The enigmatic Rafael Nadal

Somebody defined Nadal in a well known blog as one of the most enigmatic tennis player.

Judging by this start of the season, it looks like never a name was more aptly deserved.

In a relatively brief period of time the enigmatic Spanish superstar has been the protagonist of a series of actions somewhat inexplicable for the wider audience, the more so, as they have never been fully explained in first instance by Nadal himself. In particular Nadal since the beginnig of the year has:

- Repeatedly voiced his discontent with the current mangement of the ITF/ATP regarding the most various matters as: umpiring of the matches, scheduling, doping test and ranking issues.

- Taken a month off without giving notice or full explanation of the reasons behind it, apart from a sort of delayed injury which was probably originated in 2011.

- Resigned from his vice-presidency of the ATP player council, and engaged in numerous arguments with ATP players, one of those being Federer, over the implementation of the rules.

- Suddenly pulled-out from a Master 1000 SF, with nobody noticing minimal drop in his performance before the day of retirement.

So, what's going on in the Nadal's camp, anybody able to solve the enigma?

Is that the blog where he's a caramel coloured enigma?
