Apparently Haydn Smith, Saracens aussie born, US Eagles 2nd row has signed for the New York Jets in NFL. The most interesting thing I read was that they expected his new salray to dwarf the £187k he gets from Sarries. £187,000 for a backup player!

Impressive but then Sarries have the comfort of being able to spend up to the salary cap so really £187,000 isn't that much.

Especially when a lot of the youngsters will be on a lot less.

Was that sum a yearly wage or the total for say a three year contract?
