Pre Season Schedule Announced - Cardinals and Saints for HoF Game

The NFL has just released the 2012 pre season schedule with it all kicking off on Sunday Aug. 5th between the Cards and Saints in Canton.


List of nationally televised games.

Auig. 5 - HoF Game - NFLN

Week 1

Aug. 9 - Packers @ Chargers - ESPN

Aug. 13 - Cowboys @ Raiders - ESPN

Week 2

Aug. 16 - Bengals @ Falcons - Fox

Aug. 17 - Lions @ Ravens - Fox

Aug. 19 - Colts @ Steelers - NBC

Aug. 20 - Eagles @ Patriots - ESPN

Week 3

Aug. 23 - Cardinals @ Titans - ESPN

Aug. 24 - Bears @ Giants - CBS

Aug. 25 - Texans @ Saints - CBS

Aug. 26 - 49ers @ Broncos - Fox

Aug, 26 - Panthers @ Jets - NBC

Now why on earth are they not televising that? Surely its one of the ideal opportunities to increase the viewing figures on a preseason game?

Do pre-season games get shown in the UK on Sky or ESPN at all?

Not as a rule on Sky but I think the ESPN games are shown. Anyone on ESPN who can confirm? If ESPN are showing the draft again in the UK, they ought to show preseason games too for their own sake.

ESPN tend to show all ESPN broadcast pre season games and screw others from actual teams networks.

I'm amazed they aren't televising that one, a lot of people would watch that game.

How does preseason scheduling work? Because the Browns have played the Packers, Lions and Bears for the last few years.

They will televise it. Just not nationally.

Most teams tend to have pre season partners. Giants always play the Jes and Patriots. Even in years when we play them in the regular season. In 2011 including pre, regular and post season we went 3-0 vs the Pats. Twice at Gillette and once on neutral ground.
