up for punt. Interference from Dusty Rhodes. Rhodes roll up, kick out at 2. Rhodes with a beautiful disaster attempt... Reversed RKO out if nowhere! 1....2....3!

The in depth aspect is what was causing the problems. Im ok with the example you have given (as long as each and every bullet point doesn't become like the last one), but if others choose to keep it simple as per the template in my OP, then they can not be marked down on scoring because of the length.

Im in, but I thought we could be more in depth when it comes to storylines and things. Is it matches that is purely important?

Not 100% on how things go down but I'll have a whirl and see how I get on.

Backstage segments, promos etc are all good. But the length of the matches is something we wanted to shorten as people do not have time to spend a full night writing out every detail for every match.

As long as the main points are put across, that is what matters.
It is the roster and the feuds you make that get you the votes, rather than how much detail is included in the matches.

Only the last point of my matches will be like that, and probably only title matches, main events or end of feud matches. The likes of primo vs masters would be very short

Do you PM us the roster were getting? Or do we start from scratch?

We are in the process of sorting the pots out.
i.e.

Pot 1 - Raw
Pot 2 - Rest of Raw
Pot 3 - SD
Pot 4 - ROH
Pot 5 - Divas
etc
etc
(we have about 14 - 15 pots)
1 wrestler from each pot goes into a roster. (Drawn randomly)
Then the GM's are randomly paired up with the completed rosters.

As long as I get Orton...

Hmmmmmmmmmmm Sounds good, I don't know any one from Ring of honour lol, But am sure there just as good.

Of all the current main eventers he's the only one I "need" for my plans for season 2. Already got my roster planned out pretty much

Can I ask, instead of the bullet points. Would you consider having up to 8 lines for a match, and within the 8 lines you can be as detailed as you want to be. Main events get 10 lines, then extended at PPV's?

I just think it looks a lot better than bullet points. Also there should be a point deduction if you go over. Just an Idea

An example of one which is 9 lines:

The match starts off with both men sizing each other up and with neither man able to get the advantage. After 10 minutes of back and forth action The Undertaker takes the advantage. Busting Lesnar open with a vicious chair shot before hitting a last ride powerbomb sending Lesnar over the top rope. Lesnar manages to get to his feet but the deadman hits a suicide dive onto Lesnar which sends both men through the cage. After both men recover Lesnar reverses a Tombstone attempt into a Brock Lock attempt which in turn gets reversed into a Hellsgate. Lesnar manages to fight the dead man off before hitting a powerbomb through the announce table. Brock drags taker back into the ring and makes the pin but only gets a 2 count. Lesnar goes for an F5 but it gets reversed into a tombstone. It hits! But Brock somehow kicks out at 2 and 3/4! Taker looks furious brings the steel steps into the ring, he goes for a tombstone but Brock blocks it, Taker stops the spear attempt by Brock with snakeeyes. Taker then goes for Old School but gets caught by Brock. F5 onto the steel ring steps. Taker is gushing blood and is completely motionless. Brock pins Taker on the steel steps... 1........2...........3!

Even cutting that down to 8 lines is far too much. 10 lines for a main event is also too much.

It would exactly the same with bulletpoints though? I just think its far more easier to link highlights of the match in sentences than using bullet points but that's just my personal choice. 8 Lines would be accetable IMO

So we now have 15 people, we need one more to make 8 per league then sign up is closed.

How about 3 leagues y I?

We have 15 at the moment, so it wouldn't work out in terms of everyone having 1 fixture per week.
Just need one more for 8 per league.
