dafydd lockyer
when o when will a regional team pick this guy up. been the outstanding welsh premiership player for the last two seasons, even though he was injured for a large chunck of this current campaign. At 26, he still young enough to get better. why isnt this guy been given a regional chance?

Dafydd Lockyer - Welsh rugby writers' Premiership Player of the Year
29.4.2012
Dafydd Lockyer - a centre of excellence
Pontypridd centre Dafydd Lockyer has been voted Premiership Player of the Year by the Welsh rugby writers.
This season’s Player of the Principality Premiership is Dafydd Lockyer of Pontypridd, another strong centre who has consistently shone in both attack and defence. Runner-up in this category last season, he was the writers’ first choice this time, with Jordan Williams {Llanelli] and Steffan Jones [Cross Keys] also figuring meaningfully in the ballot. Names of players from most of the Premiership clubs were put forward by the writers.
The three awards will be presented at the annual dinner of Welsh Rugby Writers’ Association at Cardiff rugby club on 28th June.
Darren Lockyer (born 24 March 1977 in Brisbane, Queensland) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer of the 1990s and 2000s who is considered to be the greatest player of all time. After seventeen seasons he retired in 2011 as captain of the Australian national team, Queensland State of Origin team and his club, the Brisbane Broncos, having set records for most ever games with each of them. He set additional all-time records for most National Rugby League matches, most State of Origin matches, most games as captain and most tries for the Australian national team, and highest ever point-scorer for the Broncos. Named at fullback of a Queensland team of the century (1908-2007), Lockyer won three grand finals with the Broncos (including a Clive Churchill Medal), a World Cup with Australia, and the Golden Boot Award for world's best player in this position before switching to five-eighth. In the halves, Lockyer won a fourth grand final with the Broncos, a record six consecutive State of Origin series with Queensland, and a second Golden Boot Award. Lockyer has also written a column for Queensland newspaper, The Courier Mail[1] and, since retiring, has worked as a rugby league television commentator.

Didn't Dafydd Lockyer have a shot with the Blues some years ago? I seem to remember he did not make the grade.
