Well I am probably looking at a Arteta-Xavi-Cabaye midfield now, with a policy of holding possession rather than using a standard CDM. (incidently...thoughts on that???).

The problem is a) 35.5m won't get me replacements for the pair b) my squad is small so any transfer hits hard in one position and leading to that c) I don't think I can offer you a deal where you would take Xavi really.

I can't afford to lose M'Vila AND Jovetic for him.

The young talent at Everton is very good but don't seem to get the attention from media as other team player. Maybe it's got to do with Moyes always trying to hide the lads. Francisco playing alongside Barkley in a 4-4-2?

Something like;

Tevez + Asamoah + Abel Hernandez = Xavi

No deal on that. What about;

Xavi + Vucinic + Honda + £30m = Bale + Tevez + Khedira

I understand your point about losing Xavi and it having to be in your favour, but the same applies to all three of those players who are first teamers for me.

Xavi => Khedira
but
Bale > Vucinic
Tevez > Honda
and £30m would make it worth doing. If not i'd be very very happy with Bale, Tevez and Khedira.

You might rate Vucinic over Bale but I doubt too many others will considering Vucinic remained unsold for so long and Bale was a target for quite a few people once Olly signed him as his Star Player last season.

I know Xavi > Khedira but Khedira offers me more in a box to box role. For those who look at names, Xavi and Schweinsteiger would be great in my midfield but for the actual team it would require a more defensive midfielder in there as well.

If he moves, his value will go up to at least £30m. That is what happened to Hazard as soon as he went Chelsea (he was worth £25m before hand).

So I would laugh in the face of your £26m when I will probably get £35m easy from lawyers Laugh

Yeah if you offer me players in other positions where I'll improve we can do a deal. I'm not interested in Xavi one bit I would need to change my whole style to accomodate him and it's not worth ripping my squad for one player.

Vidal is the only player I'd want but I've already got Javi Garcia who I think is better as a dedicated DM.

I can't see a player from your side that makes me think he would improve me alot especially if I'm losing Pirlo and Valencia.
