Alan Isaac...Good Bad or Ugly? Empty Alan Isaac...Good Bad or Ugly?

Spiltting of from this https://www.606v2.com/t31716-bcci-negative-press-day which was intended as a place to bitch about the BCCI

Allan Issac is a week into his new job as the head of the International Cricket Council, the third most important body in the sport (behind the BCCI and Mike Gattings catering company)

So whats he done so far?

1 - Refused to follow up on the ICCs own recommendations to bring in universal DRS, the only objectors being ...well we know the answer to that

2 - Accused the All Blacks of poaching Pacific Islanders, always very important to wade into debates in other sports especially with views utterly ignorant of the facts.

3 - Suggested that New Zealanders would rather play for Australia than New Zealand

4 - Come up with the notion that Irelands improvement since their inclusion in the 2007 world cup is a justification for having a world cup limited to 10 teams, and touted 1997 with 9 teams as the best model for a world cup (which he has some valid points in, especially cutting out endless pool games and the thing dragging on forever)

5 -Had some free dinners

6- Actually said "Obviously I haven't watched any cricket"...well obviously, why would you?

7 - P1ssed on Irelands chances of being a test playing nation by 2020 despite stating its a worthy aim and essentially saying they arent proper cricketers if they dont play tests.

8 - Boosted funding for Ireland and Scotland by £500,000, although I assume thats long been budgeted?

9 - Supported increased matches between associates and full members, and increased cooperation between the ECB and Cricket Ireland

So business as usual at the ICC by the looks of it.
