i have chopped and changed my world cup team of the tournament and here is mine

Good team cf90 but personally I'd go for:

The only position i'm not sure about is number 4. And if De Villiers is placed there then who at 6? Possibly Umar Akmal or Suresh Raina?

Also would you pick Murali? Or am I being sentimental?

Gregers I'd still pick Murali, his wickets in the tournament speak for themselves. Also, Brett Lee was the best pace-bowler in the tournament as far as I'm concerned.

what about zaheer khan pr4wn he was joint leading wicket taker and took nearly double the wickets lee took

Malinga and Zaheer are the two best pace bowlers for me,

How many more games did he play? Agreed that Zaheer was superb, though. He really has rejuvinated his career and his bowling was so disciplined.

While Malinga had some excellent spells, he was also extremely expensive at times.

I think you need Malinga just for that unpredictability, also the fear that his bowling installs in many batsmen

i would rather have zaheer than malinga

Malinga didn't really have a great tournament though did he? Expensive at times, and nearly half his wickets came from blowing away the Kenya tail.

Trott gives the innings stability and with the likes of Dilshan, Yuvraj, De Villiers and Ten Doeschate you can allow for an anchor there.

Murali may be a slightly sentimental choice, but he did have a good tounament.
Also with plenty of bowling options (Dilshan,Yuvraj and Ten Doeschate, plus at a pinch Trott and Tendulkar) you only really need 4 bowlers.
I've gone with two spinners and two pace bowlers, which seems reasonable given the way the world cup went.

mad for chelsea: thats a great side you have picked there, i would only disagree with having afridi at 8 i would have him instead of rtd and play harbajhan as well.

On second thoughts I might pick Southee or Mills instead of Malinga. Mills bowled superbly til he got injured and Southee was generally good in every game without blowing the world away.
