Now who in the UK is excited about this event?

Who is going? Is this going to be treated like a training event?

I would possibly send Gemili and Balorinwa from the men's sprints. European Athletics Championships 27th June - 1st July 590675 Send out all the Juniors we can [ where seniors aren't looking to compete or where we don't have enough depth ] Give them the chance to gain valuable experience.

Yep bolorinwa and gemili should both go. Pozzi? Any other youngsters? I saw someone posted about the 17 yearold jumping like 7.70 in the long jump(might have been you SJ), should they go?

Yes. Pozzi should go! Jodie Williams too.

Regarding long jump of 7.70 - may have been teassoc who brought that to our attention; it seems it was a young lad called Oliver Newport. Phenomenal effort! Have tracked the result on powerof10.info/

We have an 18 year old called Charlie Grice who's run 3:41.16 in the 1500m [ ahead by 5secs of the next fastest under 20 ]. And even more immensely, we have female athlete called Jessica Judd who's run 2:02.50 for the 800m - and she's still only 17!

We have some great young talents out there. Certainly would be good for the most promising if they were able to get experience at a major event early on in their careers European Athletics Championships 27th June - 1st July 3610695981

This is quite a unique opportunity for young athletes to get major championship experiance, with so many of the older athletes likely to focus on the olympics. When would the squad be announced? Also when would the olympic trials be?

Some, if not all, of these juniors will be going to the World Junior Championships in Barcelona July 10 – July 15.

We certainly have a huge amount of talent developing across a wide range of events.
