Really good doc said everthing has knitted well so as long as i dont get any pain he doesn't need to see me again for 6 months

It was stop and start really , didn't have any flow to it

Oh... but a win's a win. Prefer free flowing games too though.

Me too , we have the Olympic torch going past us this evening (well on the main road at the top of our street ) dont even know who's carrying it

Are you going to run out in front of it with your Hull KR flag?

It was strangley exciting , loads of people lined the road and waited for some young bloke to run past carrying a tube of metal which was on fire

It is all a big buzz. Just wait til the Games begin. It's exhilarating!

You should feel really proud of the whole shebang. I just hope the country farm scenes in the OC go smoothly... a risky but a bold move. Should be quite educational & slightly whimsical too!

Athletics isn't really my thing , but there is a buzz about Olympics

Saw Tony Robinson's show on the Olympic site... very interesting history and good to see the amazing work that's been done.
(I worked for 3 years on the Sydney site - a couple of venues plus project architect for Athlete's Village masterplan.)

Will you be watching ?

Of course... I'm addicted to Olympics. I watch just about every sport except badminton & fencing.

I think i will watch it , the max strength flu tablets are kicking in now starting to nod off

Have Swanny's brew before bed... that will help. whiskey, honey, squeeze of lemon + some water.

my bed is calling me , if had Swanny's brew on top of all these flu tablets i dont think i will every wake up

Feel lousy

Just rest mate. Must be all the sports-stress.
Had a cracking headache myself today... think it's because I had the heater on all day.
Going to get up early and go for a walk down the valley to the harbour and clear the head a bit.

I think my head has got something to do with the constant changing weather , we need a good thunder storm to clear everything

Have you tried some warm water on your face? That might help until the storm arrives.

Keep doing the old towel and bowl of hot water thing , seems to clear it for a bit

Felt like I was coming down with something on the way back from the test... my throat felt a bit hoarse. Seems OK now though.

Went to the docs yesterday to get some antibiotics and got drench to the bone on the way home so feel even worse

How was the soup? Missed the game but it sounded a bit of a fizzer.

Dont remember how the soup was to be honest , was taken really ill sunday night ended up in hospital for a few days

Sounds like you were a bit run down. I need to be careful too... I've been burning it at both ends lately. Need to regain control.

Yeh they sorted me out pumped anti biotics into me temp was 104 so the wife panicked

Mate, you've got to rest up, eat well, drink lots of water and get the legs moving again... keeps the motor running.

I've been guilty too of slackening off and not doing as much exercise as I used to; not walking as much either... got to get back into the swing again...need to kick myself along a bit if you know what I mean?

(I kicked some balls around in a park a few weeks ago. I was quite shocked at how weak & unco-ordinated I was... but after about 20-30 mins all the brain-to-legs co-ordination kicked in and I managed a miraculous drop goal. Also had a bash with a soccer ball. Legs were like jelly afterwards but I managed to drive home. It felt good for a few days. Need to have another run soon.)

They wanted me to stay in over the weekend but id had enough , going o take it easy at home

Italy are getting better... I think your tip is a good one.

Spain haven't been aggressive enough for me , they seem to want to walk the ball into the net or score the perfect goal . Where as Italy are more direct and i think that will cause Spain problems

You could be right. Spain are assuming they will walk it. They could be in for a big shock.

Well the true Spain came out to play tonight and Italy let them

Turned out to be a thrashing... Spain are a class side though.
