I don't understand what you mean by regular season winners. What is this?

The regular season winners are the ones who finish at the season at the top of the league, for example, this year it was Harlequins and they went on to win the play offs but the year before it was Leicester who went on to lose)

But them haven't won anything. They quite often haven't even won the most games. Perhaps if it was "table toppers" that would be clearer. Perhaps an edit Portnoy
