Does Co. Tyrone have a holigan problem? Empty Does Co. Tyrone have a holigan problem?

Fun & games in Portlaoise between junior teams Dromid Pearse (Kerry) and Derrytrish (Tyrone). Though not so much fun for two Dromid players who were injured. One has concussion and the other a fractured jaw. Apparently the player suffering concussion was struck before half-time. Declan O'Sullivan was struck with a handbag (What's he doing playing junior football?). It has also been reported that some of the Derrytrish supporters has ear pieces, suggesting that this was pemediated. I think that this is the third time this year that teams and supporters from Co. Tryone clubs have been involved in such behaviour. Forget the "cancer" of payments to managers, this behaviour is an even bigger cancer. Of course no-one from Derrytrish or the Co. Tyrone Board were available for comment.

How to fix it. Suspend Derrytrish for a couple of years and warn Tryone Board that if this happens again that the Co. Tryone senior team will be suspended from all gaelic football for a couple of years, from both league and championship. Harsh, but this has to be knocked on the head.

I think your solution is fair. It needs to be dealt with quickly. GAA have been soft enough with these incidents. Stricter measures need to be enforced.

seems to be only truely highlighted when a tyrone team is involved.

would you say suspend cork if this involved a cork team? funny your quick to suspending the senior squad not surprised tbh your obivously just anti tyrone anti north sad really i could never wish to see a team suspended rival or not would be unsporting to do so.

not saying for one moment derrytresk didnt do wrong and shoouldnt be disclipined but their was two teams involved in the scrap.

I'll be very interested to see how this is dealt with. Although this is not just a Tyrone issue, Tipp seem to have had a few issues in some of their club games with supporters coming onto the pitch to attack players/officials.

The GAA do need to implement severe sanctions for such an occurrence (which seem to be coming more and more frequent).

Does Kerry have a hooligan problem as the Kerry club side were not found blameless.
Given Dr Crokes barely covered disdain for Crossmaglen Rangers supporters is there a little anti northern bias festering in Kerry.
